Brad Binder hopes to regain confidence ahead of Aragon MotoGP
Red Bull KTM man has slipped to a lowly 14th place in the premier class world championship.

Despite returning to a happy hunting ground at the Aragon MotoGP this weekend, that is still no guarantee for Brad Binder to stop the rot he is currently experiencing on his Red Bull KTM RC16.
Binder only managed a solitary championship point in his last four starts and is languishing in 14th place on 34 points in the title race. He is already a mammoth 162 points behind leader Marc Marquez (196) after just seven out of 22 rounds.
The KTM man finished fourth twice in the premier class at the 5.08km layout in Spain, while he also took the chequered flag twice at Aragon in Moto2.
Brad Binder hopes to improve
'I need to regain my confidence and take advantage of the good feelings when they come,' Binder told the PaddockGP website after the last race at Silverstone.
After crashing out twice in France and then in the sprint race at Silverstone, Binder finished 15th in the main race, citing his struggles with the RC16.
'The last thing I want is to not finish four races in a row. And even when I'm driving at my limit, I'm asking myself, 'What am I doing?'

'A little tricky'
'This is certainly not ideal. Don't get me wrong, I know I'm not supposed to be riding in 15th position. But that's how it is. That's really my level right now,' he continued.
'It's a little tricky. But I must regain confidence. And I'm sure we'll get there.'
The situation in the KTM garage is so dire that it rumoured Binder's team-mate Pedro Acosta, touted as a future premier class champ, has been in talks with various other manufacturers to jump ship. Binder is still contracted until the end of next year.

Darryn good to go
Gresini Moto2 confirmed that Brad Binder's younger brother Darryn Binder will race in Spain. He missed the French and British Grands Prix with an arm injury and has undergone 'three intense weeks of rehabilitation and physiotherapy'.
Teenager Ruché Moodley will eye another points finish in Aragon after making a low-key return at Silverstone. The BOE Motorsport rider was still recovering from a from fractured radius in his right arm he suffered during practice at the Spanish Grand Prix, an incident he also had to serve two long-lap penalties for at Silverstone.
The MotoGP sprint race starts at 3pm on Saturday and the main at 2pm on Sunday. The lights go out fir the Moto3 race at 11am on Sunday, with Moto2 action getting underway at 12.15pm.

The double world champs showed their class in wet and rainy conditions, running the famed invitational team ragged, scoring eight tries to one for their biggest win ever over them. Here are four talking points from the match: Set piece dominance From the very first scrum the Boks showed who was boss as Ox Nche smashed French prop Paul Alo-Emile to earn a penalty and set the tone for a dominant scrum showing throughout the match. Their maul was also in good working order as they rumbled over two tries. The two front rows of Nche, Malcolm Marx and Asenathi Ntlabakanye, and Jane Hendrik Wessels, Marnus van der Merwe and Neethling Fouche were all solid. But it wasn't a perfect performance as they were penalised a couple of times at scrum time and missed a lineout or two, leaving them with a number of work-ons heading into the incoming series against Italy and Georgia. Big scoreline, but not ruthless If you didn't watch the game, seeing a 54-7 scoreline against a Barbarians team featuring a slew of experienced players, you would think it was a dominant performance. But while the Boks did produce a decent showing overall, they still left plenty of points out there, although the tough conditions played a part. It was a cracking start from them as Malcolm Marx, Cheslin Kolbe and Vincent Tshituka dotted down in the first 22 minutes, but they fell off over the rest of the half to lead 19-0 at the break. The second half was a better finishing performance as they added a further five tries, through a second to Tshituka as well as Jan-Hendrik Wessels, Kurt-Lee Arendse, Lood de Jager and Damian de Allende. Solid starts for the newbies It was a solid start for the Springbok newbies with four players making their first appearances in the green and gold. Although it won't count as an official cap, Vincent Tshituka, Asenathi Ntlabakanye, Neethling Fouche and Marnus van der Merwe all got a decent run in the match. Tshituka was the star of the newcomers, playing the full 80 minutes and dotting down twice, while Ntlabakanye over 44 minutes, and Fouche and Van Der Merwe over 36 minutes, produced solid showings in the front row, and all four will feel that they've done more than enough to get another look in and their first Bok cap. Rassie shows his innovation once again Bok coach Rassie Erasmus is a maverick of innovation when it comes to rugby, much to the consternation of the traditionalists in world rugby, with him often making a splash like being water boy when he was Director or Rugby, or introducing the 7-1 spilt. Against the BaaBaas the wily coach again tried something new, when he brought the entire bench on in the 44th minute. Many were surprised to see big centre Andre Esterhuizen packing down at flank after replacing Marco van Staden, with him playing the rest of the game there, which also gave them an extra backline option at times. The question now will be if Erasmus will do it in an official Test, or if this was a once off.

Quartararo takes pole for Dutch MotoGP
French rider Fabio Quartararo will start from pole for the fourth time this season after posting the fastest time in qualifying on Saturday for the Dutch MotoGP. The 26-year-old 2021 world champion, who will also start from pole for the sprint race later on Saturday, has yet to transform his excellent qualifying performances this season into victories. For the Yamaha rider it was a welcome return to form having failed to finish in three of the last four MotoGPs. The most crushing disappointment of all came when he was set for his first win since Germany in 2022 but suffered a technical problem in the British MotoGP last month. However, he was back to his optimistic self post-qualifying on Saturday. "I would not say I am the favourite, but I am one of the podium contenders for sure," he said. "I feel good, the bike is in good shape." He will be joined on the front row by Italy's two-time world champion Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) and Spain's Alex Marquez (Ducati-Gresini). Marquez's older brother and series leader Marc Marquez (Ducati), will start on the second row, having timed fourth fastest in qualifying. Marc Marquez -- who is the only other rider apart from Quartararo to have started on pole this season -- has had a rough couple of days, having fallen twice in Friday's practice sessions. "They were not high speed crashes but the problem was the run-off areas were made up of large pebbles and not gravel like the other race tracks," said Marquez, who had suffered bruising and also had to have a stitch to seal a cut in his jaw. Marc Marquez leads his brother by 40 points in the standings, with Bagnaia a distant third, 110 points adrift, heading into the 10th MotoGP of the 22 race campaign.
