G50 Corp (ASX:G50)
A Eureka moment has provided G50 Corp (ASX:G50) with a potential major gold and silver boost to its Golconda project in Arizona adding to the gallium recently identified.
High-grade results from a second RC drilling program has confirmed a new and significant gold-silver discovery and has seen shares jump 42.2% to a three-year high of 27c.
Golconda was the site of the state's largest zinc-lead mine more than 100 years ago but is now back in the spotlight due to its potential gold, silver and gallium riches.
A high-grade gallium halo identified by G50 at the flagship asset has brought the project into focus since China initiated export controls on the critical mineral back in 2023 and led to discussions over the strategic nature of the asset with the US Government.
And now returns of up to 47.2m at 2.00 g/t Au, 40.2g/t Ag and 0.29% zinc from 191m to the end of hole in the first ever drill program to target the central portion of the Tub Zone below the depth of oxidation increase G50's optimism.
The intersection also included 16.8m at 5.19g/t Au, 100.2g/t Ag and 0.57% Zn from 198m while other results were 77.7m at 0.76g/t Au and 11g/t Ag from 184m to EOH, and 97.5m at 0.27g/t Au, 4.8g/t Ag and 0.7% Zn from 149.4m at the base of historic mine workings to EOH.
Twenty-six RC holes were completed and assays have been returned for 14 holes, four of which ended in mineralisation.
Results confirm the Tub Zone is a laterally and vertically continuous, wide, well defined mineralised discovery that remains open along strike and at depth.
Phase 2 RC drilling also tested the high-priority gallium halo with all holes returning consistent shallow intercepts including 216m at 18.4g/t Ga from 4.6m, 209m at 17.7g/t from 4.6m and 204m at 21.7g/t from surface.
Every RC hole hit consistent widths and grade of gallium underpinning management's view that the halo could be a valuable source of the strategic minerals for domestic supply.
'Today's results confirm we have a new and significant gold-silver discovery at Golconda in Arizona,' G50 Corp's managing director Mark Wallace said.
Prospect Resources (ASX:PSC)
Positive results continue to emanate from Prospect Resources (ASX:PSC) at Mumbezhi in Zambia with metallurgical testwork showing that the copper project has a conventional processing profile that can be treated using low-cost methods.
High-grade copper concentrates with strong recoveries have been produced from several tested mineralised zones, meeting industry standards.
The company is also buoyed by gold indicators and a gold assessment will extend licence-wide as part of phase 2 exploration work with potential for a high-value byproduct at a time of near-record gold prices.
Progress from Zambia has resulted in shares hitting a 12-month high of 20c, an increase of 8.11% on the previous close.
Testwork on transition samples from Nyungu Central deposit and fresh samples from Kabikupa deposit provides indications that Mumbezhi can deliver strong economic returns.
Fresh composite from Kabikupa achieved a copper concentrate of 27.5% Cu and 310ppm cobalt at 95.3% Cu recovery after one cleaning stage, while fresh composite from Nyungu Central delivered a copper concentrate of 24.6% Cu and 0.9% Co at 96.2% Cu recovery after single cleaning.
Nyungu Central transition composite also returned strong results with a copper concentrate of 32.1% Cu and 9.1% Co at 81.4% Cu recovery after two cleaning stages.
The standard flotation process worked effectively for Nyungu Central and Kabikupa, supporting the use of one simple centralised processing plant.
'These results show that Mumbezhi mineralisation has a conventional processing profile, with copper ores that can be treated using simple, low-cost processing methods as implemented at both Lumwana and Sentinel mines,' managing director and CEO Sam Hosack said.
'The potential for gold at Nyungu Central also adds value, and a broader gold assessment across the licence is underway.
'Recent Nyungu Central testwork, covering fresh and transition materials, has delivered much better results than those achieved by the previous operator, Argonaut,' he added.
The test results come on the heels of additional exploration success at Nyungu Central including phase 2 drilling which returned 49m at 0.52% copper from 314m as well as 12.3m at 0.79% from 331m.
Mumbezhi, which is in northwest Zambia in proximity to several major mines in similar geological settings, hosts an indicated and inferred resource of 107.2Mt at 0.5% Cu for 514,600t of copper.
Ionic Rare Earths (ASX:IXR)
Significant support from government at various levels is being received by Ionic Rare Earths to establish a Brazilian rare earths supply chain and this is welcomed by investors with shares hitting a 12-month high of 2.1c, a 16.67% improvement on the July 16 close.
The latest show of support for Viridion Rare Earth Technologies, the 50/50 Brazilian JV of IonicRE and Viridis Mining and Minerals (ASX:VMM), comes in the grant of 2,071m2 of land by the Municipality of Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais.
This land in an industrial district will be used to construct the Centre for Rare Earth Refining, Recycling and Innovation.
Viridion is seeking funding from Brazilian federal authorities to support the centre's establishment and technical team, with definition of the funding package expected in coming weeks.
'We are extremely appreciative to the Municipality of Poços de Caldas, the state of Minas Gerais, Brazilian federal authorities and all local stakeholders for their magnificent support as we build South America's first rare earth refining, recycling and innovation centre in Minas Gerais,' IonicRE MD Tim Harrison said.
Initial phase 1 drilling is expected to begin in August at the Golden Gate target area of Resolution Minerals' Horse Heaven gold, antimony and tungsten asset in Idaho's historic Stibnite mining district.
This follows approval being granted by the US Forest Service with the upcoming program to include up to 20 drill holes for around 20,000 feet.
It is part of RML's Plan of Operations that comprises 57 holes from 19 drill sites along an existing road network in Valley County.
Several past drilling programs targeted shallow oxide gold, returning 36.6m at 1.51g/t gold and 71.6m at 1.37g/t but overlooked antimony and tungsten.
RML plans to confirm the presence of a gold resource, expand known mineralisation and potentially identify the presence of tungsten and antimony.
Shares hit a new two-year high of 6.6c, a lift of 20% on the previous close.

Trump's global trade policy faces test, hours from tariff deadline

President Donald Trump's dream of a new world trade order faced a crucial test Thursday, with dozens of economies –- including key commercial partners like Canada -- yet to secure US tariff deals ahead of a midnight deadline. The last-gasp scramble to strike bilateral accords came as an appeals court in Washington considered the legality behind Trump's strategy of invoking emergency economic powers to declare sweeping duties on imports. The 79-year-old Republican doubled down on the wide-ranging levies, posting on Truth Social: "Tariffs are making America GREAT & RICH Again." He insisted in a separate post that the world's biggest economy would have "no chance of survival or success" without protectionist measures. But question marks linger over the effectiveness of Trump's grand plan -- and whether he will really follow through on his most dramatic threats. In a sign of flexibility, he announced Friday that he was delaying a tariff hike on Mexican products originally due Friday for 90 days after talks with counterpart Claudia Sheinbaum. Other road bumps remain. While Trump has touted a surge in customs revenues since fresh tariffs were imposed this year, economists warn the duties could fuel inflation. And the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit meanwhile was hearing arguments Thursday in cases brought against Trump's blanket tariffs targeting various economies. A government lawyer told the court that Trump's tariff orders were covered by "broad discretion" he enjoys when it comes to handling national emergencies -- including pressing economic issues. A lower court's ruling had blocked most of the duties from taking effect, prompting the Trump administration's challenge and the duties have been allowed to stay in place for now. - Deal or no deal - So far, Washington has announced pacts with Britain, Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, South Korea and the European Union, with those new rates expected to take effect Friday. South Korea squeezed in a last-minute agreement on a 15 percent tariff, significantly below the 25 percent that Trump threatened on its goods. But Trump announced 50 percent tariffs on Brazilian products -- while postponing imposition and allowing key exemptions -- as an effort to pressure the US ally to drop its prosecution of right-wing former president Jair Bolsonaro on coup charges. He also unveiled a 25 percent levy on Indian imports, and warned Canada it would face trade repercussions for planning to recognize a Palestinian state. And the details of the agreements that have been made remain vague. For example, the EU, while having reached a pact, continues pushing for a carve-out for its wine industry. Looming over the entire global economy is the still unresolved trade tussle between the United States and its chief rival China, with the superpowers in talks to maintain a truce after earlier imposing triple-digit tariffs on each other. - Canada threat - Washington has yet to finalize a deal with neighboring Canada, while Trump said he was extending existing 25 percent duties on Mexican imports. Canada's trade relations with the United States came under renewed threat after Prime Minister Mark Carney announced plans to recognize a Palestinian state at the UN General Assembly in September. "That will make it very hard for us to make a Trade Deal with them," Trump warned on social media. Carney said Wednesday: "It is possible that we may not conclude talks by August 1st." Goods covered by a North American trade pact have so far been excluded from Trump's latest tariffs. The US tariff hikes due Friday were announced in April in a package where Trump slapped a minimum 10 percent levy on goods from almost all partners -- citing unfair trade practices. This rate was set to rise to varying levels for dozens of countries, but Washington twice postponed their implementation. bys-cl/sms Business Breaking News Collapsed Australian fashion label Tigerlily has emerged from a turbulent two-year period to make a dramatic retail comeback just in time for a milestone anniversary. Donald Trump says Canada's recognition of Palestinian state will make trade deal 'very hard'

United States President Donald Trump has criticised Canada's intention to recognise a Palestinian state, saying it would make a trade deal between the US and Canada difficult. "Wow! Canada has just announced that it is backing statehood for Palestine," Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social platform later on Thursday. "That will make it very hard for us to make a trade deal with them. Oh Canada!!!" Carney said on Wednesday tariff negotiations with Trump's administration have been constructive, but the talks may not conclude by the deadline. Canada is the second-largest US trading partner after Mexico, and the largest buyer of US exports. It bought more than US$349 billion ($540 billion) of US goods last year and exported US$412 billion ($673 billion) to the US, according to US Census Bureau data. Canada is also the top supplier of steel and aluminium to the United States, and faces tariffs on both metals as well as on vehicle exports. Canada's announcement follows France, UK Canada is the third country to flag it will recognise a Palestinian state in the past week. France, Canada, and the UK have all signalled they will recognise Palestinian statehood, while US President Donald Trump has argued it would "reward Hamas". Source: AAP / Ludovic Marin / Pool / EPA United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer, meanwhile, said the UK would recognise statehood at the UN General Assembly unless Israel took "substantive steps to end the appalling situation in Gaza". The announcements by some of Israel's closest allies reflect growing international outrage over Israel's restrictions on food and other aid to Gaza, and the dire humanitarian crisis there. Israel has bombarded Gaza since an October 2023 attack on southern Israel led by Hamas militants, in which some 1,200 people were killed and another 251 taken as hostages to Gaza, according to Israeli tallies. Since then, Israel's offensive in the Gaza Strip has killed more than 60,000 people and laid waste to much of the territory, according to Gaza health ministry. In his announcement, Carney said Canada condemned "the fact that the Israeli government has allowed a catastrophe to unfold in Gaza". Ten G20 countries already recognise Palestine as a state. Source: SBS News He said his decision was informed by Canada's "long-standing" belief in a two-state solution, and that the reality on the ground, including starvation of people in Gaza, meant that goal was "being eroded before our eyes". Carney said the planned recognition was based in part on repeated assurances from the Palestinian Authority, which represents the Palestinian state at the UN, that it was reforming its governance and is willing to hold general elections in 2026 in which Hamas "can play no part". The Palestinian state has been a non-member observer state of the UN General Assembly since 2012, recognised by more than three-quarters of the assembly's 193 member states. Israel's foreign ministry rejected Carney's statement, saying in a statement the decision would harm efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza.

Resources Top 5: Infini Resources revs up quest for Canadian uranium

An aggressive second phase exploration program is planned at the Portland Creek uranium project in Canada YAR has had a positive quarter as it positions itself as a key player in the high-quality coal market C1X is part of a collaborative development pathway for Bolivia's lithium brine resources Your standout small cap resources stocks for Thursday, July 31, 2025 Infini Resources (ASX:I88) Armed with a much stronger understanding of the local geology, geophysics and geochemistry, Infini Resources is revving up the engine for an aggressive second phase exploration program at the Portland Creek uranium project in Newfoundland, Canada. Specialised Canadian drilling contractor, Rodren Drilling, which has more than 47 years of experience supporting mining projects across Canada including in uranium exploration, has been appointed to lead drilling for the planned phase 2 program. Coast Mountain Geological (CMG) has been appointed to provide in-field geological services throughout the planned phase 2 program. CMG has been actively involved with developing and advancing grassroots projects for 32 years. Infini shares closed 36% higher at 17c. Following a recent review and refinement of the Portland Creek exploration model, which confirmed a series of untested, high-priority uranium targets, Infini has been compelled to remobilise to site to advance the next phase of exploration. Phase 2 drilling will systematically test 12 highly prospective exploration targets defined by a combination of favourable structural controls, including east-west fault zones, and strong surface anomalism such as elevated uranium values, radiometric responses, radon gas, LREE pathfinders and uranium-in-lake sediment anomalies. These surface indicators are further supported by hydrothermal alteration observed in drill core from phase 1, highlighting the potential for structurally hosted primary uranium mineralisation. Additional structural mapping and rock-chip sampling is planned ahead of phase 2 drill program to refine drill hole placement and ensure agile, data-driven decision making in the field. Mobilisation of contractors to Portland Creek for the program of at least 2500m is expected mid-late August 2025, with drilling set to begin shortly after. "We are very pleased to welcome Rodren Drilling and CMG to the Portland Creek program. Their combined technical capabilities and operational experience will be critical to the successful and efficient execution of Phase 2 drilling,' Infini's CEO Rohan Bone said. 'With the key contractors now in place and mobilisation scheduled for mid-August, Infini is well positioned to begin testing the highly prospective targets generated by our refined exploration model and to advance our goal of unlocking a new uranium discovery at Portland Creek." Yari Minerals (ASX:YAR) A positive quarter from Yari Minerals as it positions itself as a key player in the high-quality coal market was reflected by a 40% lift in the share price to 1.4c before closing at 1.2c. During the June quarter the company completed the acquisition of Rolleston South coal project in Queensland's Tier-1 Bowen Basin and increased the JORC (2012) inferred resource by 91% to 151Mt. Yari also confirmed the potential for both high-grade thermal coal and semi-soft metallurgical coal, and finalised drill targets ahead of a maiden drilling campaign planned for the second half of 2025. Rolleston South is Yari Minerals' flagship asset and the company said it represented a transformational acquisition. The project covers 272km2 across two granted Exploration Permits for Coal (EPC 2138 and EPC 2327) in the Bowen Basin, which is Australia's premier coal-producing region, hosting extensive infrastructure and supporting long-term global export operations. Situated just 20km south of the Glencore-operated Rolleston Mine and within trucking distance of the Blackwater Rail System for export via the Port of Gladstone, Rolleston South is well placed for development. Sealed highways and proximity to operational mines provide excellent logistical advantages for future production scenarios. Following completion of the Rolleston South acquisition in May 2025, Yari Minerals completed a comprehensive geological review, incorporating additional open-source data and new interpretation methods. This resulted in a 91.3% increase in the inferred resource, taking the total from 78.9 million tonnes (Mt) to 151Mt. The upgrade validates the project's potential as a high-quality, large-scale coal asset and provides a strong foundation for future development and resource classification work. Yari's technical team began development planning during the quarter, with a focus on: Finalising drill targets to improve resource confidence and support reclassification to the indicated status; Designing a testwork program to validate washability and assess the potential to separate thermal and metallurgical products; and Reviewing the project's mining potential. Cosmos Exploration (ASX:C1X) Cosmos Exploration continues to assess the delivery of a technically robust and collaborative development pathway for Bolivia's lithium brine resources. This work is part of an exclusive option to acquire 100% of EAU Lithium, which is leading technology trials in partnership with Bolivia's state-owned Yacimientos de Litio Bolivianos (YLB). Workstreams under EAU's agreement with YLB progressed in the June quarter, with Cosmos remaining fully aligned and supportive of the development pathway. This week Cosmos released an update confirming that initial test work on synthetic formulations replicating Bolivian brine chemistry had been completed by EAU at Vulcan Energy's laboratory in Germany. Testing on natural brine samples from Salar de Coipasa and Salar de Pastos Grandes is underway, with final results to be released following completion and formal review in line with EAU's agreement with YLB. 'We are looking forward to completing the final stage of testwork and advancing towards a potential industrialisation agreement, particularly against the backdrop of improving sentiment in the lithium market,' C1X executive chairman Jeremy Robinson said. Perpetual Resources (ASX:PEC) Plans are being finalised for the next phase of drilling by Perpetual Resources targeting depth extensions at the Raptor rare earths project in the world-class Caldeira Alkaline Complex in Minas Gerais, Brazil. This program at the Portão Verde, Pina Colada and Pinheirinho prospects will be designed to fully assess broader project-scale potential to support a maiden JORC resource estimate. The aircore holes will be drilled to depths of 30-40m to follow previous shallow auger holes demonstrating that mineralisation is open at depth. PEC will also advance detailed metallurgical testwork and mineralogical characterisation to support future development studies and underpin Raptor's positioning as a potential long-term supplier of critical rare earths. Raptor is close to Meteoric Resources' (ASX: MEI) Caldeira project, which has a resource of 1.5Bt at 2359ppm TREO, and Viridis Mining and Minerals' (ASX: VMM) Colossus project. Shares hit 2.7c, a new high of almost two years and a 17.4% increase on the previous close. Albion Resources (ASX:ALB) Investors reacted positively to Albion Resources divesting its non-core Mongers Lake gold project in WA to Capricorn Metals (ASX:CMM) with shares lifting 10.25% to 9.7c. The upfront consideration for the Murchison region asset is $1.5m, comprising a $100,000 non-refundable cash deposit with a further A$1.4m on completion, payable in cash or Capricorn shares. There are also contingent milestone payments of up to A$1.5m including: A$750,000 upon Capricorn announcing a JORC-compliant mineral resource estimate of at least 75,000oz gold; and A$750,000 upon Capricorn announcing a decision to begin a standalone mining operation. The sale enables Albion to fully focus on its Yandal West Gold Project where it recently announced near-surface high-grade gold hits including 11m at 20g/t gold from 17m. Mongers Lake is around 30km northwest of Capricorn's Mt Gibson gold project. 'This transaction is consistent with our strategy to focus on unlocking value at Yandal West, where we are actively drilling and building momentum on multiple high-grade gold targets,' Albion CEO Peter Goh said.
