If ever there was a vehicle that embodied the 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it' idiom, it would be the Land Rover Defender. For decades, the hard-wearing road warrior has provided a platform of remarkable durability, discerning styling and innovative technology, all of which have led to monster sales figures worldwide. Just look at Australia, where sales in 2025 have already eclipsed the previous year for the same period.
However, while the formula is clearly working, Land Rover believes it won't hurt if some small tweaks are scattered across the range. Feast your eyes on the upgraded 2026 Land Rover Defender collection, which the brand believes will bring the burly off-roader up-to-date with the latest tech in today's highly competitive luxury SUV space.

Unveiled earlier this month, the 2026 Defender's minute styling updates are not entirely noticeable at first glance, but a closer look reveals a new headlamp design, a new set of bumpers for the front and rear, plus rear tail-lamps with a smoked effect. Eagled-eyed fans may also spot a new textured pattern for the bonnet inserts as well as side vents. Elsewhere, there are now wheel caps with the Defender logo, and you can now opt for a new set of 22-inch alloys as well as new accessories like an 'Expedition roof rack' and cross bars.
Visually, the biggest change will come in the colour palette updates, with the Defender 110 Sedona Edition bringing a new deep red colour inspired by Sedona, Arizona, while the rest of the range cops new paint options such as Silicon Silver and Carpathian Grey Satin. The more significant upgrade is on the inside, where the technology suite has been upgraded with a larger 13.1-inch infotainment touchscreen as well as optional Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control and a Driver Attention Monitor. The Signature Suite, meanwhile, adds removable side pockets with cable routing for charging devices, and an optional centre 'jump' seat.

Under the hood, the P400 3.0-litre turbo-petrol, which did duty in the Defender 90 and 110, has been replaced with a punchier supercharged 5.0-litre petrol V8 engine, which develops more power at 313kW as well as 500Nm of torque. This means that you can now have a Defender that will do 0-100 km/h in under 6 seconds (Defender 90).
It is not just V8s, though, as some sensible powertrain options have also been added with the D250 six-cylinder mild-hybrid 3.0-litre turbo-diesel, which comes in the short-wheelbase 90 and the 5-seater 110. For more power, the D350 turbo-diesel is available but only on the 130 and the 110, while the P400e plug-in hybrid continues to be offered only on the Defender 110.

Of course, the most bonkers iteration of the Defender is the 110-based OCTA, which remains the flagship iteration with a thumping great twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 (BMW sourced). Changes to the OCTA include new Borasco Grey and the Sargasso Blue colours, as well as Charente Grey and Petra Copper. The exterior also now has a new Textured Graphite finish with a matte surface and peppered with a metallic flake.

As you expect from Richard Mille, founder of the eponymous brand, and Thierry Henriette, CEO of Brough Superior, the new motorcycle does play up to aesthetic codes. The duo reportedly spent 18 months working on the design of the bike, conceiving 12 iterations before finally landing on the dramatic and thought-provoking final proof. Taut and muscular with a dynamic 'feline' silhouette, the same extensive skeletonisation characterises the RMB01 you would see on a Richard Mille timepiece. Each component is optimised through precision machining and hollowed out, leaving only 23kg of finished parts from the initial 160kg of raw material. The result is an engine that is lighter and flexible for the demands of both track and everyday life. Admittedly, this approach has culled a little bit of power, with the RMB01 producing around 130 bhp; certainly nothing that will top a podium, but more than enough to keep the engagement levels high. Throw in the carbon chassis, which the manufacturer describes as a 'veritable self-supporting exoskeleton', and you've got a bike that feels very much faithful to the Richard Mille design aesthetic. Even the artifices have been removed to keep with the thematic elements. Entirely handcrafted in France, the RMB01 will be released as an exclusive edition of 150, individually numbered motorbikes. It will be available from the end of 2025 in three versions: Noctural Sapphire (midnight blue with blue details), Selene (matt grey with orange details) and Pearl of Speed (pearlescent white with red details). There is no official word yet on how much one of these bikes will set you back, but if they are priced in the same vein as Richard Mille's watches, you might want to get you loan application sorted. Generally speaking, the announcement of a new Ferrari comes laden with new performance modules, power increases and technological advancements, but it appears the boffins at Maranello have had enough of the power wars. The Italian marque has just confirmed its long-awaited Roma replacement, and it's a sleek, sharp little number that gets a similar petite power increase. The 2026 Ferrari Almalfi, for all its good looks, has only copped a mild 20bhp increase, but alas, there is good news. After much deliberation and a furore from fans online, Ferrari has officially reintroduced physical buttons. That's right, while Ferrari's new racy GT V8 coupe maintains a sleek silhouette, the return of tactile physical buttons signals a renewed focus on tactile experience. In many ways, this is a little like Volkswagen reversing back to proper switchgear rather than the fiddly touch-sensitive buttons. The front-mid-mounted V8 is a stellar throwback to the heyday of the combustion engine, and the visual approach follows suit. At first glance, it's clear that Flavio Manzoni, chief design officer for the Ferrari Styling Centre and his team, have taken immense inspiration from the Roma, albeit with a few new features. Compared to the curvy lines of the earlier model, the Amalfi introduces some added sharpness to the design, most notably on the front-end. The bonnet is seamless and the haunches are less pronounced now but the basic simplicity of the Roma has been preserved here too. Ferrari describes the exterior as a 'sleek, monolithic speedform that gives the car a strong and dynamic identity'. The front, devoid of a traditional grille, is distinguished by a 'floating body-coloured wing' above a dark recessed band, discreetly integrating sensors and headlights. Of course, you can't go past the launch colour, Verde Costiera, which is a stunning teal green hue inspired by the reflections of the sea along the Amalfi coast. Hence, the 0-100 km/h time of 3.3 seconds is just 0.1 second quicker than the Roma, but to focus solely on that figure would be to entirely miss the point. The Amalfi is not so much a track car built to decimate lap times, despite its ample power, but rather a true evolution of the Grand Tourer concept. A high-performance framework, built on the architecture of a versatile everyday driver, the 2026 Ferrari Amalfi is every bit the ultimate Ferrari indulgence. It even retains some staple elements that many would have thought long gone. Of course, the twin-turbo V8 architecture remains paramount, but the Italian marquee has also opted to stay true to the 8-speed dual-clutch. Instead, the vast majority of changes were concentrated on making the engine more responsive, providing quicker acceleration through the gears. Look a little closer and you might even notice the new aero elements that help to feed more air to the turbochargers. It's an inherently positive move, particularly when you consider the Amalfi's positioning within the Ferrari portfolio. While official pricing has yet to be confirmed, it's likely that this new vehicle will slot in at the very end of the buying catalogue, serving as a unique entry point for many first-time Ferrari buyers. Once in the driver's seat, the new 10-25-inch touchscreen dominates the view and is flanked by a new centre console milled from a single block of aluminium. There is still a three-screen affair, including one for the passenger, but the cabin now has far more drama, despite still being practical. Ferrari also explained that you can even spec 'comfort seats' with various adjustments, including a massage setting that will no doubt settle the nerves as you devour the winding, unkempt roads of the South of France (we assume). Recent studies have shown that more than 122,000 Australians are without a home, and over a quarter of them are under 25. Youth unemployment is twice the national average, rents have surged 54 per cent since 2020, and Youth Allowance sits at just $47 a day. For young people who experience youth homelessness, the challenges of finding meaningful employment, a warm place to stay and a safe domicile are becoming increasingly complex. It's something that Marcus Crook, co-founder of streetwear label and social enterprise HoMie is looking to change. The Melbourne-based creative has just launched its 2025 Hoodies for Homelessness campaign, combining streetwear and social impact with a limerick that's stumping the nation: 'How much good could a good hood do, if a good hood could do good?' For every limited-edition hoodie sold, HoMie's principal partner, Champion, will donate another to a young person affected by homelessness or hardship. 'At HoMie, our hoodies do good,' Crook said. 'We've seen over the last decade that employment really does have the potential to break the cycle of homelessness. Paid work builds confidence and connections, and that's what Hoodies For Homelessness is all about, everyone coming together to build a brighter future for the young people in our community.' Since launching in 2022, Hoodies for Homelessness has sold over 7,000 hoodies raising over $772,000 to support HoMie's youth employment programs. Each year, the campaign has grown in scale and impact, not only putting warm hoodies on the backs of young people, but creating paid job opportunities and long-term pathways out of homelessness. This year's collection features bold hoodie designs in green, blue, and white marle, available from May 31 until June 14, 2025. Supporters are encouraged to join in the fun by filming themselves reciting the tongue-twister – 'How much good could a good hood do, if a good hood could do good?' – and posting it on social media, tagging @ The tongue twister isn't just a verbal challenge; it aims to spark vital conversations about the reality of youth homelessness during one of the toughest times to be young and without stable housing. The Austrian star has teamed up with international charity Mary's Meals to launch 'Race for Meals', a unique fundraising campaign that transforms every lap of the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans into an opportunity to fight child hunger. 'This campaign is a way for me to give back while doing what I love,' Habsburg said. 'It's more than a race. It's a chance to make every lap count for something far greater.' A hunger solution charity, Mary's Meals provides life-changing daily meals to children in the world's poorest communities. According to the organisation, a donation of just €22 is enough to feed a child for an entire school year, but with the help of Ferdinand, who won Le Mans in 2021, Mary's Meals is hoping to raise much more than that. Through this campaign, fans and supporters can sponsor each lap Ferdinand and the #35 Alpine crew complete at Le Mans, turning race distance into hope. An anonymous sponsor has already pledged to match all donations, doubling the number of children who can be fed through this initiative, while French cosmetic brand Clarins Group has committed to contributing an additional €22 for every lap completed. This means that for every single lap Ferdinand and the #35 crew drive, three children will receive meals for a full year. Best of all, Ferdinand has pledged to donate his winner's bonus should he claim victory again this year. 'Of all of the causes in the world to fight for, bringing food to starving children whilst also educating them seems to me the first and most urgent need to conquer. It is a mission everyone can get behind, it is not only important but also unifies us,' Ferdinand said. 'It is our individual responsibility to help others when we can. Time in motorsport is limited, but we have a platform. It's up to us to know what to do with our responsibility.'
