Dexus sues AMP as stoush over $1.7b Macquarie Centre widens
Dexus is suing against wealth management giant AMP over the sale value of Sydney's billion-dollar Macquarie Shopping Centre, which the ASX-listed property and infrastructure owner was forced to hand over to major superannuation fund investors. AMP said it would defend the action, which was lodged in the Supreme Court of NSW this week. In a brief statement, it said the law suit related to 'the disposal of the Macquarie Shopping Centre' as it demerged parts of its once-sprawling empire including asset management to focus on wealth after the financial services royal commission.
