Oti Mabuse's 'halter dress' has hidden detail that stops chafing in the heatwave
Oti Mabuse wowed in a camel halter dress ahead of her London performance, but the outfit is actually hiding built in shorts that are perfect for preventing chafing in the heat
There's no better outfit than a dress in the summer; it gives you an instant outfit, keeps you cool and comfortable, and always looks effortlessly chic without needing to put in too much effort. However there's always the risk of getting inner thigh chafing, especially when the temperatures are high.
Which is why when we noticed Oti Mabuse's latest outfit had a hidden detail that prevented this, we couldn't wait to snap it up. The dancer shared a snap of her chic camel mini dress ahead of her most recent London performance, but a quick look at her outfit revealed that it's actually a playsuit, with a carefully hidden pair of shorts underneath.
Oti was wearing the Pia Lyocell Cotton Halter Skort Playsuit from Reiss, which you can pick up for £158. It comes in a chic camel colour which is easy and effortless to style, with a wrap over design and flattering ruching details around the waist to accentuate your figure.
From the front, it looks like a standard mini dress, with a wrap over skirt and halter neckline. However from the back you can tell it's a playsuit, with the shorts visible and giving the perfect protection against chafing or feeling too exposed.
If you prefer an all-round dress look with a more hidden pair of shorts underneath, we've found some other fantastic options. Abercrombie & Fitch has hidden a pair of shorts into almost all of its dresses and skirts, including this summer-ready Linen-Blend Button Skort.
It's currently on sale down to £44.99 from £52, comes in an on-trend gingham print, and has a stretchy bust and adjustable straps, with a hidden pair of shorts underneath, making it perfect for the heat. There's also a choice of other colours and prints available.
You can snap up similar styles at Hollister, with this Chiffon Skort Dress now £23.99 down from £39.95. We also love the The Kylie Skort Dress from Peachy Den, which is slightly pricier at £145.
Oti's Pia Lyocell Cotton Halter Skort Playsuit however is perfect for those looking for a more sophisticated look, with the camel colour and wrap design making it perfect for wearing to smarter occasions as well as more casually. It's made from a lightweight cotton blend that's breathable and comfortable, and fastens with a hidden zip at the back and buttons on the halterneck for an elegant finish.

Amanda Holden raves about ‘so comfortable' Reiss dress that feels ‘high quality'
Amanda Holden's wows in yet another summer dress, and we've found exactly where to shop the stylish midi the presenter hails as 'so comfortable' With warm weather officially here, there's nothing worse than wearing an outfit that feels uncomfortable, clingy and tight. However, Amanda Holden seems to have found just the summer dress that will keep you cool and comfy, while also looking effortlessly stylish. The presenter has really been pulling some amazing looks out the bag recently. We're talking her Wimbledon whites midi dress from Karen Millen that clings to all the right places, plus her latest floral number from Nadine Merabi, which is perfect for summer weddings. And her latest look is no exception. Posting to her Instagram, Amanda Holden was wearing a gorgeous pale pink maxi dress, featuring white scallop detailining. The exact dress is the Asher Wave-Trim Crepe Midi Dress in Pink from Reiss. Priced at £198, this midi is on the pricier side but Amanda was raving about how "high quality" it feels thanks to it being fully lined. Not to mention that the airy fit makes the dress "so comfortable", especially in warmer weather. The Asher midi dress is made from a mid-lightweight crepe material, and features a flattering square neckline with stylish wave shoulder straps. The flowy crepe helps to create an elegant draping effect, while the single side slit adds that little extra movement and shape. Whether you've got summer drinks with the girls, a sunny garden party or want to dress up for an office day, this versatile midi really works for all occasions. Simply style it with a pair of strappy metallic heels like Amanda, or even a pair of raffia wedges and some oversized sunnies, and you're good to go. This Reiss dress is clearly proving to be a popular pick among many UK celebs, as Alex Jones rocked the same dress on The One Show last week. Alex opted for the navy colourway, and kept the look simple with a pair of white strappy heels, and minimal jewellery. If pink or navy aren't your style, the dress is also available in a third colour, which is an on-trend burgundy shade, that would be perfect for holidays.

BBC Strictly star Oti Mabuse shares mum's blunt three-word response to her wedding
BBC Strictly star Oti Mabuse shares mum's blunt three-word response to her wedding Oti Mabuse has opened up about her marriage to husband Marius Lepure - and how her mother was left fuming Former Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse has revealed details about her wedding to husband Marius Lepure, confessing that her mum was not initially pleased with their nuptials. During a discussion on Loose Women about the merits of long engagements, Oti shared insights into her own wedding. The ex-Strictly professional, who later became a judge on ITV's Dancing On Ice, tied the knot with fellow dancer Marius in an intimate ceremony in Denmark. The pair then headed straight to a dance competition post-wedding. However, Oti, now a mother to a one-year-old daughter, confessed that her mum was less than thrilled with their low-key celebration. This led to a second, much larger wedding with 500 guests - of whom the couple only knew four. Oti shared her wedding details on ITV's Loose Women (Image: ITV ) Upon hearing of her daughter's marriage, Oti's mum declared "it doesn't count! We weren't there, it was just the two of you. I didn't have my hat, my dress", and promptly set about organising another wedding, reports Edinburgh Live. Article continues below Oti, who participated in last year's I'm a Celebrity, added: "She planned all our wedding, she had a theme, she was like 'I need a purple wedding' so our wedding was white and purple. "She planned everything. The only thing my husband and I had to do was rock up with our own dresses. "The wedding had 500 people, we only knew four of them. It was my sisters and his brothers, that's all the people we knew - and the rest, it was my mother's wedding." The revelation arrives amid growing anticipation for the 2025 instalment of Strictly Come Dancing, with ongoing speculation about the potential line-up of contestants. Yet, as far as official announcements go, there will be a sense of continuity with confirmation that the judging panel and hosts remain unchanged for the upcoming series. Oti, Marius and their baby daughter (Image: Oti Mabuse Instagram ) The official BBC Strictly Come Dancing account has announced the panel for the new series, consisting of Anton Du Beke, Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, and Oti Mabuse's sister, Motsi Mabuse. Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, both recently recognised in the King's birthday honours, will continue their roles as presenters of the show. In a statement, the BBC shared its excitement: "We've been limbering-up and practicing our curtseys, ready for the new series of Strictly with our amazing judging panel, Shirley, Anton, Motsi and Craig and our incredible MBE's Tess and Claudia - Congratulations on your FAB-U-LOUS achievement!".
