Darwinbox Completes 3rd ESOP Buyback in 4 Years, Reinforcing Commitment to Share Success with Employees
Darwinbox, a leading global provider of AI-powered HR technology, has successfully completed an INR 86 crore Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) buyback, the third such program in just four years. Over 350 employees spread across the company's 11 global offices in India, North America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, benefited from this buyback round.
This marks Darwinbox's third buyback in just four years, reflecting the company's continued commitment to rewarding the people behind its growth and building shared success as it scales globally.
'At Darwinbox, we've always believed that those who help build value should share in it. Even as we invest deeply in innovation and global growth, we remain equally committed to creating meaningful outcomes for our people. This buyback, like the ones before, reflects our belief in sharing success with our people and building a culture of ownership,' said Jayant Paleti, Co-founder, Darwinbox.
'Talent has always been at the heart of what we do at Darwinbox, and we've been intentional about ensuring they grow with the company—not just in impact, but also in wealth creation. Some of the best minds from the industry have joined us to help shape the future of work. As we double down on R&D to power an AI-first world, we're excited to welcome great talent on this journey,' said Chaitanya Peddi, Co-founder at Darwinbox.
In March 2025, Darwinbox added global private equity giants Partners Group and KKR to its cap table through a $140 million deal—further strengthening its position to lead on two critical fronts: deep technology innovation and global market expansion.
That momentum is evident in a series of breakthrough AI product launches. Darwinbox recently became the first-ever HCM platform globally to launch an MCP (Model Context Protocol) Server, enabling any compatible AI agent to interact securely with HR data and workflows on the platform. The company's GenAI engine, Darwinbox Sense, now delivers over 40+ embedded AI capabilities, driving smarter decisions and elevated experiences. Darwinbox also recently rolled out a multi-country payroll solution across 10 new geographies within the last year, solidifying its capability to serve complex global organizations.
Darwinbox powers modern HR technology experiences for over 4 million employees across 1000+ enterprises, from large conglomerates to high-growth tech companies. Brands like Starbucks, McDonald's, AXA, Cigna, WeWork, Airtel, and Vedanta trust the platform to power their people strategies at scale.
The trust of its customers is paralleled by analyst recognition. Darwinbox has been named a Customers' Choice on Gartner Peer Insights for four years in a row. It is also the youngest and only Asian company to be recognized as a Challenger in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cloud HCM Suites for enterprises with over 1,000 employees, validating its growing global influence in a space long dominated by legacy players.

Refresco CEO Hans Roelofs to step down after 18-year tenure
Refresco CEO Hans Roelofs will step down in August, concluding an 18-year tenure with the Netherlands-based drinks manufacturer. In a statement issued yesterday (26 June), Refresco, majority-owned by private-equity firm KKR, said it had started a search for a new chief executive. Refresco supervisory board chairman and KKR partner James Cunningham thanked Roelofs for "positioning Refresco for continued success in the years to come as we continue to expand the company's footprint'. Roelofs joined Refresco in 2007 after spells at meat group Dumeco and agri-food business Nutreco. Through M&A and organic growth, Refresco is now a company with operations in 13 countries. The business has 75 manufacturing sites and employs more than 14,000 staff. KKR invested in the group in 2022. Reflecting on his decision to retire, Roelofs said: 'This is the right time for me to step back, confident that the company will continue to grow and thrive on its unique entrepreneurial spirit and the agility of its people.' In 2024, Refresco generated revenue of €5.99bn ($x), up 1% on a year earlier. The volume of drinks sold stood at 13.83bn litres, down from 14.25bn litres in 2023. Some 26% of the company's volumes were carbonated soft drinks, with another 26% generated through water products. Sport and energy drinks accounted for 15%. Earlier this month, Refresco agreed to acquire Norway-based soft-drinks manufacturer Telemark Kildevann (TKV). TKV operates two production facilities in the Norwegian towns of Fyresdal and Aurskog and supplies products to retailers and branded customers in Norway and Sweden. Last year, Refresco snapped up Spanish plant-based beverage maker Frías Nutrición, purchased a production site from German beverage group Berentzen-Gruppe and bought US-based VBC Bottling Company, a fellow contract manufacturer. In May last year, Rotterdam-based Refresco opened its first European plant-based production line in Germany, marking an entry into the oat drinks' market. As part of the deal for the Berentzen-Gruppe facility, Refresco also bought the mineral-water brands Märkisch Kristall and Grüneberg Quelle. Commending Roelofs' leadership, Refresco supervisory board member and PAI managing partner Frédéric Stévenin said: 'Refresco went through a period of unprecedented growth and transformation." As Salesforce continues to double down on innovation, is now the moment to lean in, or should investors stay on the sidelines, buckled in for the next move? Incorporated in 1999, San Francisco-based Salesforce (CRM) is a leading global provider of cloud-based CRM software. Its market cap stands at $191.7 billion, reflecting its status as one of the most valuable enterprise software companies globally. With its comprehensive platform, innovative technology, and scalable business model, Salesforce remains at the forefront of enterprise digital transformation. Salesforce's shares have struggled in 2025, declining 19.9% on a YTD basis, largely due to investor worries over the timing and profitability of its ambitious AI push. Moreover, cautious enterprise spending amid macroeconomic uncertainty and competition from established cloud providers has contributed to the decline. Still, zoom out, and it's up 11% over the past 52 weeks, a reminder of its longer-term resilience. Salesforce kicked off its fiscal 2026, releasing a solid Q1 earnings report on May 28, generating $9.8 billion in revenue, up 8% year over year and edging past the Street's expectations. Subscription and support revenues mirrored this growth, also climbing 8%, while the company's remaining performance obligations stood at $29.6 billion, signaling solid future bookings. Profitability metrics were robust, with non-GAAP operating margin hitting 32.3%. Operating cash flow and free cash flow each rose 4% annually, totaling $6.5 billion and $6.3 billion, respectively. On the earnings front, non-GAAP EPS amounted to $2.58, up from $2.44 a year ago and exceeding projections. AI and data continued to power momentum as annual recurring revenue from Data Cloud and AI surpassed $1 billion, growing over 120% YoY, and nearly 60% of the top 100 deals included AI and Data Cloud solutions. The Agentforce platform has closed more than 8,000 deals since its introduction, of which half are paid, reflecting increasing traction. Buoyed by this performance, Salesforce's management raised fiscal 2026 revenue guidance to $41 billion to $41.3 billion range, and affirmed its non-GAAP operating margin target of 34%, as well as a 10% to 11% growth range in operating cash flow. The quarter showcased solid fundamentals, balanced growth, operational efficiency, and mounting AI-driven enterprise demand. Analysts remain optimistic on Salesforce, projecting its EPS to surge by 8.4% to around $8.55 for fiscal 2026, and grow by another 13.1% to $9.67 in fiscal 2027. CRM stock has a consensus 'Strong Buy' rating overall. Of the 49 analysts covering the stock, 35 advise a 'Strong Buy,' three suggest a 'Moderate Buy,' nine analysts are on the sidelines, giving it a 'Hold' rating, and two rate it as a 'Strong Sell.' The average analyst price target for CRM is $354.93, indicating potential upside of 30.9%. The Street-high target price of $440 suggests that the stock could rally as much as 62.3%.
