A Korean tech YouTuber is currently putting the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 through an extreme durability test, folding and unfolding it live on YouTube with a goal of hitting 200,000 folds. Yes, by hand. And no, we don't recommend trying this at home unless you have a lot of patience (and nothing better to do for several days). Honestly, it's kind of nice that the YouTuber is doing the hard work so the rest of us don't have to.
How's the Galaxy Z Fold 7 holding up?
As of writing this, the fold count has reached 113,368, meaning the YouTuber is likely a day or so away from reaching the 200,000 mark. It's worth noting that Samsung officially rates the Z Fold 7's internal OLED panel for up to 500,000 folds under ideal conditions. Still, manually folding it that many times might take over a week and probably the YouTuber's sanity. Aiming for 200,000 folds seems like a more reasonable target.
Along the way, the YouTuber is pausing at certain milestones to check how the phone is doing. At 95,000 folds, everything appeared normal. The display was rendering colors correctly, touch sensitivity was intact, and components like the speakers were working fine.
After hitting 100,000 folds, a slight crackling sound began to appear while opening and closing the phone. Despite the noise, the inner display continued to function without flickering or visible damage.
By 105,021 folds, the screen was still fully functional, although the crease had become noticeably deeper.
Will it make it to 200,000? We think so. Samsung has used a 50% thicker Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) layer on the inner display of the Fold 7 to improve shock absorption. There's also a new high-elastic adhesive that binds the OLED layers and, as per Samsung, offers four times the recovery performance compared to previous materials. Moreover, a high-strength titanium plate backs the screen. With all this, and the lab results previously provided by Samsung, we feel the Fold 7 should survive the YouTuber's test.
However, since the fold test is being done manually and not in controlled lab conditions, it should give us a more realistic idea of how repeated folding affects the device in everyday use.

The difference between the two leaks isn't huge, but they both reinforce the same message: Samsung is taking battery concerns seriously this time around. The S25 Edge combined a sharper display and higher-resolution camera with a smaller battery than the base S25, so it wasn't surprising to see worse battery life in our testing — though the drop-off was bigger than you might expect from a 100mAh difference. If this latest number holds, the S26 Edge would slot between the S25 and S25 Plus in terms of capacity, rather than still being lower than the cheapest of those two models. Indications are that we won't get a Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus next year anyway, with them both to be ditched for an S26 Plus model, but it's a decent benchmark nonetheless. Google Makes $426 Offer To Pixel 9 Buyers Ahead Of Pixel 10 Launch
Following the company's huge Pixel 8 Pro price drop , and giving away 12 months of Google AI Pro to Pixel 9 owners, Google is back with one last discount before the Pixel 10 lands. This is the company's deepest discount for the Pixel 9 series yet. There will almost certainly be more after the Pixel 10 officially launches this month, but I don't see Google dropping the price by much more until next year. Should You Wait For The Google Pixel 10? That depends on how patient you are. Google is promising an "exclusive offer' to people who sign up for marketing emails. I'd guess this is a free accessory or subscription for people who pre-order the phone. But even with pre-order deals, these phones will dramatically drop in price soon after their launch. Google has run some form of deal for its flagship Pixel phone almost every month since the Pixel 8. The price drops grow the further away the device is from its launch, as you can see with this Pixel 9 deal. Those discounts will start as early as October, especially as Samsung prepares to launch its Galaxy S25 FE and Apple's iPhone 17 lands.

Galaxy S25 FE is looking a bit blue in its latest leak

The leak also provides a render of what these colors may look like. The next Samsung phone we should see drop this year is the Galaxy S25 FE. Leaks for the Fan Edition flagship have started to ramp up in recent weeks, from RAM and storage to real-life images. A new leak may have shed some light on what colors will be available when the device launches. According to a report from the Galaxy S25 FE will come in at least four colors. Those four colors are said to include Light Blue, Dark Blue, Black, and White. In this leak, we also get the render below, depicting what these colors might look like. The outlet claims this information comes from a reliable source, but warns that the final colors could differ, have different names, and more colors may be added. A little over a week ago, there was a leak that claimed these colors were called Navy, Iceblue, Jetblack, and White. That leak also revealed that the phone might have 8GB of RAM and 128GB and 256GB of storage. Regardless of the different names, it seems both leaks do at least agree on the shades. Outside of the colorways, we have heard from previous leaks that the device could sport a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display. That display should also have thinner bezels than the S24 FE and have a peak brightness of 2,600nits. Elsewhere, the S25 FE is expected to have an upgraded front camera, from 10MP to 12MP.
