Lotfy Labib Hospitalized in ICU

Yara Sameh
Veteran Egyptian actor Lotfy Labib was hospitalized in the intensive care (ICU) on Sunday after suffering a health scare. He underwent the medical tests to determine the cause of his illness.
Father Boutros Daniel, director of the Catholic Centre for Cinema in Egypt, has shared an update on the actor's health, explaining that he suffered a sudden health issue in the past hours that required his transfer to the hospital, where he is in the ICU and banned from receiving visitors.
He added that Labib is attached to his fans, loves them, and appreciates them, and asked the actor's fans to pray for him.
"The best thing they can do now is pray for his speedy recovery," Labib noted.
Labib's manager explained that the acclaimed actor had previously suffered a stroke that affected his movement, leading to his temporary absence from the acting scene.
He added that Labib is undergoing regular physical therapy sessions and continuing his daily life normally despite the limited number of projects offered to him, due to his current health condition.
On March 29, the veteran actor announced his retirement from acting due to his health condition. "In my current health condition, if I get a role, I won't be able to play it because I prefer that my image remains as it was to the fans," he said.
Born on August 18, 1947, Labib is an Egyptian stage, television, and film actor. The acclaimed actor has worked profusely, in many supporting but memorable roles, with over 200 film and television credits.
Through many of his screen appearances, Labib has performed admirably and has shown himself to be one of the strongest performers of his generation.

Vidyut Jammwal Lands Role of Dhalsim in Legendary's "Street Fighter" Movie

Yara Sameh Indian action star Vidyut Jammwal (Commando) has landed the role of Dhalsim in Legendary's live-action "Street Fighter" movie, based on the video games from Capcom. The project marks the Hollywood debut of an actor who has been deliberate about the project with which he wants to introduce himself in the U.S. market. First introduced in "Street Fighter II" in 1991, Dalsim is a yogi with fire-spitting abilities — a fundamentally peaceful man who fights to support his family. The Street Fighter cast also includes Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Cody Rhodes as Guile, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson as Balrog, Orville Peck as Vega, Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki, Roman Reigns as Akuma, and Hirooki Goto as E. Honda. Plot details for the film, from director Kitao Sakurai, remain under wraps. Launched in 1987, "Street Fighter" is a series of fighting games revolving around intense one-on-one battles between a diverse cast of martial artists, organized by the villainous M. Bison as a global fighting tournament. It have sold over 55 million units worldwide since launch, making the franchise one of the most well-known and highest-grossing of all time. Known for roles in a dozen blockbusters in India, including the Commando and Khuda Haafiz franchises, Jammwal boasts 22M followers across social media and is well known in India, even as he's still looking to build his profile in the United States. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean

Is This The Summer Capsule Your Wardrobe Has Been Waiting For?

It's summer clothing for people who have main character energy - but are too self-aware to say that out loud. Egyptian lifestyle content creator Farah Hosny has teamed up with stylish apparel brand Weaving Grace to release a summer capsule collection that's part sun-drenched escapism, part structured closet therapy, and entirely committed to the bit. The bit, in this case, being 'what if everything in your suitcase actually worked together?' The collection is small but mighty - eight pieces, multiple colourways, and about seventeen different personalities depending on how you style them. The aesthetic runs the gamut from classic to cutesy to cool girl. There's a chic bubblegum-pink set with chunky statement buttons; a lace boho corset-and-skirt combo that flirts with peasant-core; a timeless halter dress that's giving old Hollywood; and a polka dot sundress that is very much of the time without being too stuck in the current trend cycles. You can mix and match most of the pieces, dress them up, dress them down, throw them on after a swim, or arrive at a fancy dinner in Mykonos pretending you didn't just nap in one. But underneath the linen-draped summer glow, there's a deliberate versatility and range across the collection. 'I think there's probably something for everyone in there. Some pieces capture some cute summer trends, and other pieces are a lot more timeless, like you could probably wear them 20 years from now and your grandmother could have worn them 50 years ago and in both eras they'd still be incredibly stylish,' Farah says. Shot in Athens, the visuals are as travel-friendly as the garments themselves. The kind of pieces you throw into a suitcase without thinking too hard - because they'll go with each other, and also with whatever you forgot to pack. The collaboration is rooted in a long-standing relationship. Farah's worked with Weaving Grace on numerous campaigns over the years, and always found their pieces to hit that elusive sweet spot between wearable and worth-it. 'They always have such nice stuff,' she explains. 'When they approached me for a collaboration, I just felt like our aesthetics would work well together.' Much like the collection itself. It's summer clothing for people who have main character energy - but are too self-aware to say that out loud.
