Tickets for Christopher Nolans The Odyssey sell out in minutes

Los Angeles, Jul 18 (PTI) The tickets for the upcoming film 'The Odyssey" from the acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan were sold out in minutes after going live for the first screening shows, a year before its release.
Featuring a star-studded cast comprising Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, Anne Hathaway, and Charlize Theron, the film is slated to hit the big screen on July 17, 2026.
IMAX shared the news of the pre-sale of the tickets for the first screenings on Thursday, on its official Instagram handle.
The post featured the schedule of the first screenings.
'Get tickets now to experience the first IMAX 70mm screenings of #TheOdysseyMovie – A film by Christopher Nolan. In theatres 7 17 2026. Link in Bio," read the caption.
According to the entertainment news outlet The Hollywood Reporter, the July 17-19 weekend and preview showings have been entirely sold out at AMC Lincoln Square 13 in New York City, the Universal Cinema AMC at CityWalk Hollywood, and the Regal Irvine Spectrum in Orange County.
The tickets in San Francisco, Dublin and Ontario are about the get sold out.
The project is an adaptation of the ancient Greek epic poem 'Odyssey" by Homer.
Homer's 'Odyssey" follows Odysseus, who spends years travelling back home from the Trojan War while battling mythical creatures and faces the wrath of the gods in his journey.
Nolan's film is not the first adaptation of the epic. It has previously been adapted in the 1954 movie 'Ulysses". Directed by Mario Camerini, the film starred Kirk Douglas.

Mahavatar Narsimha is the first film in an ambitious animated franchise centred on the ten avatars of Lord Vishnu. Produced by Kleem Productions and Hombale Films, the series is expected to unfold over the next decade with titles such as Mahavatar Parshuram (2027), Mahavatar Raghunandan (2029), Mahavatar Dhawkadhesh (2031), Mahavatar Gokulananda (2033), and Mahavatar Kalki in two parts (2035 and 2037). The film, produced by Shilpaa Dhawan, Kushal Desai, and Chaitanya Desai, explores the well-known story of Prahlada and his tyrannical father, Hiranyakashipu. Despite being granted near-immortality by Lord Brahma, the king's attempts to harm his devout son fail, eventually prompting Lord Vishnu to intervene in the form of his fierce fourth avatar, Narsimha. Sanjay Dutt Reveals What He Did With Rs 72 Crore Property That Fan Left Him Before Dying
Last Updated: Sanjay Dutt returned a Rs 72 crore inheritance from fan Nisha Patil to her family. It's not every day that someone leaves you property worth Rs 72 crore. However, that's exactly what happened to Sanjay Dutt. The actor recently opened up about this unbelievable moment in his life and revealed that he chose to return the entire inheritance to the fan's family. In a conversation with Curly Tales, Dutt was asked whether it was true that a female fan had bequeathed him the property before passing away in 2018. Confirming the story, he said simply, 'I gave it back to her family." Back in 2018, a devoted fan of Sanjay Dutt, Nisha Patil, made headlines after she left her entire property, worth a massive Rs 72 crore, to the actor. The unexpected gesture left Dutt stunned. Nisha, a 62-year-old homemaker from Mumbai, was reportedly suffering from a terminal illness and had informed her bank to hand over all her assets to Dutt after her death. The actor, who made his debut in 1981 with Rocky, has enjoyed a successful, albeit controversial, career in Hindi cinema. Over the decades, Dutt starred in a range of popular films including Vidhaata, Naam, Saajan, Khal Nayak and Vaastav, cementing his place as one of Bollywood's most charismatic actors. However, his journey was interrupted by legal troubles.
