Hours after winning The Traitors, Urfi Javed took to her Instagram handle to share a heartwarming post. The social media sensation, known for her sartorial choices, dropped a video from her Bigg Boss OTT 1 stint, in which she was the first contestant to get eliminated. The video featured Karan Johar announcing Urfi's eviction from Bigg Boss OTT. It then showed Urfi cheering out aloud as she emerged as the winner of The Traitors.
In the caption of her post, Urfi penned down an emotional note that read, 'From losing big boss (being the first one to be eliminated) to winning the traitors. 🏆 The journey wasn't easy, how many times I've cried, I've had so many breakdowns, wanted to give up, wanted to leave everything and run away. Being called names, getting death, rape threats, the online hate, the offline hate but I never stopped. May be the universe knew I needed this."
'When I lost Big boss I thought he lost my last chance at success or at having a good life, had taken udhaar from friends to get clothes to wear on big boss. At that time I didn't even know if I would be ever be able to repay that udhaar. People have always doubted me, even right now but this still won't stop me. The hate never has, never will stop me. I took out 3 traitors, that can't be luck. Till the last moment I didn't give up. Strategised," she added.
Urfi Javed emerged as the winner of The Traitors with Nikita Luther on Thursday, July 4. The two walked away with the prize money of Rs 70.05 lakh. The Amazon Prime Video show, which started with 20 celebrity contestants and influencers, ended with an intense finale where the duo beat comedian Harsh Gujral to clinch the title.
The Traitors, which was hosted by Karan Johar, featured an impressive ensemble — Karan Kundrra, Raj Kundra, Raftaar, Jasmine Bhasin, Anshula Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Jannat Zubair, and Sudhanshu Pandey, among others.
