Bronny James shares his honest take on the upcoming NBA season with Los Angeles Lakers
LeBron James' son, Bronny James, was drafted by Los Angeles Lakers back in the 2024 NBA draft on the overall 55th position. Watching him play alongside his dad, LeBron James, has been almost every Lakers fan's dream. Recently, Bronny gave an honest take on the upcoming NBA season with the Los Angeles Lakers. He said,
"It's definitely made me think about being more aggressive on that end of the floor, but I can't lose that defensive drive that will get me on the floor because there's gonna be guys that can score 15, 20 a game."
While talking about his defensive side, Bronny James further elaborated—
"I'm most likely not going to be that guy right now. To get myself on the floor, I've got to be a defensive menace. That's my main focus, getting conditioned this year. It's been shown that I know how to score the ball a little bit, I'm staying true to that, but also focusing on the defensive end."
Bronny James very well understands the importance of his performance in the Lakers and the expectations and pressure that is building around him. Undoubtedly, he would be compared to his legendary father. After having an extensive stint in the G-League, he went on to appear in only 27 games as a rookie for the Lakers. His passion for polishing his defense side as a shooter is sure to bring out the best in him.

IND vs ENG, 2nd Test: 'They can't win' - Former England captain pleads Ben Stokes and co to bat for draw
BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND - JULY 05: Harry Brook of England avoids a short ball from Akash Deep of India during day four of the 2nd Rothesay Test Match between England and India at Edgbaston on July 05, 2025 in Birmingham, England. (Photo by) Former England captain Michael Vaughan has pleaded with Ben Stokes and co to play for a draw on the final day as they can't win the Edgbaston Test from this position. "They can't win this game," Vaughan told BBC Cricket. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! "India have completely dominated the Test match with brilliant skill, great discipline. It's exactly what I want to see from England tomorrow. In a funny kind of way, this day has been coming where the Bazballers can't arrive on day five and even think about winning. "Have they got the ticker, the skill set, and the determination to try and get a draw? The next best thing from winning a Test match is getting a draw. If they just kind of give it away and just say, oh, you know, the way that we play, we're always on the front foot playing aggressively, they'll get bowled out quickly tomorrow. Have they got the skill set and the mindset to try and bat the full day and get on the bus to Lord's with a draw? We'll wait and see. " Vaughan pointed out that in the 34 Tests under Stokes' captaincy, England have drawn only once — a rain-affected game — while winning 21 and losing 12. He argued that to succeed in major series, especially against top sides like India or in Australia, England's mindset needs to shift. 'Bazball's going to get asked the ultimate question tomorrow. Are the team and the players going to go completely against what their natural instincts are to do? You've got to get what's best on offer. And what's best on offer at the minute is a draw,' Vaughan said on Test Match Special. India Dominate Day 4! Siraj & Akash Deep Rattle England 'If you want to win the big series against the likes of India at home in five matches and you want to go to Australia, I think it's impossible to have a mindset that we just win, that's all we go for. We don't play for draws. "A draw for England from this position, and I hope they get it more in a way of kind of success, if they can get away from here with a draw, it's almost better than last week's win because it's completely against their natural trade.' IND vs ENG, 2nd Test: Rishabh Pant silences Harry Brook's ‘fastest 100' quip
India's Rishabh Pant celebrates after scoring fifty runs day four of the second cricket test match between England and India at Edgbaston in Birmingham, England, Saturday, July 5, 2025. (AP Photo/Scott Heppell) On Saturday, England found themselves on the receiving end of a relentless Indian batting display in the second innings at Edgbaston, which led Harry Brook to resort to mind games in an effort to disrupt Rishabh Pant 's rhythm during his quickfire half-century. Rishabh Pant was bringing the chaos at Edgbaston, and between deliveries, Brook tried to provoke Pant with a pointed question. 'What's your fastest hundred?' he asked, hoping to plant a seed of recklessness in Pant's mind. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! Pant answered calmly, 'In Test cricket, maybe 80–90 minutes,' referencing the steady pace of his previous centuries. Not content to leave it there, Brook cheekily brought up his own record-breaking knock in the IPL. 'The fastest hundred I've hit was in 55 balls—you could do that today,' he teased, attempting to prod Pant into playing rash shots. Pant, however, remained unfazed and refused to take the bait. 'It's okay. I'm not too greedy for records. If it happens, it happens,' he replied with a composed smile, shutting down the sledging with quiet confidence. After scoring 25 in the first innings, Pant delivered an entertaining, counter-attacking and crucial 65 in 58 balls, with eight fours and three sixes.
