The creator and stars of 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' gave fans a taste of what's to come as the series nears its long-awaited ending.

'Personally, it feels very satisfying,' Han, 44, told Entertainment Weekly in an interview published on Monday, July 14.
'The Summer I Turned Pretty,' based on Han's beloved trilogy of books, follows a love triangle between Belly and the Fisher brothers, Conrad and Jeremiah. Season 3, adapted from 2011's 'We'll Always Have Summer,' sees Belly finally choose between them.

Picking up two years after the events of Season 2, Belly and Jeremiah decide to get married, against her mother's wishes — but the surprise arrival of Conrad, Belly's first love, leaves her questioning whether she's truly ready to let go of her past — or of Conrad.

Tung told the outlet she was 'very emotional' while filming the entire final season, but especially during her last scenes as Belly.
'I cried, naturally, many, many times,' she said. 'I was 18 when I was first cast, and I [had] just finished my first year of college, and I was 22 when we wrapped this year.'

'I really, really do feel like I have grown up a lot on the show… it's just been such a big chapter of my life — in a very important part of my life,' she added. 'It felt very special, very emotional, and [I'm] very proud and just happy with how everything's gone and how the story's been received.'

While she didn't get emotional when wrapping the series finale, Han said she 'definitely cried' watching the actors bring her characters to life one last time.
'It was, in some ways, surreal,' Han said of the series coming to an end. 'I remember Lola was like, 'You're not crying that hard,' and I was like, 'I'm always going to know you, and it doesn't feel like goodbye to me.''

She added, 'Lola is so special and dear to me. This is such a moment in time, but this girl, I'll see her soon.'

Casalegno, 25, shared that he especially loved where the story leaves Jeremiah.
'It was fun, especially on my side of things, seeing how much the character grew throughout the season and how you could really see the maturity in the decisions toward the end of the series,' he said. 'The final scenes were kind of a nice, happy button for Jeremiah — at least I hope that people watching feel that way.'
Han told the outlet that 'some of [her] favorite stuff was writing that arc' for Casalegno's character.

'All the work he was doing in the back half of the season, it was a real pleasure to see,' she gushed.
Similarly, Briney, 27, described bringing Conrad's journey to a close as 'bittersweet.'

'I just treated every season like, 'Hopefully, we get another one,'' he said. 'It's nice to finish our trilogy and to capstone that story that we signed up to hopefully get to the end of. It was good.'

For fans of the original books, Han told People that certain moments from the third book might not unfold the way readers expect.
'There are a couple of moments that people really love from the books that I knew that people were wanting to see,' Han confessed. 'I wanted to make sure that I was going to really service those fans who've been following the story for a really long time.

To do that, she watches closely and stays in tune with what audiences respond to.

'I, as much as I can, try to keep my finger on the pulse of how the audience is feeling but also really be guided by my own compass in terms of story,' Han told Elle Canada.
On making changes from the books, Han shared, 'At times, it's challenging; at times, it's not.'

'It comes down to listening to your own inner voice and following you gut, and that will guide you the rest of the way,' she added.
However, Han's well aware it's impossible to make every fan happy.

'At the end of the day, you have to please yourself and stand by what you made,' she said. 'And, you know, I think I feel that way. I feel really proud of the thing that we made.'

Trump seen pocketing FIFA medal as he walks on stage to hand Chelsea replica club championship trophy
Trump seen pocketing FIFA medal as he walks on stage to hand Chelsea replica club championship trophy U.S. President Donald Trump was seen sneakily pocketing a FIFA Club World Cup winners medal onstage moments before he handed Chelsea a replica trophy. The president was given the medal to look at by Gianni Infantino while handing others out to the winning squad at New Jersey's Metlife Stadium Sunday. Though videos showed Trump later tucked the medal into his suit blazer when the FIFA CEO seemingly reached for it back. Advertisement Infantino appeared to shrug off the incident, flashing the thumbs up and allowing Trump to keep the medal. Eagle-eyed social media users were quick to react to the clip, which went viral over the weekend and following the game, with one labeling the brazen act 'The Art of the Steal.' 'He didn't play a minute,' complained another. Advertisement Before the showpiece game, held at the 80,000-seat stadium in New Jersey, Trump told broadcaster DAZN that the real trophy currently sits in the Oval Office, after it was gifted to him by Infantino during a visit in March. 'They said, 'Could you hold this trophy for a little while?' We put it in the Oval Office,' Trump said. 'And then I said, 'When are you going to pick up the trophy?' He says, 'We're never going to pick it up. You can have it forever in the Oval Office. We're making a new one.'' 'And they actually made a new one. Jennifer Love Hewitt Shows Off Her Curves in Gorgeous Little Black Dress on Red Carpet
Jennifer Love Hewitt looked radiant at the red carpet premiere of the I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot. Hewitt, 46, flaunted her curves in a black, beaded dress on Monday, July 14, accessorizing the look with glittery black heels and a ring on nearly every finger. The redhead kept her makeup tastefully dramatic with a smoky eye and glossy pink lip. She smiled as she posed for photos in downtown Los Angeles alongside costars Freddie Prinze Jr., Chase Sui Wonders, Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon and Jonah Hauer-King. Hewitt starred with Prinze Jr., 49, in the original I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997), where their characters, Julie James and Ray Bronson, are stalked by a serial killer after they try to cover up a car accident that supposedly kills a stranger. The pair reprise their respective roles in the reboot, which hits theaters on Friday, July 18. What to Know About New 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' Movie With Jennifer Love Hewitt's Return The film's trailer dropped in April, and showed Cline's character, Danica Richards, taking a bath — completely unaware that her boyfriend is being murdered downstairs. Afterward, she asks a friend if the killing was 'some kind karma for what we did,' adding, 'What if someone saw what happened?' Danica's fears are seemingly substantiated when she receives a card that warns, terrifyingly, 'I know what you did last summer.' Hewitt has heard that line before. At the end of the trailer, Sui Wonders' character is shown recruiting Julie, now older and still-traumatized, for help. 'I just have one question. What did you do last summer?' Julie asks. Freddie Prinze Jr. Says Ray's 'Trauma' Is What Drew Him Back to 'IKWYDLS,' Teases 'Big' Role Hewitt also played the horror heroine in the 1998 sequel, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, opposite Prinze Jr., Brandy and Mekhi Phifer. A new cast headlined a third film, I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer (2006), and in 2021, Prime Video launched a TV series that was canceled after one season. 'Listen, I loved doing those movies,' Hewitt exclusively told Us Weekly in May 2024, as speculation swirled that she'd soon return to the franchise. 'There is nothing more fun than doing a horror movie. It's the best. Julie James is awesome. I do think that there's unfinished business there, and so I would be happy to do it.' Earlier this year, the actress took to Instagram and shared a makeup-free selfie, telling her fans that she's 'learning to love the skin I'm in more and more these days.' In a separate post, she marked her 46th birthday in February with another bare-faced photo. Jennifer Love Hewitt Says Fans Have 'Hard Time Accepting' She Doesn't Look the Same as She Did at 20 'It's been a hard start to the year,' she revealed at the time. 'I don't quite feel myself. But yet I feel like maybe this is all to bring me closer to who I am meant to be.' She thanked her family for supporting her as she navigates aging in the public eye. 'In this feeling of loss and being lost I have found a strange calm and letting go that doesn't usually come easy to me,' she added. 'I know that I have the greatest kids and husband ever. My brother's hugs heal me. I feel my mom with me everyday. My friends make me want to be a better human daily.' She continued: 'I have all the things I really need and long truly for nothing other than joyful moments, continuing in the career I love, more time with friends, delicious food and to feel a shift to this year that brings clarity and hopefully the return of a little magic.'

Stevie Wonder addresses longstanding rumor that he's not really blind
He just called to say you're mistaken. Stevie Wonder addressed the longstanding rumor that he isn't actually blind during the Cardiff, Wales stop on his Love, Light and Song UK tour. 'I must say to all of you, something that I was thinking, 'When did I want to let the world know this?' But I wanted to say it right now,' Wonder, 75, said as seen in an Instagram video from a concertgoer on July 10. Advertisement 'You know there have been rumors about me seeing and all that? 'Now, that was a blessing because it's allowed me to see the world in the vision of truth, of sight. See people in the spirit of them, not how they look. Not what color they are, but what color is their spirit?' Over the years, many celebrities have made cracks about Wonder not really being blind. 'What y'all don't know is, Stevie can see,' the actor, 54, said while sharing the story of how he challenged Wonder to a basketball game. 'It's just an act.' She was just fast enough to catch me,' he said of his mother. 'She knew I had to learn — and the more she allowed me to do, the more she could let go.
