Deputy Chief of Staff of Russian Presidential Executive Office: BRICS Is Sriver of Global Economy
BRICS has everything necessary for sustainable economic growth and improving the well-being of the population – from resources and technologies to human capital. This was stated by Maksim Oreshkin, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Russian Presidential Executive Office, speaking at the BRICS Business Forum in Rio de Janeiro, according to TV BRICS.
He added that BRICS is a global technology leader: dozens of companies operating in the countries are setting the direction for development in the fields of telecommunications, aerospace, digital technologies, logistics, and nuclear energy.
"We are capable of promoting new financial, settlement and investment instruments, including for the development of human capital. By combining all these mechanisms, we can form a new sustainable platform for global growth. Our common task is to actively move forward on this path," said the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation.
In an exclusive commentary for TV BRICS, Oreshkin emphasised that the BRICS summit reflects the spirit of the group – an association of states with different cultures and attitudes, which, despite their differences, come together for the sake of common progress.
"From summit to summit, systematic work is being done, new initiatives are emerging, they are gaining momentum and are being translated into real decisions, into real cooperation between the BRICS countries and, in general, the countries of the Global South and East. This is very important because this is what is driving the global economy right now," he said.
According to him, today the voice of BRICS is growing louder, and this interaction is gaining momentum every year.

Ahmed Emam The World Food Programme (WFP) has called for a sustainable ceasefire in Gaza, warning that ongoing hostilities are severely hindering humanitarian operations in the besieged enclave. Putin Signs Law Allowing Foreigners to Serve in Russian Military
By Ahmad El-Assasy Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a new law on Monday allowing foreign nationals to serve in the Russian military. According to Russia's state news agency TASS, the law enables non-Russian citizens to sign military contracts and serve in the armed forces until the end of mobilization orders, martial law, or wartime conditions. TASS reported that the legislation includes amendments to several key laws, such as those governing military duties, defense, and the status of military personnel. 5.5 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Turkey on Monday
Rana Atef On Monday, the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) announced the recording of a 5.0 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale in the Mediterranean Sea, approximately 188 kilometers from the Datça district in Muğla Province. The agency clarified that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 5.39 kilometers, at a latitude of 35.12889°N and a longitude of 26.62972°E. It is worth noting that in February 2023, Turkey was struck by a massive earthquake with a magnitude of around 8.0, which resulted in thousands of deaths and injuries. Its impact extended into Syria as well, due to the epicenter's proximity to the Turkish-Syrian border.
