Improvised explosive device used to gain entry to ATM at San Ramon Target, police say
Shortly after 2:15 a.m., officers responded to the Target on Bishop Drive, where they discovered an improvised explosive device had been used to gain access to an ATM. The explosion damaged the store's interior near the eastern entrance.
No one was injured in the explosion, but now authorities are searching for information to help in the investigation.
The FBI responded to the scene to investigate.

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - A Florida man has been arrested after he allegedly beat up another man on a golf course after the man was playing too slow. What happened? What we know According to an arrest warrant, Jason Hughes attacked a golfer on a course in Kissimmee in June. Hughes told Osceola County Sheriff's Office (OCSO) deputies that he was upset with the pace of the man's play. The man reported he and Hughes exchanged words on the course. According to the warrant, the man was playing with a friend in front of Hughes. Hughes said he told the man more than once to hurry up. The warrant stated the boiling point for Hughes was the man talking to his friend while ahead on the green. The report said both men were separated by their playing partners. Hughes and his playing partner got in their golf cart and took it to their car in the lot. They then drove off before deputies arrived. Deputies said they found the man to be bleeding and bruised when they arrived. The man declined an ambulance to the hospital, but was driven by a friend instead. Officials tracked Hughes down with the help of the golf course. The club provided deputies with surveillance video of Hughes and gave them his name based on the credit card used to make the reservation. Hughes was booked into the Osceola County Jail on Thursday. He is being charged with aggravated battery causing bodily harm. Hughes made his first appearance on Friday, and a judge set his bond at $2,500. One condition of his bond is that he cannot play golf on any course open to the public. "There's no reason to be fighting out here," a third man said. "You could easily call the shop, and they'll come speak to the person, but it should never turn to violence." What's next Hughes' next court date was not immediately clear. The Source FOX 35 News reviewed the arrest warrant for Jason Hughes and looked at the case on the clerk of court's website. A FOX 35 News crew also went to the golf course where the incident happened and spoke with management. They declined to comment, but confirmed information in the arrest warrant. FOX 35 also spoke with golfers on the course for their thoughts on the case and pace of play disputes.

Gregg Wallace defends John Torode
Gregg Wallace has defended his former MasterChef co-star John Torode after they were both sacked by the BBC. A report into the TV show upheld an allegation of an "extremely offensive racist term being used in the workplace", with John, 60, later identifying himself as the individual alleged to have used racist language in 2018 or 2019. On July 15, the corporation announced that John's contract would not be renewed although Torode has denied using a racist word and said he has "no recollection" of using racist language. Gregg, 60, told The Sun newspaper: "I'll tell you one thing right now: John Torode is not a racist. "I've known John for 30 years and he is not a racist. 'And as evidence of that, I'll show you the incredible diversity of the people that he has championed, MasterChef winners, over the years. "There is no way that man is a racist. No way. And my sympathies go out to John because I don't want anybody to go through what I've been through.' Gregg was also sacked by the BBC after the investigation into his alleged inappropriate behaviour was released, with 45 out of 83 allegations substantiated, including claims of inappropriate sexual language, humour, and one reported incident of "unwelcome physical contact". And, while Gregg has admitted he made mistakes, he denied the allegations against him. He said: 'I'm not saying I'm not guilty of stuff, but so much has been perceived incorrectly. Things that really hurt me and hurt my family.'

Police take action against anti-social behaviour
Police in east Kent have imposed another weekend public dispersal order to prevent anti-social behaviour. The order gives officers the power to move on anyone over the age of 10 if they are causing a nuisance, and arrest them if they refuse. It covers Whitstable and Herne Bay and is in effect from 25 to 27 July. It is the latest in a series of operations by the force which, it said, has seen 30 people moved on in a previous weekend. It said 29 of those were people between the ages of 11 and 18, who were moved on during the evening of 18 July. A 14-year-old boy was moved on after reports of damage to a shelter in Marine Parade, Whitstable. The latest order covers the coast between Seasalter Beach and Saxon Shore Way. Ch Insp Paul Stoner said: "We are determined that nobody should be subjected to the actions of others which makes them feel harassed, alarmed or distressed. "Officers have been challenging those who carry out nuisance behaviour and anyone who is under 18 can also expect their parents to be contacted about their actions."
