Perak deputy police chief DCP Zulkafli Sariaat said that as a result, the accused, Rudi Zulkarnain Md Radi, 45, will remain in custody at the Batu Gajah lock-up until the next court mention date on June 17.
'Bail for the lorry driver was set at RM6,000, and he has been unable to pay. We have also not received any payment from others so far,' he told reporters after visiting Hospital Teluk Intan today.

Rampaging Driver Ploughs Into Four Vehicles In George Town
GEORGE TOWN, July 26 (Bernama) -- A driver on rampage collided with four vehicles before he himself was hospitalised along with five others after leaving a trail of four vehicles smashed which he ploughed into with a Proton X70. Five people were seriously injured, with one slightly hurt, in the road rampage which hit four vehicles at three locations along Jalan Perak and the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway here last night. Northeast district police chief ACP Abdul Rozak Muhammad said in the 8.30 pm incident, the Proton X70 driven by the 50-year-old man hit the back of a Perodua Myvi driven by a 44-year-old woman at the Jalan Perak traffic light junction.

No Application Required For One-off RM100 SARA Aid
SEMPORNA, July 26 (Bernama) -- The Finance Ministry (MOF) has issued a reminder that the one-off RM100 Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) cash aid on Aug 31 did not require any application and will be directly credited into each recipient's identification card. Deputy Treasury secretary-general (Policy) Datuk Zamzuri Abdul Aziz said the cash aid did not utlise any e-Wallet service as well. "As such, the public is urged to avoid being deceived by any scam claiming that they can assist with applications or providing links to any e-Wallet,' he told reporters after inspecting the Rahmah Cash Aid programme in Pulau Bum Bum here today.
