The Nerazzurri have already made an offer to Atalanta for Lookman.
La Dea have rejected the initial bid, which Inter have not yet increased. However, the player himself reportedly wants to join.
Widespread reports indicate that Inter's first offer to Atalanta was for €40 million.
Atalanta, on the other hand, are reportedly holding out for around €50 million.

According to SportMediaset, Inter are ready to raise their offer. They feel that it will not be difficult to finalize an agreement with Atalanta quickly.
However, the Nerazzurri must first find the cash to do so through a few sales.
Inter have already sold Aleksandar Stankovic to Club Brugge for around €10 million. Meanwhile, Tajon Buchanan will soon join Villarreal for around €9 million.
These will be notable steps towards a deal for Lookman.
However, Mediaset report, Inter are still aiming to make one or two more sales before finalizing an agreement with Atalanta. Mehdi Taremi could be among them.

Darwin Nunez future takes fresh twist as new club make Liverpool star top summer transfer target

Nunez on AC Milan's radar Rossoneri favour Liverpool striker Al-Hilal hold rival interest Follow GOAL on WhatsApp! 🟢📱 WHAT HAPPENED? According to Sky in Italy, AC Milan "will make a serious attempt" to equip returning head coach Massimiliano Allegri with a new striker, with an effort to sign Nunez from Liverpool already made. For sporting director Igli Tare, the Uruguayan is considered the number one target from a list that also includes Dusan Vlahovic, Rasmus Hojlund and Arnaud Kalimuendo. THE BIGGER PICTURE Contact with Nunez's camp is said to have been made, but negotiations remain "complicated". There is rival interest from Saudi Pro League giants and Club World Cup quarter-finalists Al-Hilal, who are yet to make a formal offer. DID YOU KNOW? Milan's three centre forward from last season - Luka Jovic, Tammy Abraham, Santiago Gimenez - managed only 10 Serie A goals between then, with Gimenez the only one still at the club. A more prolific number nine is required and, at his previous best, Nunez netted 26 goals in 28 Primeira Liga games for Benfica during a breakout 2021-22 campaign in Portgual. WHAT NEXT? Nunez has been linked with Atletico Madrid, Napoli and Al-Nassr already this summer, with nothing ultimately materialising. Milan's finances might not stretch to Liverpool's reported €60 million (£52m/$70m) asking price, which is perhaps why negotiations aren't straightforward for the Rossoneri. Al-Hilal might have a better chance in that sense, if Nunez can be persuaded to leave Europe, but leaving Liverpool in some capacity is in his best interests unless he wants to spend a season on the bench behind Hugo Ekitike, and possibly Alexander Isak too.

Liverpool close in on SPECTACULAR €78m deal

Liverpool are now close to securing a massive deal. It isn't their first of the summer and it won't be the last. Liverpool have struck some of the biggest deals anywhere this summer. Florian Wirtz arrived for a club-record amount, of course, while Hugo Ekitike wasn't too far behind that. Shop the LFC Store LFC Kits Shop Now LFC x New Era Shop Now LFC Signed Merch Shop Now LFC x Titleist Shop Now Both full-back positions have record signings, too. Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong are now the most Liverpool have spent at left-back and right-back, respectively. It's been an unprecedented summer of deals for the Reds, who have moved massively to upgrade their title-winning team. What we haven't really seen yet, though, are moves in the other direction. Trent Alexander-Arnold left quickly to join Real Madrid, with Los Blancos paying a small fee for the last month of his contract. Caoimhin Kelleher and Jarell Quansah have both moved on, too, though neither were first-team regulars last season. But those regulars do have to depart - Liverpool must make room for the arrivals, after all. Now it seems like that is in fact happening as the Reds close in on a major sale. Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich Sky Sports reports that Bayer Munich and Liverpool are now very close to sealing a deal for Luis Diaz. Bayern will pay around €79m for the Colombian. That's essentially what Liverpool wanted as an asking price this summer. €80m was the quoted figure and while Bayern have avoided putting up that much, they're awfully close. Liverpool were always going to be open to selling Diaz for the right price given he's in the final two years of his contract. It's taken some time to get there - both Bayern and Barcelona saw offers rejected - but it appears an agreement is here.
