Hollywood legend pictured at beloved Scottish gastropub
Sharing the 81-year-old's visit, the eatery revealed the actor joined them for 'dinner'.

In a Facebook post, they said: "Who joined us for dinner tonight?
"Do you recognise this face?
"He enjoyed his meal so much that he's coming back at the weekend."
On top of the gastropub, the comic also dropped into The Smithy at Sandyford near Prestwick on Wednesday, June 11.
The restaurant, which is located beside the A77 bypass, is known for dishing up fresh food.
Sharing Chevy's visit, they said: "Thanks to Chevy Chase and his family for stopping by for some lunch at The Smith at Sandyford.
"Haste Ye Back (come back soon)."
The American actor, who is from New York, became the breakout cast member in the first-ever season of Saturday Night Live in 1975, where his recurring Weekend Update segment became a staple of the beloved programme.
Since then, the Hollywood icon has starred in several films, including National Lampoon's Vacation, Vacation, Caddyshack, Three Amigos, and many more.

The band's tour will begin on Friday, July 4, with another gig the following evening on Saturday, July 5. Trains With an increase in train passengers expected in the months of June and July due to a series of gigs taking place in Cardiff, Transport for Wales (TfW) and Great Western Railway (GWR) will operate additional services with trains that have more carriages than usual to get customers to and from the events smoothly. The start of Oasis's sell-out tour will see GWR operate six extra trains to get people home again, providing almost 4,000 additional seats, for each of the two nights. Star Trek actor Peter-Henry Schroeder dies aged 90
Star Trek fans everywhere are in mourning after it's been announced that Enterprise series star Peter-Henry Schroeder has died aged 90. The American actor was best known from Star Trek: Enterprise, the 2000s TV iteration of the long-running sci-fi series which ran for four seasons. Schroeder famously appeared in the two-parter pilot episode Broken Bow, in which he played the Chancellor – a high-ranking member of space series' Klingron race. Later in his career, he appeared in 2012 best picture Academy Award winner Argo, with his final credited role coming in 2020 political satire Sammy-Gate. Schroeder is reported to have 'passed away peacefully' in June while surrounded by members of his family at the Lake City Veterans Affairs Medical Centre in the US state of Florida. No cause of death has been provided at this point. On X earlier this year, @HereisthePlac paid tribute to Schroder's story and experiences, saying: 'What a man he is. Incredible human. Fascinating life story. Could be a movie.' Reports in Deadline say that, during his final days, Schroeder was repeatedly asking when he was going to be allowed out of hospital and back to work. 'When are you going to get me out of here? I've got to get back to LA [to work],' he is reported to have demanded, eager to return to the job he loved so much. Schroeder is survived by his daughter Valerie Lynn and his son Peter Henry II, his daughter-in-law Felicia Cristiani Bass, and his grandsons Peter Henry III and Jarrid Michael. Away from cinema and TV, Schroeder spent time in the US Army, and was in active duty during the prolonged Korean War, which ended in 1953. Schroeder was still stationed there during the aftermath in 1955. He was assigned to a unit involved with the United Service Organisations, the non-profit organisation that provided live entertainment to US Army soldiers and their families. In the 1960s he briefly became a recording artist under the name Pete Schrayder, releasing a song called Where's the Girl for Me in 1960 and, in 1964, Memories of Marilyn – written about a USO show Monroe played in the 1950s. Back in the world of cinema, he formed his own production company, PHS Productions, and became a teacher at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. If you were a '90s kid who grew up in America like I was, it's highly likely that you too fought your parents for the remote to catch SNICK or Saturday Night Nickelodeon. A golden era of programming for kids and pre-teens, the two-hour block was filled with hit after hit, from the sarcastic and funny Melissa Hart in Clarissa Explains It All, to the semi-legit scary tales of Are You Afraid of the Dark? But a favorite in my house? The pint-sized version of Saturday Night Live but for kids: All That. Breakout stars of the show, Ken Thompson and Kel Mitchell received a spin-off sitcom of their own in 1996, Ken & Kel, following up with the movie, Good Burger, inspired by their skit on the sketch comedy show. And this summer, one of the beloved actors will be heading to NYC this Labor Day weekend, bringing us together for all the nostalgic feels and tons of burgers. On Saturday, August 30, Kel Mitchell is bringing his first-ever Kel's Burger Fest to Brooklyn. Teaming up with Bucket Listers, the one-day fest held at Williamsburg's BK Backyard Bar will bring music, games and some of the best burgers from across the country, New York included. While the burger lineup has yet to be officially announced, the all-out extravaganza will feature over-the-top creations, smashburgers and even a few vegan patties thrown in the mix.
