Jackman, 56, was photographed riding an e-bike in N.Y.C. on Thursday, May 29. The Deadpool & Wolverine actor wore a helmet, sunglasses, a rain jacket and jeans to go with pale green sneakers for the outing. It marked the first time he's been spotted in public since Furness, 69, referenced a "traumatic journey of betrayal" in a statement provided to PEOPLE and first shared with The Daily Mail on Tuesday, May 27, the same day she filed for divorce.
Jackman and Furness, who share daughter Ava, 19, and son Oscar, 25, married in 1996 and jointly announced their separation in 2023. The former couple's divorce filings indicate the terms are uncontested and will only need a sign-off from a judge.
"It's a profound wound that cuts deep, however I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us," Furness said in her statement, regarding her divorce filing. "This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage. I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience. Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose."
Jackman's longtime friend, Australian television personality and radio host Gus Worland, shared that "the last couple of years have been difficult" for Jackman and Furness during a Thursday, May 29 episode of Australia's Ben Fordham Live breakfast radio show. "I was over in New York with [Jackman] just last month and he's fine," Worland said during the broadcast. "He is going along well. He's moving on with his life and I hope that Deb does as well.'

In January 2025, Jackman stepped out with Sutton Foster and the two were photographed holding hands on a date. He and Foster, 50, shared the stage in Broadway's The Music Man in 2022.
Furness most recently stepped out in N.Y.C. on Tuesday, May 20, at Parsons School of Design's 2025 Parsons Benefit, just days after Jackman and Foster, 50, were seen holding hands as they went for a stroll together in the city on May 17.

Gwyneth Paltrow thought Brad Pitt wasn't 'sophisticated enough' for her Hollywood tastes: book

Gwyneth Paltrow believed she was "smarter, better educated, more sophisticated" than Brad Pitt, according to a new biography. In an excerpt of "Gwyneth: The Biography," which was obtained by People, author Amy Odell detailed the early stages of the former couple's relationship and wrote about Paltrow's alleged concerns about Pitt. The pair met in 1993 during an audition for "Legends of the Fall." Paltrow didn't land the role, but later Pitt suggested her for the role opposite of him in the movie "Se7en." At the time, Paltrow was also offered a role in "Feeling Minnesota," which starred Keanu Reeves. "She consulted with a friend, who said, 'Well, who do you want to date, Brad Pitt or Keanu Reeves?' Gwyneth chose 'Se7en' and Pitt, and Cameron Diaz took the 'Feeling Minnesota' part," Odell wrote. Paltrow and Pitt dated for two years before they got engaged in 1996. "Her dad [Bruce Paltrow] loved Brad. Her friends loved Brad. They thought he was the nicest guy," Odell wrote. According to the author, Paltrow had doubts about her relationship with Pitt early on. "Gwyneth expressed doubts to a crew member [while making the 1996 film 'Emma'] that Pitt was right for her, and admitted she had a crush on Hugh Grant," Odell wrote. She continued, "He was brought up very religious, in Missouri. It's just a very different world from hers, growing up in Manhattan, going to Spence, I think she thought he wasn't sophisticated enough for her. She thought she was smarter, better educated, more sophisticated." The book also references an interview Paltrow previously gave on her relationship with Pitt. "Brad and I have very different upbringings. So when we go to restaurants and order caviar, I have to say to Brad 'This is beluga and this is osetra,'" Paltrow said, per People. Pitt and Paltrow eventually called it quits in 1997. Representatives for Pitt and Paltrow did not respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

Freddie Prinze Jr. reveals the secret behind his 23-year marriage with Sarah Michelle Gellar

Freddie Prinze Jr. reflected on the secret behind his 23-year marriage to actress Sarah Michelle Gellar. During a recent interview with Variety, the 49-year-old actor candidly opened up about how he and Gellar, 48, have kept their relationship strong in Hollywood. "Marriage is hard no matter what business you're in," the "She's All That" star said. "What works for us might not work for everyone else." He continued, "We work at it. I'm not perfect. She's not perfect. We piss each other off, but we respect one another. We were friends first." "Maybe that's the secret? It wasn't just "Oh, she's hot, he's hot — let's hook up," he added. "But I know people who've done it the other way, and their relationships are just as strong as mine." Gellar and Prinze Jr. first met while filming the hit 1997 horror movie "I Know What You Did Last Summer." However, sparks didn't immediately fly between the two. In a 2001 interview with People, Prinze Jr. admitted that the future couple "really didn't dig each other" at first. "Then one day I gave her a ride to the gym," he said. "We talked on the way up, and she was a cool chick." The pair became friends, but their relationship didn't turn romantic until three years later. During a joint interview with People Now in 2020, Gellar and Prinze Jr. explained how they accidentally went on a first date. "We were friends for a very long time. We'd had many dinners before. And we were supposed to go with someone else, and the third person didn't make it out and we decided to still go," the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" alum recalled. "We were just two people at dinner catching up," Gellar continued. "We had a long car ride and a long dinner and things just happened." Prinze Jr. told the outlet that he completely lost interest in seeing other women after his first date with Gellar. "I didn't go on dates with other girls, nor did I even want to pursue dates with other girls," he said. The couple announced their engagement in 2001 and tied the knot a year later in Mexico when Gellar was 24 and Prinze was 26. Prinze Jr. and Gellar, who also co-starred in 2002's "Scooby-Doo" and the 2004 sequel "Scooby-Doo: Monsters Unleashed," welcomed their first child, daughter Charlotte Grace, in 2009. In 2012, Gellar gave birth to their son, Rocky James. While speaking with Variety, Prinze Jr. explained how he treasured his family life with Gellar and their children. "I just love my kids," he said. "My daughter is away for the summer, and I hate it. I like hanging out with my son — he's really funny. I love my wife, man. I married her for a reason." During a December 2024 interview with Fox News Digital, Gellar weighed in on the key to an enduring union. She also expressed her view that changes in societal values had led to the decline of long-lasting relationships. "I think everything takes work in you, whether it's a friendship or a work relationship or a marriage," the "Dexter: Original Sin" star said. "You have to put the work in," she continued. "And we live in an extremely disposable society now." "Your phone breaks, you don't fix it. You get a new one," Gellar added. "And I think that's a lot of the attitude toward relationships." "And I don't know, maybe separate bathrooms," the actress joked. Prinze Jr. is currently starring in the 2025 version of "I Know What You Did Last Summer," which was released on Friday. The actor reprised his role as Ray Bronson in the legacy sequel to the first movie in the four-part franchise. The couple's former co-star Jennifer Love Hewitt also returned to play the original film's protagonist, Julie James. Hewitt and Prinze Jr. previously reunited in the 1998 sequel "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer." Gellar, whose character Helen Shivers was killed off in the first film, made a cameo appearance in the new installment during a dream sequence. "I Know What You Did Last Summer" was released on June 18.
