He pulled out all the stops, proposing on a balcony looking out to the sea. It was decked with what seemed to be thousands of red roses, with a huge red heart containing the words 'will you marry me?' Cummings got down on one knee and got the answer he desired from emotional Hannah. The loved-up couple have been together for a number of years. Hannah comes from a footballing family herself. She's the sister of Scotland cap Josh Doig, who's currently in Italy playing for Sassuolo in Serie A. The former Hibs, Rangers and Dundee frontman quit Scotland for a new life in Australia in 2022 and has never looked back. He quickly became a star at Central Coast Mariners with his goals helping fire the club to A-League title glory in his second season. Cummings also switched international allegiance and made the Australia squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Inside Jason Cummings' wild celebrations after ex Rangers star pops up with crucial goal to clinch the TITLE in India In June 2023, he earned a bumper switch to Indian Super League outfit Mohun Bagan where he became one of the highest-paid players in the country. He's gone on to win two titles in India. Away from the football pitch, Cummings spends much of his free time travelling the globe. The striker and Hannah have been all over the world, visiting all kinds of destinations in Europe, Asia and America. With the new Indian Super League season not kicking-off until next month, the couple have been able to enjoy some time back home in Scotland. And this weekend, glam Hannah has been marking her engagement. She shared a series of snaps to her 14,000 Instagram followers from her party with her pals to mark the big moment. Hannah, with sunglasses bearing the words 'bride to be,' declared it was "time to celebrate." The champagne was flowing while the guests at the party were able to tuck into love heart cupcakes with the word 'engaged' on them. 7 Cummings popped the question in Santorini Credit: INSTAGRAM/@HANNAHDOIGX 7 Hannah supported Cummings when he played in Australia Credit: Getty 7 Glam Hannah has almost 14,000 Instagram followers Credit: INSTAGRAM/@HANNAHDOIGX Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page

Dons captain Shinnie searching for consistency
Graeme Shinnie is urging Aberdeen to be more consistent this season as they prepare to open their Premiership campaign away to Hearts on Monday night. After an impressive start to the 2024/25 campaign, in which they won nine of their first 10 league games, Jimmy Thelin's side had a difficult spell. The north east club would go on to win the Scottish Cup, defeating Celtic at Hampden, but captain Shinnie is looking for more than silverware this season. "The big thing for us this season, away from trophies and silverware, is consistency," the midfielder told RedTV, external. "Last season we lacked consistency, we were at opposite ends of the scale - we were either very, very good or very, very bad. "We started off like a house on fire then we went on a horrendous run of not winning in about 14 games. We managed to get back on track, had some great had after that and we put ourselves in a position to fight then lost the last four games."It was so up and down, then we go on to win the cup. The inconsistency was so bad for us last season. "We want to change that, we want to be more consistent and if we can do that it will be a good season."

McInnes can't wait to get league campaign started
Hearts head coach Derek McInnes is looking forward to starting the Premiership season with a "tough" game against Aberdeen on Monday night. The new boss is targeting all three points from his first league game but knows it won't be an easy test against a Dons side "buoyed" by their Scottish Cup success. "We've been given a nice home game," the manager said. "There are lots of ingredients in it, but obviously it's a tough game. Aberdeen are a tough opponent and they're a good side. They'll be buoyant after their Scottish Cup success last season as well."They've got a lot of good players. It's not without its challenges, but we've got to make sure it's every bit as tough for them coming to Tynecastle."I think we're all looking forward to it."But the manager knows all their hard pre-season work will be forgotten if they don't get the job done on Monday night. "We've been pretty busy in the sense of trying to get the players ready for this moment," he added. "We had to get that process accelerated to get players ready for the League Cup. The benefit of that is you play competitive football."We finished the pre-season work off with a good performance last weekend against Sunderland."But all that gets quickly forgotten about unless you go and get that first win as quickly as possible. We're all under the same pressures as managers."With all the optimism, it doesn't matter how many signings you've made, you just want to try and get that first three points as quickly as possible."
