MAFS star Lucinda Light slammed for supporting JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes after Dance Moms star brutally dumped her Aussie girlfriend

Daily Mail30-04-2025
Married At First Sight star Lucinda Light has been forced to backtrack on her recent Instagram post with controversial Celebrity Big Brother duo JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes, amid mounting criticism over JoJo's brutal dumping of her Australian partner Kath Ebbs.
Lucinda was all smiles as she posed for a backstage photo alongside the Celebrity Big Brother UK finalists on Monday, amid mounting speculation that the pair could be more than 'platonic soulmates.'
The 43-year-old, who skyrocketed to fame on last year's MAFS season, shared a photo with JoJo and Chris to Instagram after appearing on British chat show This Morning, and praised them for being 'bold and brave'.
On Sunday, JoJo's girlfriend Kath Ebbs confirmed that they and JoJo are no longer together after the Dance Moms star called things off at the CBB afterparty.
'Just met these two radiant humans today at @thismorning for the first time! I didn't watch Big Brother, and... I was not across the breakup and their dynamic,' Lucinda began in her original caption.
'It's bold and brave going on a TV show like this and putting yourself out there. Congrats on making your way through and now to navigate it all on the out. Bless this mess. @itsjojosiwa & @chrishughesofficial!' she continued in her caption.
'Glad I got to say a cheeky hello today. May we all learn our lessons. May we walk humbly. May we forgive ourselves and each other. May we empathise. May we grow,' she finished the caption.
As Lucinda shared the post to her Stories, she shared some additional words: 'Platonic friendship love. You [two] are gorgeous.'
JoJo, 21, returned to her native Los Angeles on Tuesday, after a whirlwind press tour with Chris in the UK and shared Lucinda's post to her 11.2million Instagram followers.
Fans were quick to criticise the MAFS star's judgement on the relationship between Chris and JoJo and questioned whether the post was out of touch with the online support for Kath in Australia.
'Lucindaslight-ly out of touch with how much damage these two have publicly created,' one commented, prompting Lucinda to respond.
The reality star said that she hasn't seen any of the CBB series and wasn't up-to-date with JoJo's relationship status when she met her backstage.
'I'm not over any of it,' Lucinda replied.

'Lucinda you're the best, but these two aren't platonic,' another fan commented with a laugh-crying emoji.
'Oh Lucinda I love you, but I cannot support these pair, they're aren't good energy!' agreed another.
One fan simply wrote, 'Team Kath.'
The comments weren't all negative, though, with Sophie Monk also showing support for JoJo, who rocked an edgy look in a cropped denim jacket layered over a black studded corset.
'Aw I love JoJo with the bow bow,' the Love Island Australia host commented.
The sheer volume of comments prompted Lucinda to update her caption on Wednesday.
'Updated post! Just met these two radiant humans today at This Morning for the first time!' the MAFS star explained.
'I didn't watch Big Brother, and when I posted this I was not across the breakup and their dynamic.'
While Lucinda wiped her hands of the social media faux pas, she said that she stands by her original.
'Lots of you have opinions about what they did or didn't do — and I get it — but I've already shared this post and stand by it. Who am I to judge on the intricacies of it all - it's reality tv after all,' Lucinda wrote in the updated caption.

Two ‘incredible' new professional dancers join Strictly Come Dancing cast

American-born Alexis Warr and Australian-born Julian Caillon will join the hit dance competition series as it returns to BBC One and iPlayer this autumn. Warr, who is best known for winning the US dance series So You Think You Can Dance in 2022 and was crowned America's favourite dancer, became the first female ballroom and Latin dancer to claim the title. On joining Strictly Come Dancing, Warr said: 'I've admired Strictly for years, so joining this incredible family is such an honour. 'I can't wait to step into the ballroom, pour my heart into every moment, and share my love of dance with the UK.' Caillon, who specialises in ballroom and Latin American, has appeared as a professional dancer for three seasons of Australia's version of Strictly Come Dancing, titled Australia's Dancing With The Stars. He said: 'Joining the cast of Strictly really is a dream come true. 'I've watched it for years, especially cheering on all the amazing dancers I know and work with who've been part of it. 'I can't wait to get stuck in, have some fun, and be part of something special!' The newcomers will join the current cast of professional dancers, which includes Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer and Katya Jones. Neil Jones will also return in the autumn along with Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk and Jowita Przystal. The new series, hosted by recent MBE recipients, Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, will also welcome back Johannes Radebe, Aljaz Skorjanec, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola. Warr and Caillon will join the professionals each week for group routines, music acts, theme weeks and Strictly's annual trip to Blackpool. Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas will also return to the judging panel. Sarah James, executive producer at BBC Studios, said: 'We've been big fans of Alexis and Julian for some time, so it's with great excitement that we now welcome them both to the Strictly family. 'They're two incredible dancers with bright futures ahead of them, and we know viewers are going to love getting to know them both.' Kalpna Patel-Knight, head of entertainment at the BBC, added: 'Alexis and Julian are the perfect additions to Strictly, and we can't wait for you to see them light up the ballroom this autumn. 'With our fantastic professional dancers, plus everything else we love about Strictly, the new series promises to be bigger, better and even more glitter-packed than ever before.' The news comes after the series faced a string of incidents this year, including Welsh tenor and former BBC Radio Wales presenter, Wynne Evans, being dropped by the broadcaster after he made an apology saying that he used 'inappropriate language' during the launch of the Strictly Come Dancing tour. Months later, EastEnders star James Borthwick was also suspended from the BBC after a video emerged of the actor using a disabled slur on the set of the dance programme. Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One and iPlayer this autumn.

Coronation Street's Helen Flanagan shows off painful 'black eye' after surgery

Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan - who played Rosie Webster on the ITV soap - showed off her 'black eye' after undergoing cosmetic surgery Helen Flanagan has shown off her 'black eyes' after undergoing cosmetic surgery. The Coronation Street star - who played Rosie Webster in the ITV soap - was seen sporting some bruising around her eye in a new post on social media. ‌ The Corrie star has been open about the surgery she has undergone, which at times she has been heavily criticised for. She opened up in 2022 about undergoing a breast enhancement and said it really helped her to get her confidence back. ‌ Speaking a few years back, she said of her decision: "I was quite open here on Instagram in January about my recent boob job. This was something I wanted to do for a really long time and by doing so I've really got my confidence back. ‌ "I breastfed in total for three years. Matilda I fed for eight months. Delilah I fed for 13 months. Charlie I fed for 14 months. As soon as I finished my breastfeeding journey with Charlie I wanted to get them done pretty much straight away. I felt like you could tie them in a bow. I had to wait though for six months after feeding and then I went for it in January." She added: "I don't regret one second of my breastfeeding journeys they were precious times. I was a little bit nervous I was worried they were going to be too big for my frame but they are so perfect for me and so in proportion." ‌ As part of her latest treatment, Helen underwent polynucleotide cosmetic facial surgery in her latest procedure. It is a type of cosmetic surgery, which uses DNA fragments to help to rejuvenate and revitalise the skin. It gives a youthful and radiant complexion but can initially cause redness, swelling and bruising where they are injected. In 2019, Helen also decided to have Botox and explained how it has made her feel more confident. ‌ "I felt super tired from having Delilah and I wanted to feel fresher and more confident in myself. I would take pictures on my phone with the kids and would be shocked how much older I looked where in my head I still feel like I'm 20," she said. "I'm so happy with my Botox and if you're like me and still want to look 23, then it's a good idea." Just a few weeks ago, Helen recalled how she was verbally abused by a man on the Tube for standing up for another woman. She explained how the woman had been harassed by the man and when she stood up for the woman, she was verbally abused too. "He was really awful and I actually felt really intimidated, and I felt like I couldn't say much to him because I did feel really intimidated by him. He said to me, it was like the weirdest thing he could have said, 'You've got so much Botox in your forehead', and I was sat there with an iced coffee, and he was like, 'I'm surprised you can even drink through a straw,'" she recalled.

Almost 1000 people gather in Edinburgh to watch man fold fitted sheet

A stand-up comedian from New Zealand, Dan Boerman, has gone viral on social media after he was able to draw a crowd of hundreds of people to watch him successfully fold a fitted sheet at the top of Calton Hill on Friday. The UK-based performer said it was probably the 'craziest marketing stunt' of his career as videos circulating on social media show droves of people cheering Boerman on as he completed the task. Explaining why he decided to pull the stunt, Boerman said that he didn't have thousands of dollars to promote his show at this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival and had to 'think outside the box' to advertise it. 'Somebody who legally wasn't me put these fliers all around town. 'Word began to spread in group chats and all across social media. 'By the time of the event, nearly 1000 people showed up to watch the action take place. 'If you don't have rich parents and thousands of dollars for PR, sometimes you just got to think outside the box and everyone there was super excited and had a great time.' In another post on Instagram, the comedian wrote that several other people attempted to fold the sheet, with varying success. He also thanked the hundreds of people who gathered for creating a 'fun' atmosphere. Boerman wrote: 'A couple punters from the crowd stepped forward to try themselves. 'One crushed it. One… gave it an honest go. 'Thank you so much to everyone who came through today. Such a fun atmosphere.' The Dan Boerman Folds a Fitted Sheet on His Own show will be running at The Apex Conference Center in the capital from August 1 to 25 at 2pm each day. The self-proclaimed 'high-energy and chaotic Kiwi comedy' describes his hour-long show as a love letter to 'our better halves and/or our situationships,' which you can find tickets for here. The comedian said he has returned to the festival this year after selling out his shows in Edinburgh last year and has just returned to the UK after touring Melbourne and New Zealand.
