Vikrant Massey To Kick Off Sri Sri Ravishankar's Biopic With Month-Long Shoot In Colombo
Vikrant Massey will be starring in Sri Sri Ravishankar's biopic titled White, and the actor has recently kicked off preparations for the biographical drama. For that, he even went to meet the spiritual leader. Now, News18 has exclusively learned about the shooting schedule for the film, and a source close to the development revealed that the actor is now off for a one-month-long shoot in Colombo.
An industry insider exclusively told us, 'For the biopic on Sri Sri Ravishankar, titled White, Vikrant Massey will be in Colombo for a month-long schedule packed with intense scenes and key moments in the spiritual leader's journey. The team has been meticulously preparing for this phase, and Vikrant Massey has been deeply immersed in research and preparation to do justice to the character."
Earlier, Vikrant met the spiritual leader to have a deeper understanding of his life, and while sharing pictures from his meeting, the 12th Fail actor wrote in the caption, 'Deeply humbled and gushed with gratitude to bring my MASTER @gurudev SRI SRI RAVI SHANKAR JI's story to life. I can only attempt to step into your magnanimous shoes GURUDEV. Though futile, I must try."
He added, 'Rarely does Mother Earth get a glimpse of selfless souls like you. To my beloved well-wishers, I am very nervous. I'd need you every step of the way. White only in cinemas."
Directed by Montoo Bassi, the upcoming film brings together an international cast to narrate the remarkable and often-overlooked story of how Colombia's devastating 52-year civil war was brought to an end — a largely unsung triumph in the history of modern peacemaking. The official release date is yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Vikrant Massey has a packed slate ahead. Apart from White, he was last seen in Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan, which marked Maheep Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor's daughter Shanaya Kapoor 's debut.
Vikrant Massey also had Don 3, co-starring Ranveer Singh, in the pipeline, but recently it was revealed that the actor has stepped away from the project due to creative differences, and now the makers are searching for his replacement.

New Delhi, Aug 1 (PTI) Superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Friday said he was 'overwhelmed with gratitude, pride and humility" after being named best actor at the 71st National Film Awards, his first win at the prestigious film honours in a career spanning over three decades. In a video message on Instagram, the 59-year-old actor said the National Film Award serves as a reminder that his work 'matters" and encourages him to 'keep going, working hard, keep creating and keep serving cinema". Shah Rukh, who shared the award with '12th Fail" actor Vikrant Massey, was rewarded for his performance in filmmaker Atlee's action drama 'Jawan" (2023). The movie, which minted over Rs 1,100 crore at the worldwide box office, was a high-octane thriller and featured SRK in the dual role of Army officer Vikram Rathore and his jailor son Azad. 'I am overwhelmed with gratitude, pride and humility. To be honored with the National Award is a moment that I will cherish for a lifetime," he said in the video message. In the video, the actor's right hand was in a sling following an injury he sustained while shooting for his upcoming film 'King". 'A national award is not just about achievement. It's a reminder that what I do matters. It tells me to keep going, keep working hard, keep creating and keep serving cinema. 'In a world full of noise to be heard, truly heard, is a blessing.
