Hearts injury news pre-Aberdeen: Four players out + five doubts for Scottish Premiership curtain-raiser
The Jambos have been in stellar form under new manager Derek McInnes so far this summer, racking up four straight wins over lower league opposition in the Premier Sports Cup by scoring four goals in each game.
The Dons will make the journey down to the capital from the North East having played fewer games than their opponents over the course of pre-season; just two in total.
Last season's Scottish Cup winners lost 3-1 at home to EFL Championship side Ipswich Town last weekend, while Hearts thrashed newly-promoted Premier League outfit Sunderland 3-0 in Craig Gordon's testimonial match.

West Ham fans fume as club confirm signing of their former bogeyman who mocked their Conference League triumph
West Ham announced a new singing on Saturday and it hasn't gone down well with some sections of their fanbase. The club announced that striker Callum Wilson has agreed a one-year deal after his contract at Newcastle expired. Steven Pressley insists Dundee relegation tipsters are already fuelling the fire as he puts a number on more signings
Pressley is suffering a tough start to life at Dens which won't have improved after home defeat to Hibs in opening league fixture Steven Pressley has admitted being tipped for relegation is a major motivator within his Dundee dressing room. The new head coach lost 2-1 to Hibs in his first league game in Scotland since 2013. Pressley has insisted Dundee face a rebuild but his players are motivated by the critics and pundits who have tipped them for the drop. 'I think it's natural,' the Dundee manager insisted. "I think when you look at the changes that's happened at the club, when you look at where we are in the recruitment and the process, I think it's natural for people to tip us. 'We're not going to shout about it. The only way we can prove it is by getting results and improved performances and we'll certainly be working hard towards that.' When asked if he would use it for motivation. Pressley answered: 'I already have.' Dundee came into this on the back of failing to get out of their Premier Sports Cup group. Their boss felt his team were decent defensively but weren't good enough going forward and he put that down to nerves. Pressley acknowledged: 'Well, there were elements around it that I was pleased with. 'I thought we had a good shape around us, but I felt in possession we were nervous and we turned the ball over on too many occasions. 'As a result of that, we actually defended a lot more than I'd have liked us to do. 'For the group of players, I did see some green shoots. 'I saw some good performances today with certain players, but we are still a long way away from where we need to be. 'We also have to consider that we're playing against a Hibernian side who are quite long into their journey. 'So, I'm realistic. It's not what I want. It's far from the final product, but there were certain things that I liked about us, especially after going 2-0 down and we were a little bit nervous in the performance but we showed good resilience.' Pressley praised Luke Graham but is adamant he still needs to bring in six more signings. He claimed: 'Listen, pre-game I spoke about this, that almost every single goal from the team of last season was not there today. 'It's a big rebuild. I'm not trying to pull the wool over anybody's eyes. This is where we are. 'There's a lot of hard work ahead. But within that, I saw players that wanted to work hard, that wanted to do well. 'But I also know that we need reinforcements. We probably need another six players in to bolster the squad and it's a real challenge.' Simon Murray missed this game with a knee injury and his boss is keeping his fingers crossed that he will be fit for the trip to Ibrox next weekend. Pressley confirmed: 'I don't know. The truth is that we obviously would hope Rangers, but if that's too quick, the one positive thing is that we have the cup break that gives us an opportunity. 'Hopefully, if it's not the weekend. It'll certainly be after the cup break.'

Kieran Bowie at the double as Hibernian add to Steven Pressley woes
The Scotland forward notched twice in the space of three minutes to give the Easter Road side the initiative. Dundee, bidding to ignite some positivity following a demoralising Premier Sports Cup group-stage exit that included defeats by lower-league sides Airdrie and Alloa, hit back swiftly through Finlay Robertson. But Hibs – who arrived on Tayside on the back of a gruelling 120-minute encounter with Midtjylland in the Europa League on Thursday – were able to see out the second half in relatively comfortable fashion. Pressley, whose appointment in June was widely deemed underwhelming among supporters even before their cup calamity, included four summer signings in his starting XI but talismanic captain Simon Murray missed out through injury. Hibs boss David Gray opted to make just one change to the side that started the agonising extra-time defeat by Midtjylland despite having another testing European fixture to come away to Partizan Belgrade in the Conference League this Thursday. The Easter Road side had the majority of the ball in the early exchanges and made the breakthrough from their first clear opportunity in the 28th minute. It came with an element of fortune as Dundee got themselves in a mess trying to deal with a Jordan Obita cross into the box and the ball broke kindly to Bowie, who drilled a low angled finish past Jon McCracken from 10 yards out. Three minutes later, Bowie struck again. Jack Iredale's ball over the top released Obita who drove into the box and saw his effort blocked by McCracken, only for Bowie to follow up and drive home the rebound from a similar position to his first goal. Dundee were gifted a way back into the game in the 36th minute when a slip from Iredale allowed Ashley Hay to dispossess him and cut the ball back for Robertson, who fired home from just outside the six-yard box. Dee defender Luke Graham just failed to connect with a tantalising inswinging delivery from the left in the 59th minute. It was Hibs, however, who looked the likelier side to add to their lead in the closing half-hour, with substitute Josh Campbell seeing a header brilliantly saved by McCracken before the midfielder threatened with another couple of attempts after being picked out by corners from fellow substitute Jamie McGrath.
