Kyline Alcantara says she learned about ‘boundaries, self respect' after last relationship

GMA Network4 days ago
Kyline Alcantara has opened up about her recent relationship and heartbreak, sharing the significant lessons she gained from the experience.
On Friday's 'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,' the Sparkle star still described the relationship itself as a positive experience despite the emotional challenges it came with.
'It was a beautiful experience. I felt really happy. I felt really loved. It's just that we're two different people, and that's OK. And that is OK. I've learned a lot of lessons in that relationship, and I will always treasure every experience or achievements na nagawa naming dalawa,' Kyline said.
Admittedly, Kyline said that there was bitterness at first.
'But ngayon po, wala na at all kasi, again, you cannot be bothered by the things that you cannot control,' she said.
When asked what the lessons she learned from it were, Kyline said, 'Knowing your boundaries and having self-respect. Siguro 'yun po 'yung dalawang importante na natutunan ko sa relationship na 'yon.'
She also shared that her reasoning for not speaking publicly about the breakup stemmed from a place of respect and grace.
'Kaya hindi po ako nagsalita kasi I still have respect for him as a person despite everything that happened. And sa lahat naman po ng mga tao na nasaktan ako, I will always show them grace,' she said.
Looking ahead, Kyline is focused on personal growth and moving forward.
'Kailangan po nating mag-move forward sa buhay,' she said.
In the same "Fast Talk" interview, Kyline turned emotional as she shared how her friend and "Beauty Empire" co-star Barbie Forteza helped her cope with her recent heartbreak.
"Si Barbie talaga, iba po talaga siya. Maiiyak ako, kasi iba po talaga si Barbie. She just gave me my confidence back, she made me realize na, 'Ikaw muna mare,'" she said, tearing up.
In an earlier GMA Integrated News interview with Nelson Canlas, which aired in '24 Oras' Thursday, Kyline said that her heart is doing good and better now.
She even reassured others not to worry about her. "Please don't worry about me. Please don't. I can handle this. Baka strong woman 'to."
Kyline currently stars in 'Beauty Empire' with Barbie.
It airs Mondays to Thursdays at 9:35 p.m. on GMA Network. It is also available on Viu.

Pirena wakes up after long slumber in mortal world

Pirena (Glaiza De Castro) has finally awakened after a long slumber in the mortal world. Monday's episode of "Encantadia Chronicle: Sang'gre" showed Pirena waking up in a forest. After being wounded by Zaur (Gabby Eigenmann), Pirena fled to the mortal world in a weakened state. There, she was found by dwarves who took her to a hidden sanctuary and cared for her as she lay unconscious, giving her time to heal. Meanwhile, Terra (Bianca Umali), confessed that she was behind the missing food supply from the warehouse owned by Emil (Ricky Davao). It can be remembered that with the help of doves, she took the food and distributed it to the residents of District VI. After her confession, Terra—who was celebrating her birthday—was immediately taken to jail. She ended up spending her special day alone behind bars, crying as she held a cupcake given to her by her friends. "Sang'gre" airs on GMA Network from Mondays to Fridays at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras."
