Best Streaming Service Deals: Stream More for Less and Enjoy Your Favorite Content

Yahoo17-04-2025
Whether you want to watch the new season of The Last of Us or rewatch some of the best movies, tons of streaming services are available. Picking and sticking to one isn't really realistic for many folks, especially when favorite shows are spread across many platforms. However, the cost of even two or three subscriptions can start to rack up a big bill every month. That's why we researched potential deals or bundles that can help you save while keeping you entertained.
With more than five years of experience covering services and tech, Eli Blumenthal is one of CNET's resident streaming experts. Along with members of CNET's dedicated deals team, he's searched the web to bring you the best offers out there and help you make the most of your streaming budget. The bargains below include monthly discounts, bundle offers and price cuts for students. We'll continue to update this page as offers come and go, so be sure to check back often.
Ultimately, the best streaming service deal will depend on the content you want. The Trio Basic subscription -- which bundles Disney Plus, Hulu and ESPN Plus -- is an excellent value. Combining three services for as little as $17 a month, you're getting a wide variety of shows, movies and sports and saving $14 a month compared with the cost of subscribing to each service separately.
New and returning customers who sign up for Starz right now will get their first three months for just $5 a month. A subscription is usually $11 a month, which means you're getting a temporary 55% discount. Stream shows like Outlander, Minx or Power Book II: Ghost, as well as hit movies like Jordan Peele's Nope.
You can also prepay for a six-month subscription at $18 upfront, which reduces the price to just $3 per month for half a year.

Even with the price hike, YouTube TV is still one of the best live TV streaming services, thanks to its wide selection of channels. If you're looking to try it out, you can get signed up for less right now. New subscribers can get 10 days for free, and then the first two months for just $60 for two months, which saves you $23 a month.

Sling TV is one of our favorite live TV streaming services, and now you can get signed up for less. Sling offers two subscriptions, which typically cost $46 a month. Orange is focused on sports and family channels, whereas Blue is oriented toward news and entertainment. You can prepay for three months at $100. You can also try out add-on subscriptions free for one month, including services like AMC Plus, Paramount Plus With Showtime, Starz and MGM Plus. After the first month, your add-on subscriptions will be billed at their usual prices.

Fubo is another live TV streaming service, and though our reviewers found it to be a little lacking in the entertainment department, it is a pretty great value for sports fans. A few plans are available, with its main memberships usually starting at $85 per month for the Essential plan. But when you sign up now, you can save as much as $30 on your first month, dropping the price to $55. You can also get a free trial when you sign up for a plan.

Disney now offers two bundles that can save you money monthly if you're paying separately for Disney Plus, ESPN Plus and Hulu subscriptions. The $17-a-month Trio Basic subscription provides access to the ad-supported versions of all three streaming services and saves you $14 a month compared to subscribing separately. The Trio Premium plan costs $27 a month and gets you ESPN Plus with ads and ad-free Disney Plus and Hulu, which saves you $20 compared to separate subscriptions.
Sign up on the Disney+ website. If you've already got a Hulu or ESPN account, you must combine your accounts on your desktop.

If you prefer fantasy over football, there is also a three-service Disney Plus and Hulu bundle that includes a Max subscription instead of ESPN Plus. There are two versions of this bundle, starting at $17 a month for the ad-supported subscriptions, which saves you $13 a month compared to subscribing separately. If you want the ad-free experience, the price increases to $30 a month, a $22 monthly discount.

Paramount Plus offers two subscriptions. The basic Paramount Plus Essential plan is ad-supported, gives you access to NFL games on CBS and costs $8 a month. There's also the ad-free Paramount Plus with Showtime subscription, which allows you to stream CBS live, download shows and movies and get access to the Showtime library for $13 a month. You can save $3 a month on both plans when you opt for an annual subscription, which costs $60 for the Essential plan and $120 for the Showtime bundle.
You'll also get a 25% discount on the monthly plan if you're a student, which drops the Essential subscription to just $6 a month. Also, note that the option to prepay for a year and save isn't exclusive to Paramount Plus -- streaming services such as Max and Hulu also offer discounts if you pay annually.

MagellanTV has a huge collection of documentaries, featuring more than 3,000 curated titles ready for your next movie marathon. Sign up through StackSocial and you can score a two-year subscription for just $60 or a three-year subscription for $72, which saves you up to 59% and drops the cost down to as little as $2 a month. You can also ditch the annual fees and opt for the $200 lifetime subscription instead.

Inquisitive minds will get a lot from a lifetime subscription to Curiosity Stream. The documentary streaming service costs just $200 for a lifetime subscription at StackSocial. That's 50% off its regular price of $400.

Students will want to check out Spotify's Premium Student offer, which combines a $12 monthly Spotify Premium membership with Hulu's $10 a month ad-supported plan. At just $6 a month, this bundle would save $16 each month, and it comes with a one-month free trial. You need to be a student above the age of 18 who is enrolled at a US Title IV-accredited college or university to qualify, and Spotify works with a third party called SheerID to verify that you're eligible. You can even get the first month for free.
You will need to verify eligibility every 12 months, with the offer available for a total of four years. Full details can be found on Spotify's site.

Peacock offers two subscription tiers. The ad-supported Premium plan is $8 per month, and the ad-free Premium Plus plan is $14 per month. But when you sign up for a one-year membership, you'll save around 17% compared with paying monthly. That saves you $16 on a Premium membership and $28 on a Premium Plus membership.
You can get a Peacock Premium subscription for just $4 per month if you're a teacher, which is a 50% monthly discount. And if you're a student, you can score the subscription for $3 per month for the first year.

College students who don't want the Spotify bundle can get ad-supported Hulu for $2 a month. Hulu similarly uses SheerID to verify eligibility, with more details available on Hulu's site.

This offer is also open to Diamond- and Platinum-tier Xfinity Rewards members and those with a Now TV subscription. More details can be found on Xfinity's site.
Peacock is also now available to Instacart Plus members. Users in the US can receive a free Peacock Premium subscription as a membership perk. Instacart Plus costs $10 a month -- or $100 a year -- and grants members unlimited fast, free delivery on orders over $35. Sign up for Peacock via the Instacart app.

This list features several straightforward streaming deals that include temporary discounts for new or returning subscribers. These offers aren't the only way to score some savings. We've also included plenty of other ways to stretch your streaming budget, including discounted student subscriptions, annual plan savings and bundle offers that combine multiple services. Some of these offers may not technically qualify as a "deal," but they're among the most consistent ways to get a streaming subscription for less.

Ninja's Glass-Bowl Air Fryer Won Me Over. Here Are 4 Reasons I Made the Switch

CNET's expert staff reviews and rates dozens of new products and services each month, building on more than a quarter century of expertise. 9.2 / 10 SCORE Ninja Crispi $180 at Amazon $180 at Best Buy $180 at Target Pros Cook, serve, and storage capabilities Easy to clean: almost everything is dishwasher-safe Intuitive operation No concern about PFAS Ability to see cooking in progress Can buy additional glass vessels for maximum food prep Small storage footprint with nesting capabilities Portable Cons Price is on the high side for air fryers Some exposed hot elements during operation Ninja Crispi 9.2/10 CNET Score $180 at Amazon We're a little obsessed with air fryers around here. We've spent countless hours putting them through their paces -- testing everything from frozen snacks to full meals -- while also evaluating how each model performs. This past spring, a new contender stood out: an air fryer with a sleek glass cooking chambe that breaks from the usual bulky black-box design and hard-to-get-really-clean nonstick basket. After running it through our full battery of tests, it didn't just pass -- it quickly became the favorite. The result? It earned CNET's Editor's Choice award and claimed the top spot on our Best Air Fryers of 2025 list. The Ninja Crispi is our new favorite air fryer. Ninja Read more: Air Fryer Fails: 8 Foods That Just Can't Handle the Heat The Crispi is one of the more expensive air fryers we've tested at $160. But if you're hunting for an air fryer that's easy to use, easy to get clean -- like, really clean -- built to last and causes no concern about ingesting cookware chemicals, the Ninja Crispi is worth a look. Here's how it works and four reasons I switched to a glass-bowl air fryer in 2025. Ninja Crispi 4-in-1 portable glass air fryer at a glance Style : Modular air fryer with two sizes of glass cooking vessels and a separate cooking pod in three color options : Modular air fryer with two sizes of glass cooking vessels and a separate cooking pod in three color options Dimensions : 13.5 by 12 by 13.5 inches : 13.5 by 12 by 13.5 inches Power : 1,500 watts : 1,500 watts Weight : 15.74 pounds : 15.74 pounds Price $160 Ninja Crispi operation: How it's different Being able to visually track progress is one of the big draws for Ninja's new air fryer. Pamela Vachon/CNET The cooking pod itself includes crisp, bake, air fry and max crisp functions. Crisp is intended to revive leftovers, while max crisp is the ideal setting for packaged frozen foods. While it is tempting, given its baking dish look, the glass TempWare bowls are not intended to be used as the actual cooking vessels for batters in bake mode, because air still needs to circulate below the cooking vessels to be effective. (Will I try anyway? The temptation is real…) Pressing any button will indicate a digital timer to which you can add or subtract minutes. (The timer defaults to 10.) Below 1 minute, the timer changes into seconds and the device beeps to alert you when the cycle is complete. Overall, the sound level of the Ninja Crispi was similar to conventional air fryer models, with just a moderate whir when operating. 4 reasons I switched to the glass-bowl Ninja Crispi You can see what you're cooking My brussels sprouts got a good char in the Crispi. Pamela Vachon/CNET As expected, the ability to see the cooking in progress was really satisfying, both from a nerdy perspective and also to be able to look for visual cues in terms of when to flip your items or to assess doneness. Both chicken parts and Brussels sprouts were cooked evenly and efficiently with little risk of over-cooking given the 360-degree window into the proceedings. 2. Glass bowls are nontoxic and easy to get clean NInja Most air fryers use aluminum cooking baskets with a nonstick coating. Those coatings tend to chip and breakdown if you're not careful. Plenty of folks are concerned about the health ramifications for ingesting nonstick chemicals that chip of of cookware. With a glass-bowl air fryer, there's no worry. If that's not enough, glass is much easier to deep-clean than nonstick surfaces and you can use the dishwasher without issue. 3. The glass bowls double as food storage containers The cooked food is ready to be packed away or brought to a party as soon as it's done. Pamela Vachon/CNET The versatility, however, makes the Ninja Crispi tremendously interesting, especially for avid meal preppers. Full meals or individual cooked components can go right from cooking into the fridge, with the included lids for easy storage. (Although I am bound by refrigerator logistics to tell you to let it all cool first, so you don't inadvertently raise the temperature inside your fridge.) Additional cooking bowls in a variety of sizes can be purchased separately, allowing for the possibility of a multitude of individually cooked meals with no cleanup required in between use: just transfer the cooking pod from one cooking vessel to the next, assembly-line style. Sunday meal prep has never been easier, nor required fewer dishes. 4. It's easy to store The Ninja Crispi is also easy to store, with a footprint and height requirement that is far less than a lot of conventional models. It also makes for easy portability -- ideal for a potluck situation or even just a hot-meal self-care moment -- where you could even justify cooking on site. Either of the cooking bowls and the cooking pod could easily fit in a shoulder bag. If I worked in an office, it would thrill me to bring the whole thing with me to have a hot, healthful lunch without reheating. Although if you're contemplating being the person to cook fish directly at your desk -- maybe don't. Not only can the larger 4-quart bowl be used directly as a family-style serving vessel -- whose practical feet preclude the need for a trivet or pot holder -- but one could argue that the smaller 4-cup vessel can be used to eat out of directly, significantly reducing the number of dishes to wash. Speaking of washing, everything except the cooking pod itself is dishwasher-safe. Ninja Crispy setup Convenient as it, the glass cooking chamber does get hotter than your average air fryer base. Pamela Vachon/CNET Despite not looking anything like a typical air fryer, the Ninja Crispi was intuitive to set up and use. Each of the glass cooking vessels has a built-in stand with feet that keeps it off the counter surface. Side handles are also fitted on the stands of the bowls, which allow not only for easy transporting between the counter and the table (because the vessels can also be used to serve) but also make it easy to shake the contents as needed during the cooking process. The nonstick crisper plates were packaged separately and simple to place inside the bowls and to remove for cleaning. Lids for the 6-cup and 4-quart bowls were also included: a snap-on lid for the smaller and a simpler press-on lid for the larger. The cooking pod itself has an ergonomic shape for easy lifting and also has feet for safe placement on the counter when not in use. The cooking pod sits easily on top of the 6-cup bowl and a big-batch adapter frame fits the cooking pod onto the larger bowl. Between unwrapping and rinsing all of the washable parts, I was ready to go in about 2 minutes. What I didn't like about the Ninja Crispi Convenient as it, the glass cooking chamber does get hotter than your average air fryer base. Pamela Vachon/CNET As a modular device with a ton of built-in practicality and versatility, I do think the Ninja Crispi is a game-changer in the air fryer market. That said, at $160 it's on the higher side, price-wise, for an air fryer. Those with little ones in the house also may want to note: When the cooking pod is being used with the adapter for large batches, the adapter can become hot and is potentially exposed once the heating pod is removed. Never minding little ones, if you're an absent-minded cook yourself, it can be a hazard. Read more: 8 Foods That Go From Good to Great in an Air Fryer Final verdict on the Ninja Crispi If you're a disciple of air fryer cooking and, especially if you have a serious commitment to meal prepping, the Ninja Crispi is arguably one of the most versatile models on the market. It's satisfying to use and easy to store and clean. You may want to look for it on sale during Prime Days or the like, but even without a discount, its utility and the reputation of the Ninja brand merits its price tag.

Best Home Security Cameras for Apple HomeKit and Siri in 2025

Today's home security cameras come packed with features, not to mention testing out compatibility with the Apple Home app. We test in several different ways in our homes and CNET offices to really check out everything these cameras can down. Set up and camera quality As we set up cameras, we pay close attention to their design and how fragile or durable it is, as well as what features they have -- for example, how easy it is to change batteries or insert a microSD card. And, of course, we spend extra time with the camera lens itself, seeing how it moves and what the image quality is like. If a camera has a 2K resolution, for example, we expect it's live view to be crisp and clear even when expanded. We test for camera image latency and connection reliability when remote viewing, too. App controls and design Even if you plan on using the Apple Home app for more of your work, you'll still need to use the camera app for some setup and extra features that Apple may not support. So it's important that the app have good instructions and an intuitive design, with menus and settings that are easy to access. We watch for warning signs like confusing multi-menu steps, ads in the app, and features that aren't supported well when they should be, like the ability to adjust motion sensitivity. Apple connections and feature support For an Apple cam, connections to the Apple app and Siri controls are very important. So we check how easy it is to add Apple functionality and what features are supported directly in Apple Home. We make sure Siri can control important functions with voice commands as well. And as we test over several days, we watch for dropped connections or bugs from the platform. If the camera supports connections with other home routines, we also see if can be set up easily in a routine and perform as expected. Aqara's sensors have some compatibility with Apple Home but I found it quite limited compared to other options. Tyler Lacoma/CNET Night vision and audio Most cameras have extra features like night vision and two-way audio, so we dig into capabilities like that and check to see how they perform. Night vision across 10 feet is pretty easy -- but how does it do at 30 or 40 feet? Can it see across a yard or large room with high quality? Likewise, we listen to two-way audio and test out conversations, not just up close but from a distance, checking on audio clarity and how easily it picks up random noise. Motion detection and AI object recognition If a camera supports motion detection, we see how well it works and if we can adjust sensitivity to reasonable levels so it doesn't trigger too easily. We also check out any available AI features, like the option to recognize a human or a package, as well as ignore things like pets.
