Hollyoaks confirms major Joel and Leela twist - and it spells trouble

Metro06-05-2025
Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Tuesday's (May 6) episode that is now available to view on Channel 4 streaming. The episode in question will air on E4 on at 7pm.
Leela Dexter (Kirsty-Leigh Porter) was left in shock when Joel (Rory Douglas-Speed) confessed to having slept with ex Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin).
Joel, as viewers know, spent the night with former flame a number of weeks ago following an argument with wife Leela, who urged him to put some distance between he and Tommy Odenkirk (Brandon Fellows).
Leela suspected that Tommy couldn't be trusted and she was right, with the newcomer blackmailing Joel, who was inadvertently responsible for the death of the so-called therapist's brother.
Tommy, as fans are aware, is obsessed with Joel and, determined to build a 'brotherly' relationship with him, he decided to use the leverage he has over killer Jez Blake (Jeremy Sheffield), urging the killer to claim Leela's life so that he could have Joel to himself.
With Tommy in possession of recordings detailing his deepest secrets, the murdering gardener felt compelled to do as he was told, putting poison in the cup Leela was drinking from.
Joel subsequently returned home to find Leela out cold on the floor of their home and he wasted little time in rushing her to hospital.
A detective was notified that the poison was the very same found in Sienna Blake's (Anna Passey) system and, with Cleo under suspicion of that crime after Jez and Martha (Sherrie Hewson) set her up, questions were soon asked.
To everyone's shock, Leela revealed that Cleo had served her the drink at Casa McQueen. More Trending
Leela, however, failed to see why Cleo would want to poison her, which prompted Joel to confess to his one night stand with his ex!
Will this spell the end for Joel and Leela? What's more, will Cleo be questioned over yet another crime she didn't commit?

Bonnie Blue documentary is sad, uncomfortable and prurient viewing

New film, which followed the contentious OnlyFans star for six months, fails to get to the bottom of what motivates her extreme sex stunts. But it does introduce us to her family, who are all on her payroll 'Everyone has sex; just some of us film it,' is the phrase Bonnie Blue chooses to introduce her Channel 4 documentary. It's a suitably glib start to the hour-long film, 1,000 Men and Me: The Bonnie Blue Story, which charts the controversial OnlyFans star's rise to global infamy. Aged 26, Blue, whose real name is Tia Billinger, is best known for staging extreme sex stunts; in January, she claimed to have slept with 1,057 men in 12 hours, filming it all for her OnlyFans account, which has since been disabled after the platform banned her. It's hard to know where to begin with Blue, who earns upwards of £1.5m per month from her videos, which she now shares on Fansly, another subscription-based social platform. Perhaps with the sheer impossibility of her so-called 1,000-men challenge, which would amount to 41 seconds per man, without accounting for the time it takes to change between them. Then there's the footage itself, much of which features in the film, showing a fully-naked Blue surrounded by penises penetrating her mouth and vagina. Or there's her litany of rage-bait TikTok videos, in which she urges 'barely legal or barely breathing' men to have sex with her, often at the expense of their wives and girlfriends, who Blue happily lambasts as sexually inferior.
