AZ Chike Wants To Collect 'West Coast Infinity Stones'
While the moment catalyzes his rap career, the Warner Records signee is not new to the game or even to mainstream rap features, as he was featured on ScHoolboy Q's 2024 Blue Lips album, signifying his support from Hip-Hop veterans. Now, as his star power expands, AZ Chike hopes to keep collecting 'West Coast Infinity Stones.'
Being supported by the aforementioned Black Hippy members is seemingly fate for the 'What X2' performer — who shares with VIBE that he was given a figurative stamp in the womb from DJ Quik — as he explains his desire to link up with some of the industry's biggest pioneers from the Golden State, also naming Ice Cube, and Dr. Dre.
'The thing with DJ Quik is, my mama put me on all the gangsta sh*t growing up. She was like a dope girl in the '90s,' he explains.
'DJ Quik was one of her favorite artists. She went to one of his shows, and I don't think he ended up performing in the venue or something. Long story short, he hopped and started performing on top of the limo. At the time, she's pregnant with me. He's rapping, and he rubs her stomach while she's pregnant with me. I haven't been able to tell him that. But my manager sent me a video of him recording himself when Kendrick was performing 'Peek-A-Boo' at the Super Bowl, and it was like a full circle moment.'
Further in the conversation, the rising rapper added the names of additional artists outside of California Hip-Hop with whom he'd like to connect creatively.
'Future for sure,' exclaims the 29-year-old. 'Teddy Swims, for sure. Oh, man. I like Smino a lot, too. His sh*t is very cold and he can rap. He can rap. Doechii, for sure.'
AZ Chike's horizon continues to expand as he recalls, 'I got to get some UK artists in there too. I think Dave is dope from the UK…and honorable mention EST Gee, his sh*t got me in a chokehold right now.'
Still, the 'Big Dawg' rapper remains loyal to his home turf, and makes it clear when explaining the unreleased snippet heard at the end of the 'Whatx2' music video.
'It was a flare being shot in the air,' AZ Chike declares. 'I wouldn't even say a fair warning because I'm not here to play fair.'
He continues to boast, 'But it goes for everybody. Anybody who got something to say about what's going on now for the West Coast, just tread lightly.'

Production on the hit Max series' second season in June. A list of his many career accomplishments was read, highlighting his work in "iconic films" including A Few Good Men and Donny Darko, as well as his "amazing television career." His awards show accolades were also listed, highlighting his five Emmy nominations, three Golden Globe nominations, People's Choice Awards nods and his four SAG Award wins. "And that's just up to date. More to come for sure." Huge congratulations to our dear friend and colleague, Noah Wyle, on getting selected for a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! 🤩 — Warner Bros. TV (@warnerbrostv) July 3, 2025 "You may know him by some of his alter egos: [Falling Skies'] Tom Mason, [The Librarians'] Flynn Carsen and [ER's] John Carter, and now Dr. Michael Rabinovitch. So it is a great pleasure for me to announce that our own Noah Wyle is getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame." The actor had his hands over his face in shock and excitement after the announcement. "We got babies on the clock, we gotta wrap this up fast," he joked as he was handed a microphone to address the gathered crowd. "I am so embarrassed!" he admitted, referring to the fanfare about the announcement. In reality, though, he said he is "so, so, so thrilled." Wyle then reflected on how the milestone achievement circles back to his childhood as an L.A. native. "I did grow up in Hollywood," he said. "I used to walk home every day down Hollywood Blvd from Gardner Street Elementary School and I would put my foot over the 'Beery' in Noah Beery Junior's name on his star and think, 'Oh, maybe one day.' And I guess that day has come." He also admitted he was "so thrilled" that it was The Pitt that earned him the honor. "Onward!" he said as the clip, shared by Warner Bros. on X, ended. "You have to almost have it be a non-factor and create the same sense of privacy and same sense of hermetic sealed off, insulated sense of company that we built the first year," he said during a panel for the show at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, Calif. "I think if we're successful in that regard, then the storytelling will just roll out." Season 1, he admitted, was "lightning in a bottle," which is "something you can't plan for, you can only pray for." "And I think with this collective group, we could make it happen again, overjoyed that we get to," he said. The 41-year-old is known for her role in Pasadena, Hope & Faith, One on One, Cielito Lindo, Girls Talk, and many more. No, Kirsten Storms has not left General Hospital permanently. Paggi has temporarily taken over Storms's role on the show due to the latter's scheduling conflicts. This is not the first time Storms has been temporarily replaced in General Hospital. In 2011, she took a medical leave from the show due to her battle with endometriosis. During her absence, Jen Lilley was roped in to play Maxie Jones. In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Storms shared her first reaction to her recast, stating, 'I would be lying if I didn't say that I was taken aback a bit by it.' She continued, 'I would prefer that someone play Maxie and be playing Maxie well to keep the character relevant and in the soap world still because it doesn't take much for a character to die off and for somebody else to come in and be in a front-burner storyline. I was very excited just to know that she was still going to be in Port Charles and doing lots of things.' The post Who Replaced Kirsten Storms as Maxie on General Hospital? Lizzo Reveals The 'Truth' About Her Weight Loss Journey
Lizzo is finally setting the record straight about her weight loss and is not holding anything back. After months of whispers and speculation about whether the pop icon turned to Ozempic or other quick fixes, the "Truth Hurts" singer shared before-and-after photos and a raw message about how she really got to this point. From intense workouts and strict meal plans to stopping processed foods and embracing self-discipline, Lizzo revealed that her transformation was earned. And now, she's letting fans in on what worked, making it clear that there were no shortcuts. On Thursday, July 3, Lizzo took to Instagram to share an appreciation post for massage expert and spa owner Flavia Lanini, thanking her for her help in her weight loss transformation. The 37-year-old shared side-by-side "before and after" photos of her "first" lymphatic massage with the spa and the "most recent." In the caption, Lizzo explained how she lost weight, slamming blogs and people who said she took the easy way out. "The photo on my left is my first time getting lymphatic massage from Flavina, and the right is the most recent! In light of all these magazines and blogs wanting me to be on Ozempic soooo bad — here's the truth," she began. The Grammy award winner confirmed that her results came from "training 3x a week, daily sauna & cardio, adding animal protein back into my diet." Lizzo also revealed that with the help of a personal chef, she maintained a calorie deficit while cutting out sugary drinks, chips, and junk food. "I play pickleball and hike and walk on the beach and move my body and dance and drink water," Lizzo continued. She mentioned that her routine extended beyond physical activity and staying in a calorie deficit. "I also get holistic body work done, wood therapy, and lymphatic massage." With over 60 pounds shed, the rapper noted that she was happy and proud of her accomplishments, and nobody could discredit her. Fans couldn't agree more as they flooded the comments section with supportive words. Many revealed that the star didn't owe anyone an explanation, as she had achieved her goal irrespective of how she did it. "It doesn't matter how you did it. You did it. That's the accomplishment. You're amazing regardless. People are just mad they're broke because no matter what 'cheat' or 'easy way' you wanna take, you need money," one person wrote. Another person commented, "I'm so glad you are doing what makes you happy. If others need a GLP1, that's okay too, we all need access to different things that help our journey." Other users slammed Lizzo's post, calling it tone-deaf and a shade to Ozempic users. "Don't like the jab towards Ozempic. Fine, you didn't take it, but most of us cannot afford a personal chef, trainer, lymphatic massages, and saunas, so isn't that kind of cheating too?" one fan wrote. A second person shared, "You're not better than others just because you don't use Ozempic. It's a different path, and people who use LPG medications have also had their own journey." Lizzo's confession comes weeks after she admitted to trying out Ozempic. During a June 19 appearance on the "Just Trish" podcast, she explained that initially, she went all out to achieve her weight loss goal, trying out the Type 2 diabetes drug. However, she concluded that the method wasn't the most effective way. "I tried everything. Ozempic works because you eat less food, yeah? So if you eat right, it makes you feel full. But if you can just do that on your own and get mind over matter, it's the same thing," she shared. Lizzo revealed she only started seeing the results she wanted when she began eating meat. "When I started actually eating whole foods and eating, like, beef and chicken and fish. I was actually full and not expanding my stomach by putting a lot of fake things in there that wasn't actually filling me up," the rapper noted. Two months prior, Lizzo opened up about how her decision to go for "super savory" foods instead of "sugary stuff" in the morning helped her lose 16% of her body fat. "I do something sweet. It's gotta be with some sort of like carb. I'll have like almond butter and toast. So, everybody's body is different. Find out what works for you," she said in a TikTok Live per PEOPLE. The "Pink" singer also revealed that her weight loss journey became easier after a shift in mindset. "I loved to distract myself with people. I loved to distract myself with food. I loved to distract myself with drinking. I loved to distract myself with problems that I would create. I would love to do that. And I stopped doing that. And I just focused on me," Lizzo confessed.
