Billie Eilish Replaces One Of The Biggest Rock Albums Of All Time At No. 1

Billie Eilish's Hit Me Hard and Soft returns to No. 1 on Billboard's Top Rock & Alternative Albums ... More chart, swapping spots with Fleetwood Mac's Rumours. LONDON, ENGLAND - JULY 10: Billie Eilish performs on stage at The O2 Arena on July 10, 2025 in London, England. (Photo byfor Live Nation) Throughout much of the past year, Billie Eilish's Hit Me Hard and Soft has ruled several of Billboard's albums charts. The full-length became a new No. 1 for the singer-songwriter when it debuted in mid-2024, and it has largely reigned over some style-specific tallies ever since. Only a handful of titles have been able to interrupt the Grammy-nominated project's winning streak, including one just last week. That project wasn't an exciting brand new launch or a surging recent favorite, but rather a decades-old collection that Americans never seem to tire of. Billie Eilish Replaces Fleetwood Mac at No. 1 Hit Me Hard and Soft returns to No. 1 on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart this week. Eilish rises from the runner-up spot to the summit, trading places with Fleetwood Mac's Rumours. That full-length, which was released almost half a century ago, found its way back to No. 1 on Billboard's ranking of the most consumed rock and alternative albums in the country just last week. At the moment, it only slips one space to No. 2. Hit Me Hard and Soft Vs. Rumours Eilish has now led the charge on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums list with Hit Me Hard and Soft for 44 nonconsecutive frames. The project has spent 61 spans somewhere on the 50-spot tally, with well over half of those appearances at No. 1. Rumours, by comparison, has spent a significantly longer period of time on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart, but far fewer frames at No. 1. Last time around, it jumped from fourth place to the summit, earning just its fourth-ever turn in the spotlight. Considering the fact that Rumours has lived on the multi-genre albums tally for more than 400 weeks, it's somewhat surprising that the set has only claimed the top spot for a few moments — and also that it is still competing with some of today's hottest releases. Billie Eilish and Fleetwood Mac Both Rule Both Hit Me Hard and Soft and Rumours lead different Billboard charts this frame. As Eilish conquers the Top Rock & Alternative Albums list, she also sits at No. 1 on the Top Alternative Albums chart, where Hit Me Hard and Soft is unmoved. Rumours, meanwhile, dominates the Top Rock Albums tally once more. The two behemoths can also be found on the Top Album Sales, Top Streaming Albums, and Vinyl Albums charts as well.

Post Malone Claims A New Longest-Charting Hit

Post Malone's 'I Had Some Help' with Morgan Wallen becomes his longest-charting Hot 100 hit at 62 ... More weeks, passing 'Circles' by one frame. LONDON, ENGLAND - JULY 06: (EDITORIAL USE ONLY) Post Malone performs during Wireless Festival 2018 at Finsbury Park on July 6th, 2018 in London, England. (Photo by Lorne Thomson/Redferns) For years, Post Malone found incredible success in the music industry by switching genres. He first emerged as an exciting new name in the hip-hop space, collecting multiple diamond-certified smashes. He then pivoted again and conquered the charts once more with pop hits that are still played on the radio today. Most artists struggle to score several wins in one field, let alone several, but the Grammy nominee is an outlier, as he's not afraid to mix things up, and his fan base is along for the ride. His biggest hit of all – one which reaches an important number this week – is the one that helped him jump into the country space, which made quite the splash upon its arrival. "I Had Some Help" Becomes Post Malone's Biggest Hot 100 Hit When Malone was preparing to release his first country album F-1 Trillion, he fronted the project with a superstar collaboration alongside Morgan Wallen. Malone dropped "I Had Some Help" in mid-2024, and the tune was an immediate smash. That track now becomes Malone's longest-running hit on the Hot 100 as it earns its sixty-second stay on the tally. "I Had Some Help" Beats 'Circles' "I Had Some Help" was tied last week as Malone's longest-charting Hot 100 single, matching "Circles" with 61 frames on the list. Now, the duet pushes past the pop favorite, and it's not likely to disappear anytime soon. "I Had Some Help" is still present inside the top 20 on the Hot 100 this week, dipping from No. 14 to No. 19. The tune could rebound, after several newer arrivals begin to descend or disappear entirely, and it seems likely that the collaboration will further its lead over Malone's own "Circles" and continue its reign as his longest-running hit for some time. Morgan Wallen Nearly Matches the Same Feat The same single is also tied as Wallen's longest-charting Hot 100 success story, matching the 62 weeks that "You Proof" managed a few years back. In just a few days, when Billboard publishes its rankings again, it's likely that Wallen will see "I Had Some Help" beat "You Proof" for good.

Taylor Swift's Country Roots Are Showing On The Charts

Taylor Swift's Speak Now (Taylor's Version) and her self-titled debut reenter Billboard's Top ... More Country Albums chart as fans revisit her early country days. LONDON, ENGLAND - FEBRUARY 20: Taylor Swift performs on stage The BRIT Awards 2013 at The O2, on February 20, 2013 in London, England. (Photo by JM Enternational/Redferns) There are rumors that Taylor Swift is working on a new album — possibly another massive pop collection. For now, the singer, her team, and her label are remaining mum on the subject, as is typically the case, as the world will hear from her when she's good and ready. As millions prepare for what may be another major pop moment, Swift's country roots are once again visible on the Billboard charts as fans revisit some of the earliest tunes in her discography, cuts and projects that helped turn her into the household name she is today. Two Swift Titles Return to the Top Country Albums Chart Swift fills two spaces on the Top Country Albums chart this week. Both of her titles return to Billboard's ranking of the most consumed country collections in the United States after being absent just last frame. Speak Now (Taylor's Version) reenters the tally at No. 48, while her self-titled debut project is back at No. 50, landing in the lowest rung on the roster. A Look Back at Taylor Swift's Country Beginnings Swift began her career with her self-titled effort, which dropped in 2006. That set — released when she was still just a teenager — produced hits like "Our Song" and "Teardrops on My Guitar" and quickly turned her into a household name. Speak Now (Taylor's Version) arrived in the summer of 2023 as part of her ongoing re-recording series, which may now be over. The updated take on Speak Now came 13 years after the original and featured slight reworkings, as well as previously unreleased tracks. Chart-Topping Success With Country Titles Taylor Swift and Speak Now (Taylor's Version) rank among the singer's eight No. 1s on the Top Country Albums chart. She's only missed the top spot with two projects, and one of them peaked at No. 2. Her self-titled full-length spent 24 weeks ruling the list, while Speak Now (Taylor's Version) managed only a pair of frames in first place. The original Speak Now, however, held on for a lucky 13 stays — her favorite number. Vinyl and Sales Charts At the moment, Speak Now (Taylor's Version) can only be found on the Top Country Albums chart, while Swift's self-titled effort is rising across multiple rankings this week. The full-length that started it all lifts to No. 14 on the Vinyl Albums roster and jumps 20 spots to No. 25 on the Top Album Sales list.
