's former aide and MAGA star Steve Bannon Saturday said 'the party is on' and it's another weekend in this unfolding aspect of the third world war. "I'm just reporting what I'm hearing from pretty good sources," Bannon said while several B-1 bombers moved to Guam.
It was not known whether the bomber deployment was connected to Middle East tensions.
The B-2 can be equipped to carry America's 30,000-pound GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator, designed to destroy targets deep underground. One official said no forward orders had been given yet to move the bombers beyond Guam. They did not say how many B-2 bombers are being moved.
Experts are now closely watching whether the B-2 bombers will move forward to a US-British military base on the Indian Ocean island of Diego Garcia, which is an ideal position to operate in the Middle East.
'Steve Bannon playing outsized role in Trump's Iran decision'
According to an ABC News report, Steve Bannon sat down for lunch with Donald Trump Thursday as Bannon has been playing an outsized role in Trump's Iran decisions. Before Thursday, Trump reportedly approved a plan on how the US might attack an Iranian nuclear facility.
The USS Nimitz – an aircraft carrier that can carry some 60 fighter jets – was set to arrive in the Middle East by the weekend with several smaller ships by its side.

Officials said the extraordinary show of force would be needed if Trump pulled the trigger on the military option, both to strike Iran's nuclear facility and to protect the some 40,000 US troops.
Bannon was the chief strategist to Trump during his first administration and now on the Israel-Iran issue, Bannon sides against authorizing military action against Iran. Bannon believes that Israelis have to finish what they started. 'We can't do this again. We'll tear the country apart. We can't have another Iraq.' Bannon, however, said he is aligned with the White House on the issue.

Donald Trump set to launch America's 250th birthday bash in Iowa heartland

President Trump is all set to launch America's yearlong 250th birthday celebration Thursday at Iowa's State Fairgrounds, a location rich with political meaning for him. This spot hosted his first 2015 campaign helicopter arrival and 2023 rally, cementing Iowa's role in his rise. Organizers chose Iowa as "America's heartland" to symbolize national unity, though the state backed Trump in the elections always. The event featured Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA," fireworks, and Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins alongside Homeland Security's Kristi Noem. Trump timed it perfectly: Hours earlier, the House narrowly passed his $3.4 trillion tax-and-spending bill, letting him tout policy wins before cheering crowds. America250 organizers hope the festivities bridge America's deep divides, but face steep challenges. Recent polls reveal a massive patriotism gap: 90% of Republicans say they're "proud to be American" versus just 33% of Democrats. Trump's approval rating sits at 40% amid criticism of his policies, including June's military parade that most Americans deemed wasteful. Even celebration funding is contentious: Federal humanities grants were cut, forcing cancellations of local programs like Declaration of Independence readings in Illinois. Iowa Democrats protested Trump's visit, warning his new law's Medicaid cuts will "devastate rural hospitals" and create "longer waits for care" . State fairgrounds fences separated supporters from protesters during the event. While Iowa launches the festivities, the main "Great American State Fair" will unfold on Washington's National Mall in 2026 with pavilions from all 50 states. Trump first pitched this fair during his 2023 campaign, envisioning it in Iowa, but planners shifted it to the capital for broader impact. Yearlong events include student contests answering "What does America mean to you?", a traveling tech exhibit, and a national time capsule buried in Philadelphia. Despite nonpartisan origins, Trump allies now dominate the planning commission, including producers of his rallies and a former "Stop the Steal" organizer. Conservative groups like PragerU are creating educational materials, prompting concerns about ideological framing of history. As fireworks lit the Iowa sky, the question remained: Can this celebration unite a nation where even pride in country splits along party lines?

1 2 3 4 Jaipur: Ending weeks of speculation and interim leadership in state police, the Rajasthan govt Thursday appointed senior IPS officer Rajeev Kumar Sharma as the new Director General of Police (DGP). The 1990-batch officer of Rajasthan cadre assumed charge in the evening and was accorded a ceremonial guard of honour at the police headquarters here. Sharma's appointment follows his premature repatriation from central deputation, where he served as the Director General of Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD) in New Delhi. His return fills the leadership void created after former DGP UR Sahoo was appointed Rajasthan Public Service Commission chairperson on June 10 and the brief interim charge of the state police force held by DG (ACB) Ravi Prakash Meharda, who retired on June 30. In a formal order, the Department of Personnel announced that Sharma will serve as the head of state police for a period of two years, irrespective of his age of superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He has also been placed in the apex pay scale (Level 17) with a fixed monthly salary of Rs 2.25 lakh. Speaking the media shortly after taking charge, Sharma expressed gratitude to the state leadership, saying, "I thank the Chief Minister and the state govt for the trust they have placed in me." by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trending in in 2025: Local network access control [Click Here] Esseps Learn More Undo Emphasising his commitment to public service, he said, "I will fulfil this opportunity to serve the people with utmost dedication and sincerity."
