Teenagers arrested after boy, 17, stabbed in Batley

Two teenagers have been arrested after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed on a street in Batley.Officers were called to several reports of an assault on Mayman Lane at about 15:45 GMT on Monday, according to West Yorkshire Police.The boy, who had suffered stab wounds to his lower body, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.Two 16-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding, a force spokesperson said.
Officers appealed for witnesses, or anyone with video footage that could help their investigation, to get in touch.
