
BJP organises Atmeeya Sammelan
The event was graced by district BJP president G M Shekhar and former Kadiri MLA M S Parthasarathi as chief guests.
The newly-elected district general secretaries Harikrishna Goud and Amaradevendra Sake Obulesh, district official spokesperson Jyothi Prasad, State council members Sunil Vytla and L.V. Ramesh Babu, district treasurer Surendra Babu, secretaries Kusuma Jayaram and Dola Rajareddy, social media co-convener Medar Srinivasulu and executive committee members Soke Ram Anjaneyulu and Gayatri Yadav were felicitated with shawls by the district president.
Addressing the gathering, party leaders urged the newly-elected committee members to strengthen the party at the grassroots level and work diligently for its development.
They emphasised the importance of collaborating with senior party leaders, considering their advice and guidance while implementing new initiatives.
Also present at the event were State Dalit Morcha President Gudise Devanand, senior BJP leaders Talupula Gangadhar, Uttam Reddy, former general secretary Sudarshan Katti Rajareddy, Mekala Sheen, Kondam Raju Balagangadhar and town general secretaries Narayana and Lakshminarayana Naik, among others.
The meeting concluded with a call for unity, dedication and structured efforts to expand the BJP's reach and effectiveness across villages in the constituency.

Udaipur Files producer Amit Jani given Y-category security amid threats

Attack during Modi's ‘Mann Ki Baat' programme in Tripura leaves seven BJP workers injured
GUWAHATI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' programme at a Tripura village turned violent on Sunday, when an alleged group of Tipra Motha Party (TMP) 'goons' attacked BJP workers, leaving at least seven of them injured. TMP denied its involvement. TMP and BJP are allies and constituents of the state government. The incident occurred at the Taksapara village falling under the Asharambari Assembly constituency in Khowai district. Around 30 BJP workers had assembled at the place to listen to Modi. The injured were admitted to the Khowai district hospital. The condition of two was reportedly critical. About 15 bikes and two cars were also damaged by the attackers. Authorities deployed a large number of security personnel to the place after the incident. No arrest was made when reports last came in.

Six BJP workers injured in alleged TIPRA Motha attack in Tripura
At least six Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers sustained injuries when activists of the Tipra Motha party allegedly attacked a BJP office during the Prime Minister's Mann Ki Baat radio programme at Asharambari in Khowai district on Sunday (July 27, 2025). Tipra Motha leader and Forest Minister Animesh Debbarma, who returned from New Delhi on Sunday (July 27, 2025), denied his party's involvement in the incident. Local BJP leaders claimed that over 50 Tipra Motha members, armed with sticks and sharp-cutting weapons, attacked the party's Mandal office and assaulted BJP cadres. Two cars and five motorcycles were reportedly damaged in the attack. The BJP office was also vandalised during the incident. Police said an investigation has been initiated but no arrests have been made so far. Asharambari is a tribal Assembly constituency where the Tipra Motha has a significant presence. BJP State president and Rajya Sabha MP Rajiv Bhattacharjee condemned the incident. Leader of the Opposition and CPI(M) State secretary Jitendra Chowdhury also criticised the Tipra Motha for the alleged attack. Clashes between BJP and Tipra Motha supporters have become frequent in interior areas of the State, particularly over organisational expansion. Several persons were injured in recent clashes in the Charilam and Takarjala areas.
