MN: Maignan and Gimenez train solo again – doubts about Atalanta game grow

Yahoo17-04-2025
AC Milan continued their preparations at Milanello in view of the visit of Atalanta on Sunday night, but Santiago Gimenez and Mike Maignan were not present.
As MilanNews reports, particular attention is being paid to the conditions of Maignan and Gimenez. The former not at his best due to a head injury that he sustained in the win over Udinese, while the latter has a rib problem which occurred in the draw with Fiorentina.
The duo carried out individual work today, preparatory to their return to the field, which is expected in the next few days. Their presence against Atalanta remains in doubt, with Marco Sportiello ready to replace the Frenchman, and one between Luka Jovic and Tammy Abraham to step in for the Mexican.
With Maignan's injury being quite a nasty looking knock to the head, it is very much understandable that the utmost caution is being exercised. The good news was that a CT scan earlier in the week cleared him of any further implications.
Gimenez meanwhile probably wants nothing more than to get back out on the pitch given he has not scored since mid-February. As Milan's big splash in the winter mercato, there will be the desire to begin repaying the investment.

Inter ready to make new offer for Atalanta's Ademola Lookman

Serie A giants Inter have previously fallen short of Atalanta's valuation of Ademola Lookman. Now, they are making a higher offer.
