Participants also include presenter Ade Adepitan, Call The Midwife actress Helen George, comedian Ross Noble, McFly bassist Dougie Poynter and Amandaland actress Lucy Punch.
ITV said that the 'group of ocean-phobic celebrities' will be heading to the Bahamas, where they will have to dive with bigger and more dangerous species of sharks.
Bimini, the island where the show will be filmed, is home to around seven to 10 different types of the fish including Caribbean reef sharks, great hammerhead sharks, bull sharks and tiger sharks.
The celebrities will also take part in a series of challenges as they learn the importance of sharks to oceans' ecosystems.
Karen Plumb, head of factual entertainment at production company Plimsoll Productions, said: 'The team at Plimsoll is uniquely positioned to pioneer this format that blends conservation with wildly entertaining pop culture.
'We're constantly looking for innovative approaches to wildlife storytelling and are certain that our fish-out-of-water spin – delivering 50 years after Jaws – will transform the world's perception of these critical predators before it's too late.'
Sir Lenny, 66, who is known for sketch show The Lenny Henry Show, and sitcom Chef, has also been in fantasy series The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power, and taken part in ITV celebrity singing programme The Masked Singer.
Riley, 39, has been on BBC competitions Strictly Come Dancing, Richard Osman's House Of Games and The Weakest Link.
She has previously voiced support for Bite-Back, a shark and marine conservation charity.
I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! winner Poynter, 37, has previously campaigned for action on plastics to protect oceans and wildlife.
He has released the book Plastic Sucks! You Can Make A Difference, and used his Instagram account to criticise the use of shark fins in medicine, and soup.
Call The Midwife star George, 40, said in a post on Instagram: 'One of the most insane experiences of my life, learning about these incredible creatures, with equally incredible humans.'
Katie Rawcliffe, head of entertainment commissioning at ITV, said: 'We're super excited to be combining the work of Plimsoll – a blue chip natural history production company – with the expertise of ITV Entertainment.
'Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters promises to be a once in a lifetime challenge for some of the bravest celebrities out there.'
Bite-Back's founder Graham Buckingham has previously said that Jaws is not a 'documentary', and pushed for the public to 'learn to see them (sharks) as awesome, fascinating and incredible creatures worthy of protection'.
According to the Natural History Museum, shark attacks fell to the lowest level in more than three decades last year, with the International Shark Attack File saying that 47 people were hurt in 'unprovoked shark attacks' in 2024.

'He was going to bless us but he did the whole thing again. This became a bit of a joke with our friends. 'Oh yeah, we were filming on a cruise ship and the captain married us again. We've done four in all but now we want a Kiwi one.' He said: 'As you can see it is in desperate need of restoration. But my project, starting early next year is to restore it completely and then Liz and I will get married for a fifth time.' Noel previously revealed he is 'not sure of the way forward' after a flood ravaged his New Zealand estate. The Motueka river burst its banks last week following heavy rain and has flooded Tasman and Marlborough areas. Noel uploaded a video to YouTube detailing the impact it has had on the local land. He a cknowledged him, Liz and their team were 'very fortunate' and haven't had any injuries or had their livelihood destructed. 'As you can see it is in desperate need of restoration. The former Deal Or No Deal presenter stressed that 'thousands of Kiwis on New Zealand's south island have suffered in this terrible disaster'. 'However, I can't conceal the fact that Liz and I are in a state of shock and at this point we're not quite sure of the way forward,' Noel added. 'You might have seen films of our beautiful vineyard setting in the Moteuka valley, however our river valley, our paradise now looks very different.' Video footage showed fast-flowing water gushing over the land. 'We've spent the last three years creating a wonderful wellness centre, it was constructed in accordance to all of the local regulations, it was about 50m away from the river bank and some 10m above the normal water level,' Noel explained. 'However this is a quite extraordinary event and our wellness centre has taken the full brunt of the torrent.' Two of the estate's treatment suites were left 'wrecked' and one was even 'torn from its foundations'. While the main building is 'covered in a thick layer of silt and mud'. Noel commented: 'Three years of hard graft destroyed in just a few hours.' The TV star acknowledged the positivity of the local community and said: 'I'm in total awe of the way in which our Kiwi neighbours have picked themselves up pulled together as a community. 'You know Kiwis always say 'Oh I'll give it a go'. And I saw one interview where some people who had had their home washed away said 'Well we'll come back and we'll rebuild our lives'.' However, the future still looks uncertain for Noel and his wife as they start to look at their next steps. The foundations of the highway were damaged by the flood and restrictions on accessing it could cause issues to local businesses. 'It's fair to say Liz and I now have to review our three year venture and wonder about what the future holds,' Noel said. The TV star recalled one particular incident to The Sun and recounted how an earthquake 'really shook the house'. He revealed they have experienced three earthquakes whilst living on the estate. Noel told the publication: 'During the first one, we were sitting outside with a glass of wine, and I noticed the surface of the wine rippling. 'That was a mild one. 'The biggest one really shook the house — the cutlery drawer rattled, and Liz and I each grabbed a dog and ran outside.' Fortunately, the incident didn't cause any structural damage to the property. He added: 'But, yes, earthquakes — and a dormant volcano just up the way. At least, we hope that it's dormant.' Noel described the weather as having an 'attitude' because of how severe it can get. He recalled trees falling down in strong winds, 'tropical rain' and landslips. His new documentary, Noel Edmonds' Kiwi Adventure, hit screens earlier this month on ITV and follows the couple as they navigate life together in New Zealand . The TV personality and radio presenter was best known for his stint hosting the Channel 4 game show from 2005 to 2016 when it ended, before its revival with Stephen Mulhern in 2023. LL Cool J and Jazmine Sullivan back out of Philadelphia July Fourth festival in solidarity with local union
Hip-hop legend LL Cool J announced that he was pulling out of a Fourth of July festival in Philadelphia in support of municipal workers' ongoing strike in the city. 'There's absolutely no way that I could perform, cross a picket line and pick up money when I know that people are out there fighting for a living wage,' he said Thursday in a video posted on X. He made the announcement the night before the Wawa Welcome America Festival, Philadelphia's annual July Fourth celebration. LL Cool J was set to headline the festival along with Grammy-winning singer Jazmine Sullivan. He continued by saying he hoped 'the city can make a deal' and that he plans to be in Philadelphia 'in case it works out.' The union, District Council 33 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, began its strike at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday morning after no new agreement for a higher-paying contract was reached. Union members are responsible for essential public services, such as 911 dispatch and sanitation. The union responded to LL Cool J on social media, saying it was encouraging to see him use his influence 'to champion causes that matter to everyday people.' 'LL Cool J's decision to stand in solidarity with the labor movement by choosing not to cross a picket line is a powerful testament to his respect for workers' rights,' the union said in a statement. Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker said she was aware of LL Cool J's decision to not perform and she had 'spoke personally' with him. 'I respect his decision, and understand his desire to see the city unified. He is always welcome in Philadelphia,' she said in a statement. Hours before she was set to perform, Sullivan also announced she was backing out of the festival in solidarity with the union. 'Today I choose to not perform at the Wawa Welcome America concert and stand with Philly's DC33 until the city and union find a way to bring fair living wages to our working class,' Sullivan wrote on Instagram. Parker confirmed that Sullivan had also decided not to perform, saying, 'I respect Jazmine's decision, and understand her desire to see our City unified,' adding: 'Jazmine, your hometown loves you!' Greg Boulware, the union president, said he was 'profoundly humbled' by Sullivan's decision to back out of her performance. 'It's truly refreshing to witness a celebrity of her stature and a native Philadelphian recognizing and valuing the tireless dedication of municipal workers,' he said in a statement. Wawa Welcome America is one of the nation's largest July Fourth celebrations. A representative for the festival did not immediately respond to a request for comment. On July 1 — after the city of Philadelphia was granted three injunctions — a judge ordered some union members to return to work. In response, the union encouraged affected members to 'comply with this directive immediately to avoid any legal consequences.'
