EastEnders fans fume over Suki Panesar's 'outrageous' comments to pregnant teen Avani
It was another eventful day on Albert Square as Kat Slater took over as landlady Queen Vic. The Square held a huge celebration to welcome her back - but one person who wasn't in a celebratory mood was Suki Panesar.
Earlier this week, we saw Suki learn that her teenage granddaughter Avani had fallen pregnant after walking in on her researching abortions on her laptop. Although Avani was adamant she didn't want to keep the baby, Suki sat her down and asked her to consider other options, such as adoption.
In tonight's episode, Suki went to seek advice from a Granthi - who told her the only thing she could do was support her grandchild. However, when Suki got home, she had an outrageous suggestion for Avani - which left fans fuming.
"Avani, I can't support your decision," Suki said, but a frustrated Avani told Suki she couldn't change her mind. "I will help you every step of the way Avani," she said as she followed her into the living room.
"I can't OK?! I just cant. I'm not ready to raise a child," Avani responded. "I'm not ready to be a mum! OK?"
A desperate Suki then responded: "Well maybe you don't have to be. You have the baby.. but you don't have to raise it." Avani was then left puzzled, adamant she wouldn't be letting "some stranger" raise her kid.
Suki then clarified: "No, not a stranger. Me. I'll do it. I'll raise your child. As my own." Suki was left in tears - but fans on the other hand were left fuming as they took to Reddit to discuss.
"Suki not clearly thinking at all today. Not once did she think about Avani and what she's asking of her. Not once did she contemplate talking to her wife. Does Eve even want kids? I love Suki as a character but he judgement calls can be absolutely crazy sometimes."
"Are they trying to make us hate Suki again? # Eastenders," questioned another fan on X, formerly known as Twitter. "60 year old suki begging her newly 16 year old granddaughter to not have an abortion just so she can raise the baby… yeah i hate this #eastenders," another agreed.
"Suki annoyed me so much today, how are you basically forcing a SIXTEEN YEAR OLD to keep her baby, just for your own benefit??? Avani deserves so much better #EastEnders," said a third, "she's quite literally pressuring this poor young girl how disgusting #eastenders," another angry fan said.

Pop icon Taylor Swift could be ready to release new music but is said to have kept it so under wraps that even crew weren't able to listen to it while filming the video Taylor Swift is set to release new music for her adoring fans, but it's so under wraps the star is said to have filmed a music video in secret. The private filming was reportedly so secretive that even the crew weren't able to hear the full track. The music will mark the 35-year-old star's first new music since dropping The Tortured Poets Department over a year ago. And now it's said the project was completed on the West Coast. A source claimed: "Taylor was in Los Angeles on Thursday filming a new music video." They added the secrecy of the whole thing was evident. Speaking to the Sun, they added: "It was so top secret that those working on set were not even allowed to hear the song, only the beat. "Even though she's been taking time off from touring and working a lot to spend time with Travis, there are still projects she's working on, which will no doubt please fans." And the speculation went down well with fans online going wild. New EastEnders star is a nepo baby as famous family members who have also starred in BBC soap are revealed
Max Murray has landed a role in EastEnders alongside legendary stars but it has now been revealed he comes from a long-line of actors and singers in his family. The youngster has been portraying character Joel Marshall since February this year but it turns out he is actually following in his famous mum's footsteps. Max is the son of actress Gina Murray, who has starred in a number of well known programmes including The Bill, Doctors and The Hunt for Raoul Moat and appeared in the BBC soap back in 2014 playing Helen. Gina's character Helen arrived in Albert Square as a hair specialist to help Carol Jackson, who was struggling with losing her hair as she fought off cancer. It was Helen's role to help Carol find a wig. Max is also the nephew of Mazz Murray, who is a successful TV and theatre actress, starring in Sunset Boulevard, Mamma Mia and Chicago to name but a few. In 2004, Mazz also starred on EastEnders as a waitress called Miranda who had a brawl with Heather Trott and Shirley Carter. 'I'm really looking forward to introducing Joel to EastEnders viewers and telling his story.' It comes as EastEnders favourite Nicholas Bailey will make a shock return as Dr. Anthony Trueman to the soap, more than a decade since he was last seen in Walford. The character – son of Patrick Trueman (played by Rudolph Walker) – will be back on screens in scenes to air in the summer. Anthony first arrived on the Square in 2000 and quickly made waves, thanks in part to a steamy romance with Kat Slater (played by Jessie Wallace). Now, 11 years on from his last stint, the GP is set for a dramatic reunion with his dad this summer as Patrick and Yolande prepare to tie the knot. Anthony last appeared in EastEnders in 2014 when he rushed to his father's side when Patrick suffered a stroke. Since then, he has led a life away from Walford but in upcoming scenes viewers will see he is invited to his father's impending nuptials and decides to return for the occasion. In a post on the official Eastenders Instagram account, the long running soap teased the visit to Walford comes at a significant moment for Patrick, which means Anthony stays longer than he originally intended. In a statement, executive producer Ben Wadey said: 'It's great to welcome Nicholas back to the EastEnders family to reunite Patrick with his son. 'But Anthony's plan for a brief return to surprise his father ends up with him staying longer than he expected when he uncovers what has been going on in the Trueman household.' Nicholas who will reprise the iconic role added: 'It is an unexpected treat to return to EastEnders and I'm full of gratitude to get the opportunity to revisit the character of Anthony. 'It's wonderful to work with Rudolph Walker again - he's such a big part of my journey as an actor and I loved filming my first scenes with him after so long.
