In a video shared on her Instagram on July 29, the author and public speaker — who announced her split from the Party of Five star last month — documented her attempts to enter the Park City, Utah home with police present.
Before arriving at the home, Kelley, 48, said she was 'under the impression that I have done everything humanly possible to retrieve some basic items from my home."
'I'm currently about to meet up with a deputy of Summit County who's going to escort me into my home so I can get some money that I have saved,' she claimed, later adding, 'I have just had enough... I'm sick of being treated like I'm crazy."

As she exited her car to meet the officers, she expressed that she was unhappy with the public perception of what was happening.
'I have a sassy attitude, my God, but being called things like grandiose, bipolar, schizophrenic, crazy, being banned from places I've been forever is just rude, honestly,' she said.
She added that there was a no longer active restraining order as well as 'two involuntary holds.'
'I have to now prove myself and [I] did nothing except ask for a divorce,' she shared as she attempted to enter a security code at the front door. 'I'm sure y'all have seen this before, but wrong lady, because I don't back down.'
As she attempted to gain entry through the garage, she recalled her father's advice, saying, 'My dad taught me [to] keep cash. You know, just keep cash. And since I now owe a lot of lovely people a lot of money back, I've never asked for $1 in my life.'
Though the garage door opened, she wasn't able to get inside the home. She then claimed she wanted to file for divorce before her estranged husband.
'I just want to get a few things… I tried to do this as peacefully [possible],' she alleged. 'I've called you guys eight times in January saying I didn't feel safe, but [Scott] beat me to the punch. Apparently, I tried to file, but if somebody files before you, they can do a lot of weird stuff.'
As she continued to try to find a way into the home, she opened about the toll of being in the public eye.
'We're both famous, just that's the part that sucks…' she said. 'It's embarrassing.'
She removed a window screen and attempted to push another window open as the officers called Scott, who did not answer. The video concluded with her saying that she would be 'be right back."
In response to the video, her 16-year-old son Jackson wrote in the comment section, 'This is insane mom what are you doing.'
PEOPLE has reached out to Scott's rep and attorneys for comment.
Police have since confirmed that they were present for the situation in a statement to PEOPLE.
A spokesperson from the Summit County Sheriff's Office confirms to PEOPLE that they responded to a 'keep the peace' call on the morning of July 29.
'The original call came in at 7:53 in the morning," the spokesperson says. "The deputy did not meet with them at the residence until 9:45, and the deputy advised that the complainant had left the scene at 11:34.'
Police confirm that Kelley indicated she "needed to gather items at the house" and escorted her around as she tried several ways to enter the home. However, Kelley was unsuccessful in her attempts as the spokesperson says, "It appeared that the locks on the house had been changed."
Per officials, Kelley 'made some phone calls to family, had some conversations with family [but] still wasn't able to gain access into the house and ultimately left.' She "never made contact with anyone" that might have been in the house and it is not known whether anyone was home at the time.
"We didn't have any contact with anyone [who might have been at the residence]. But we were never inside either," the spokesperson says. "We wouldn't know definitively, but we have no reason to believe that there was anyone there."
The spokesperson also adds: "The complainant did mention that there was a court order in place. As a standard procedure in these types of cases, our deputy did search for any types of orders that would bar or prohibit the complainant from being at the residence, and they were unable to locate any existing orders."
The video comes nearly two weeks after Scott's restraining order against her was dismissed on July 19 amid ongoing divorce proceedings.
According to court documents reviewed by PEOPLE, the July 15 temporary stipulated agreement includes provisions around custody, a temporary restraining order, visitation, finances and communication.
The 57-year-old actor was granted temporary sole physical custody of their three children Jackson as well as Miller, 12; and Lucy, 11, while Kelley was granted "liberal" supervised visitation with her children.
Kelley was allowed supervised parenting time as coordinated by counsel, and three supervised video or phone calls per week with the children during reasonable waking hours. If the court-appointed guardian raises concerns, all parties must reevaluate whether supervision remains necessary. Kelley is also allowed to respond if the children initiate additional contact.
The agreement also included a social media gag order too. Neither party may post about one another, their marriage, children or the divorce, nor allow any third party to do so.
The ultimate goal, the agreement claimed, is for Kelley to eventually regain unsupervised parenting time.

Dog Who Won't Let Owners Hug Without Him Melts Hearts

Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A borzoi dog has melted hearts on social media after a video of the canine trying to squeeze into all of their owner's hugs went viral. The heartwarming post shared on Instagram on Monday under the username @oliversophiezoi shows a series of clips of the pup trying to get included in each of their owners' hugs. "Soulmated so hard our dog must join in every hug," reads layover text in the clip. The caption says: "What in the world did we do to deserve dogs?!?" While the pup in the clip is clearly asking to be hugged, most dogs actually do not enjoy this type of physical affection. Vet Help Direct says that, for dogs, being hugged can feel like restraint, triggering a "fight or flight" response due to the stress it causes them. Dogs may feel trapped in a hug, and this can lead to defensive biting—often to the face, especially when the hug involves close contact. This risk makes it particularly important to teach children not to hug or physically restrain dogs. A study on canine stress signals found that about 81 percent of dogs showed signs of discomfort during a hug, such as turning their heads away, freezing, licking lips, yawning, flattening ears, or exposing the whites of their eyes. Only 8 percent of pups seemed to enjoy the hug, while 11 percent appeared indifferent to it. Personality and past experiences also play a role; in fact, dogs with a history of anxiety or poor socialization may react more negatively than others. Despite their dislike for hugging, canines do enjoy affection on their own terms. Many pups like being petted, or snuggling with their owners, as long as they are free to move away. Observing their body language is key to understanding their comfort levels. Stock image: A big, white dog joins in a couple's hug. One user, Atlasfluffle, commented: "I agree. Parents are not allowed to hug without me." posted: "Our Azalea the same, no hugs without zoi! It's a sacred rule." Katy Perry, Justin Trudeau fuel romance buzz with Montreal tour stop appearance

Katy Perry has a new fan in Justin Trudeau. Days after the pair were spotted dining together, the former Canadian prime minister attended the "Teenage Dream" crooner's sold-out concert in Canada on Wednesday. In various photos and videos posted to social media, Trudeau – who was accompanied by his 16-year-old daughter, Ella-Grace – was seen beaming as he watched Perry entertain the crowd at Montreal's Bell Centre. In another video, Trudeau was seen singing along to Perry's 2013 hit, "Dark Horse." "This is genuinely the happiest he's been in a while," one fan wrote on X. "World leader by day, teenage dreamer by night," another wrote. A representative for Perry did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment. Earlier this week, the pair were spotted dining together at Le Violon in Montreal, Canada, per footage obtained by TMZ. An eyewitness told the outlet that the pair enjoyed cocktails and shared several dishes together, including one with lobster. Security guards reportedly watched the duo while they dined, and after dinner, they allegedly walked into the kitchen to thank the staff for their meal. The new rumored romance comes after her recent split from Orlando Bloom - with whom she shares a 4-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove. Perry and her former fiancé confirmed their break-up earlier this month after more than a decade together. "Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry's relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting," a representative for the former couple told People. "They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect." Earlier this month, a source told People that both Perry and Bloom had been living "on an island of stress" for months. "Katy and Orlando have been suffering through the same problems that have plagued them for years," the source said. "[They had] too much going on in their lives, which makes it hard to find time for each other and iron out disagreements. When they don't communicate properly, their relationship dips to a low level." "Sometimes love isn't enough to keep two people with different styles and outlooks on how things are done [together]," another source told the outlet. "It can overshadow the love." Trudeau and his ex-wife Sophie separated in 2023 after an 18-year marriage. Fox News Digital's Tracy Wright contributed to this post.
