POLICE have issued a warning after two crimes in a Bradford district town. West Yorkshire Police regularly posts on its Community Alert website to notify the public of recorded crimes in their area and to keep neighbourhoods informed. On Friday, two posts appeared about separate recorded crimes in Ilkley. One of them happened in the early hours of Thursday morning. The post said, "the victim was woken by sounds of a vehicle being driven at speed on Eaton Road, Ilkley" at 3.30am. They then realised that their 68 plate, grey Seat Leon had been taken, according to the post. It added: "It is unknown how the vehicle was stolen but it was established that the keys (still at the address) were located close to the front door. It added: "The outer casing had been bent back and the lock barrel snapped. "Fortunately, no entry was gained to the property. "The victim also noticed that their car had been entered and items removed, including a purse, cash and cards.
