Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran's team recently addressed rumours regarding his comments on the film L3: Azrael (L3). Taking to X, the Team of Prithviraj Sukumaran expressed 'disappointment' in the post. 'We express our disappointment in major channels for spreading false news claiming that Prithviraj Sukumaran made statements about the L3 movie. These reports are entirely untrue. We urge all media outlets to refer to the official interview videos from the Sarzameen promotions for accurate information.'
The X post further mentioned that 'misinformation originated from a fake profile ID'. 'It appears this misinformation originated from a fake profile ID as part of a hate campaign. We request all channels to cross-check facts before reporting and to republish corrected news to clarify the truth to the public and Prithviraj's well-wishers. We expect a professional approach in handling this matter. Thank you.#Poffactio,' the post further reads.
As per the regional media reports, Prithviraj mentioned L3 would feature 'underwater action' and be the most 'expensive' Indian film during Sarzameen promotions.
Sarzameen is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, and Apoorva Mehta under the banner of Dharma Productions. Directed by Kayoze Irani, the film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran as Vijay Menon–a man torn between a father's love and a soldier's duty, Kajol as Meher–a mother who fights against all odds to keep her family intact, and Ibrahim Ali Khan as Harman–a vulnerable young man caught at a crossroads.
Lucifer is a 2019 Malayalam action thriller film directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, in his directorial debut, and written by Murali Gopy. It is the first instalment in the Lucifer Franchise. A sequel titled L2: Empuraan was released on 27 March 2025. It will be followed by another sequel called L3: Azrael.

'Mahavatar Narsimha' Box Office Collection Day 8: Spiritual animation film crosses Rs 50 crore mark

Despite being a fully animated feature rooted in ancient Indian mythology, a genre that rarely finds mass acceptance, the film has been performing very well. Mahavatar Narsimha Movie Review According to early estimates by Sacnilk, 'Mahavatar Narsimha' collected around Rs 7.50 crore in India net on its eighth day (second Friday), taking its total collection to an impressive Rs 51.75 crore. The movie had a strong weekend rise, earning Rs 4.6 crore on Saturday and Rs 9.5 crore on Sunday, after opening with Rs 1.75 crore on its debut Friday. The film's performance has been continuously strong ever since. Consistent weekday performance The success of the movie has been greatly aided by its powerful word-of-mouth, superb animation, and spiritual appeal. Both the Telugu and Hindi belts have consistently shown the movie's occupancy. Theatre Occupancy 'Mahavatar Narsimha' had an overall Telugu occupancy rate of 42.03% on Friday, August 1, with night performances reaching a peak of 72.52%. A moderate 16.29% turnout for morning shows increased steadily throughout the day to 33.02% in the afternoon and 46.27% in the evening. The movie's total occupancy rate in the Hindi version was 30.20%, with night shows hitting 53.20%. A slow increase trend was evident when morning shows started at 11.52%, followed by afternoon performances at 22.08% and evening shows at 33.98%. Occupancy increased considerably later in the day. The updated overall occupancy for the Telugu version was 33.80%, with morning performances accounting for 18.38%, afternoon shows for 30.40%, evening shows for 37.68%, and night shows for 48.73%. The Hindi version, meanwhile, saw a sharp increase in overall occupancy to 37.26%, with night shows accounting for a commanding 64.92%. Together with writers Jayapurna Das and Rudra Pratap Ghosh, director Ashwin Kumar's movie has been receiving positive reviews from fans on social media.
