Escorts Kubota shares rise nearly 5% as Q1 net profit from continuing operations jumps 40% YoY

The stock gained Rs 159 from the previous close of Rs 3,289.50, with a market capitalization reaching Rs 3.78 lakh crore. The rally came after the company reported a 40% year-on-year (YoY) jump in consolidated net profit from continuing operations at Rs 369.47 crore, compared to Rs 264.36 crore in Q1 FY25. On a sequential basis, net profit also rose from Rs 271.62 crore in Q4 FY25. Revenue from operations stood at Rs 2,500.05 crore for Q1 FY26, slightly lower than Rs 2,573.73 crore in the same quarter last year. However, improved cost management and a sharp reduction in finance and employee costs helped boost bottom-line growth. Profit before tax from continuing operations rose to Rs 489.93 crore from Rs 348.02 crore in the year-ago quarter, while total tax expenses increased to Rs 120.46 crore. Escorts Kubota's earnings performance pushed the stock among the top gainers on NSE during the trading session. Deep Industries shares jump over 8% after Q1 net profit surges 60% YoY

The stock opened strong and touched an intraday high of Rs 520, compared to a previous close of Rs 481.95. At current levels, the company commands a market capitalization of Rs 33,290 crore. Deep Industries reported a 61.5% year-on-year (YoY) jump in consolidated revenue from operations at Rs 199.5 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, up from Rs 123.45 crore in the same period last year. The company also posted a 60% YoY increase in net profit, which came in at Rs 61.7 crore, as against Rs 38.7 crore in Q1 FY25. Total income stood at Rs 212.93 crore during the quarter, bolstered by other income of Rs 13.43 crore. Profit before tax surged to Rs 77.85 crore, and total expenses rose to Rs 135.07 crore from Rs 85.20 crore in the year-ago period. The strong earnings performance has positioned Deep Industries among the top gainers on NSE today, as investors reacted positively to the company's operational growth and profitability improvement.
