Tyrese Haliburton didn't let a torn Achilles prevent an epic engagement photo
The Pacers star and longtime girlfriend Jade Jones announced their engagement on Monday, and Haliburton traced his proposal back to where they met at Iowa State.
In a photo on the court of Hilton Coliseum, Haliburton dropped to a knee in front of a huge "Will you marry me" sign. We could see as Haliburton was wearing a walking boot and got off a knee scooter to pop the question.
Seriously, a roller scooter has never looked cooler.
Congrats to them both.

Millions of Miami Heat memorabilia stolen in alleged heist
The Miami Heat reportedly lost priceless memorabilia in an alleged heist. NBA analyst Amin Elhassan told the Dan LeBatard Show Monday (July 29) described the incident was "perhaps one of the largest heists of this kind," in which millions of Miami Heat merchandise were stolen. "This one concerns memorabilia. Authenticated memorabilia stolen from the Miami Heat, and sold for many, many, many, many, many millions of dollars," Elhassan said per a Sports Illustrated report. According to Elhassan, he claims that not just one person is behind this heist and that they had insider knowledge. "It was described to me, this is one of the largest, if not the largest, memorabilia heist in the history of this country in any sport," Elhassan continued. "Some of the people involved include a Miami police officer and someone with ties to the NBA." Elhassan went on to explain that key players' jerseys, such as LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Shaquille O'Neal, and Chris Bosh, could have been sold on both the regular and black markets. However, it hasn't been confirmed which, if any, of those players' jerseys were sold. Timless pieces, such as NBA Finals jerseys, were also among those stolen, according to the NBA analyst. "Game worn [NBA] Finals stuff, and this person was taking them and selling them both within the regular market and within the black market," Elhassan said. "What red flagged within the memorabilia committee is you never see people with this much stuff, right? You might get a game-worn jersey, but to get, like, a game worn, full set, NBA Finals for multiple players?" The Miami Heat went to the NBA Finals seven times: 2006, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2020, and 2023. The franchise has won three times overall in 2006, 2012, and 2013. It's unclear if the incident is under investigation at this time or when it exactly occurred. Texans rookie receive their first Madden ratings
Are you someone who cares about rookie Madden ratings? Do you think that the transition from the video game will serve as a metric standpoint to where a player performs during the regular season? Is there any correlation between a Houston Texans rookie in practice and what they do on All-Pro mode on Xbox Live? If so, there's no hope for you learning the game of football, but you could become the greatest head coach the Texans have ever seen in virtual form, especially if the rookies become MVPs after one campaign in live mode. All nine Texans players received their rankings for Madden 26, which were released to the public on Wednesday morning. Iowa State wide receiver Jayden Higgins was the highest with a 74 overall ranking, followed by offensive tackle Tay Ersery (73) and Jaylin Noel (72) to round out the top three. Here's a list of all nine players and where they rank heading into the regular season. The Texans return to training camp practice on Friday morning.

Sixers rookie VJ Edgecombe reveals who he patterns his game after
Philadelphia 76ers rookie VJ Edgecombe, selected No. 3 overall in the 2025 draft, is looking to make an impact in the City of Brotherly Love right away. He has the athleticism, defensive skills, and finishing ability on offense to where he can produce at a high level right away. Even though he only played two games in the summer league as he was limited to a left thumb sprain, he showed what he is able to do at a high level. Edgecombe showed off an ability to get to the basket--and the free-throw line--as well as make an impact on the glass and to be able to produce on both ends of the floor. He looks like a two-way player right away. On the latest episode of "Podcast P with Paul George", Edgecombe spoke with his new teammate about the players he patterns his game after: (Victor) Oladipo when he was with the Pacers. D-Wade (Dwyane Wade). I watch, like, currently in the league, I watch a lot of Ant (Anthony Edwards). I watch a lot of Ant, but I watch everybody for real. Like, I watch defensive clips. I'm watching Jrue Holiday, Derrick White. Like, I'm watching them! Just trying to learn both ends of the floor. So, yeah, they're amazing. If Edgecombe is watching guys like Oladipo and Wade--which, by the way, was the exact NBA comparisons Sixers Wire made for Edgecombe--then he is going to be in a great position. It's obvious that he wants to learn and be a great player in this league and watching and learning from some of the game's greats is only going to help him move forward as a young player in this league.
