JAY-Z Performs On Cowboy Carter Tour Days After Nicki Minaj Call Out, Paternity Lawsuit Drama
After first making an appearance at one of Beyoncé's Paris shows, Hov made his second Cowboy Carter Tour appearance in Atlanta on Sunday (July 13), where he joined his wife for their smash duet 'Crazy In Love,' before performing 'Public Service Announcement' from his 2003 studio album The Black Album. See footage below.
The appearance came days after Nicki Minaj called out the mogul for allegedly cheating her out of $200M based on a contract she signed for TIDAL, a music streaming service he has since sold to Jack Dorsey's Square. Minaj argues that, while she and 15 other artists were gifted a three percent stake in the service at its 2015 launch, she was only offered $1,000,000 for her share after the company was sold for $302,000,000 in 2021.
'We've calculated about 100-200MM so far. #JayZ call me to settle this karmic debt. It's only collecting more interest,' she wrote on X.
Minaj also called attention to Rymir Satterthwaite, the 31-year-old man who claims JAY-Z, 55, is his father, and has been demanding a paternity test for years. In response to his lawsuit, Hov's legal rep released a statement last week, calling Satterthwaite's claims 'fabricated.'
'The fabricated allegations and claims have been addressed – and rejected — in multiple other courts and [Satterthwaite's] continued harassment of [Jay-Z] and disregard of those orders has already resulted in a contempt order.'More from VIBE.com

Beyoncé reunites Destiny's Child at final Cowboy Carter show
Destiny's Child have reunited for the first time in seven years for the grand finale of Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter tour in Las Vegas. The trio surprised fans with a medley of some of their best-loved songs, including Lose My Breath and Bootylicious. Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams also joined Beyoncé for a rendition of her 2022 hit, Energy. The chart-topping group went their separate ways in 2006, but have previously reunited during Beyoncé's half-time performance at the Super Bowl in 2013 and at her Coachella headline slot in 2018. After the show on Saturday, Beyoncé shared a photo of the trio, dressed in gold jumpsuits, on her Instagram without a caption. Fans were treated to several guest performances throughout the Vegas show, with Beyoncé bringing out her husband Jay-Z and country singer Shaboozey for brief cameos. Blue Ivy, Beyoncé's daughter, also made an appearance. The 13-year-old has been a fixture of her mother's shows throughout the tour. The performance in Las Vegas was the 32nd and final of her Cowboy Carter tour, which also saw her perform in her hometown of Houston, Texas in June. The three-hour rodeo extravaganza has been praised for its high energy and artistry. It takes its name from Beyoncé's 2024 album Cowboy Carter, which was met with critical acclaim, including taking the top album prize at this year's Grammy Awards. The show has broken ticket records at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London and Stade De France in Paris. More in Culture How much is too much to pay for Beyoncé? Beyoncé surprises fans with Destiny's Child reunion to cap off Cowboy Carter tour
Beyoncé brought the curtain down on her 'Cowboy Carter' tour with a surprise Destiny's Child reunion at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday. The stunned crowd roared when Beyoncé emerged on stage with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams announcing, 'Destiny's Child b—!' before the trio delivered a medley of their hits including the 2001 anthem 'Bootylicious' and 2004 hit 'Lose My Breath.' They also performed a version of Beyoncé's 2022 'Energy,' along with the song's viral 'mute challenge.' It was the first time the Grammy-winning singer had performed onstage with her former bandmates Rowland and Williams since 2018, when she played Coachella. The reunion left fans ecstatic, describing the moment as 'iconic' and 'legendary.' 'Y'all will never understand how iconic this is considering they're one of the most successful girl groups of all time,' wrote one on X. It also prompted some to speculate whether a more sustained Destiny's Child recoupling might be in the future. 'If this is a sign that destiny's child will go on tour they can 3x the rent, just make it happen,' wondered another fan on X. The reunion was an electric moment in a show full of charged moments. Shaboozey, Beyoncé's 'Cowboy Carter' collaborator, also joined her to perform their hit 'Sweet Honey Buckiin'.' Jay-Z, who made a number of appearances with his wife during her nine-city, all-stadium tour, was in Las Vegas too, where they belted out their 2003 hit 'Crazy in Love,' ending the song with a kiss. The star wattage was high off-stage as well. 'Grand opening, grand closing! Here in Las Vegas with the cowboy crew to watch Beyoncé close out her historic Cowboy Carter tour!!' shared Gayle King on Instagram with photos alongside Oprah Winfrey, Tyler Perry, Kris Jenner and Khloe Kardashian. Also spotted in the crowd were actress Kerry Washington, Maya Rudolph and director Paul Thomas Anderson.

Destiny's Child reunion a reality at Beyoncé's final 'Cowboy Carter' show
Beyoncé has been touring for what feels like the entirety of the 2020s, and she's still finding ways to surprise fans. At her final stop on her tour for 'Cowboy Carter,' the pop star brought out her longtime bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams to perform a medley of Destiny's Child's biggest hits. The trio performed the 2001 track 'Bootylicious' and the 2005 smash 'Lose My Breath' to the cheers of Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium. Rowland and Williams joined Beyoncé on some solo material as well, lending a hand for a performance of 'Renaissance' cut 'Energy.' The surprise reunion is the first time the girl group has shared a stage since 2018. Beyoncé marked the moment with a post to Instagram, which showed Bey beaming with her fellow hitmakers. Perhaps miffed that LaToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson are never invited to these get-togethers, the president leveled a shot at Beyoncé around the same time that she was wrapping up her stadium tour. Donald Trump called for the pop star to be prosecuted, alongside former Vice President Kamala Harris and mogul Oprah Winfrey, for allegedly taking undisclosed payments to endorse the Democratic presidential candidate in 2024. 'I'm looking at the large amount of money owed by the Democrats, after the Presidential Election, and the fact that they admit to paying, probably illegally, Eleven Million Dollars to singer Beyoncé for an ENDORSEMENT (she never sang, not one note, and left the stage to a booing and angry audience!),' he wrote. 'These ridiculous fees were incorrectly stated in the books and records.' The post Destiny's Child reunion a reality at Beyoncé's final 'Cowboy Carter' show appeared first on Solve the daily Crossword
