Amanda Holden looks 'unrecognisable' appearing on ITV's Blind Date in '90s
A fresh-faced video of TV's Amanda Holden has resurfaced from the '90s, and people think she looks "unrecognisable". The Britain's Got Talent judge had a surprise when the clip was shared with her on Heart radio this week, and it's left people saying the same thing.
It was noted she was just 19 when she made an appearance on ITV 's Blind Date show, and the footage has left fans in awe. The radio station said it simply had to bring back the "iconic moment", which was shared on Instagram, and fans simply can't get enough of the fun and hilarious video.
In the footage, Amanda, now 54, is asked by Cilla Black which celebrity she'd like to have a romance with, and she replies: "Well, I can only name one, can't I? I have four, but it's Jack Nicholson." Speaking to her co-hosts, she admitted she had a "real crush" on the actor back then, and also joked that she sounded "so posh" when she was younger.
However, this wasn't the only difference fans noticed, as they also couldn't get over her totally different look. Wearing a black dress, donning a sharp bob and slightly darker locks - fans were taken aback by the star's transformation.
Since it's been shared, the post has been liked over 21,000 times, and people were quick to comment too. They had all sorts of thoughts to share about her changing look.
One said: "You literally haven't aged. What a little cutie." Another wrote: "Aged beautifully - and still looks completely natural. A rarity nowadays!"
A third replied: "Gosh!! She did have a nice posh accent. Love it." Meanwhile a fourth also commented: "She looked great back then but - OMG - she looks amazing these days. She's aged very, very well."
Someone else also added: "Like a fine wine. Gets better with age." One more wrote: "Timeless beauty."
Amanda actually made her first ever TV appearance on Blind Date back in 1991 and then, by 1997, she became a cast member of the Channel 5 sketch show "We Know Where You Live", alongside Simon Pegg, Fiona Allen and Sanjeev Bhaskar.
Between 2006 to 2008, the actress appeared as Sarah Trevanian in three series of ITV's "Wild at Heart", co-starring Stephen Tompkinson. She's also known for starring in shows such as Cutting It and Smack The Pony.
In recent years. she's become wellknown for being a TV judge. Since 2007, Amanda has been a judge on the television talent competition show Britain's Got Talent on ITV.
As well as this, she also hosts the Heart Breakfast radio show with Jamie Theakston on weekday mornings. The star is married to Chris Hughes, and the couple have been together for over 20 years.
She tied the knot with Chris in 2008, just four years after they first started dating. The couple now share daughters Lexi, 19, and Hollie, 13, together.
People seem to love her fun energy, as another fan wrote: "Love Amanda Holden - so charismatic and amazing energy." Another also added: "Amanda, you have always had this amazing energy. What an incredible positive force you are."
