New Moray movie location revealed as preparations continue ahead of 'The Odyssey' filming

Another film set has appeared in Moray following reports that Hollywood blockbuster The Odyssey is to begin shooting in the area.
Preparations for filming are currently taking place at a Moray woodland that suffered a major wildfire last month.
Pictures show tents, trailers and specialist movie set toilets have been set up at Culbin Forest near Forres.
It comes after The Press and Journal revealed images showing the construction of a set near Findlater Castle.
It is now understood that crews are preparing the area at Culbin for part of the production, which is due to be released in July 2026.
The area recently made headlines after firefighters fought a wildfire at the site for days to get it under control.
Several hundred cast and crew are expected to travel to the area for filming.
Notices within the car park state that there will be no public access to the Buckie Loch area between June 2 and July 25.
The car park will also be closed from July 3 until July 16.
Filming for the movie, which will star the likes of Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron and Zendaya, started in Morocco earlier this year.
Greece and the Italian island of Sicily have also been used as filming locations.
Findlater Castle, which is located between Portsoy and Cullen, is currently off-limits to visitors between May 27 and July 25 due to 'private commercial activity', is expected to also feature in the movie.
The Odyssey is predicted to be the most expensive film of Nolan's illustrious career, which includes the hit movie Oppenheimer.
Although partly filmed in Scotland, the film dramatizes the journey of the ancient Greek king of Ithaca back home to his wife following the Trojan War that took place around the 12th or 13th Century.

Jeff Bezos seals 72-hour £40m Venice wedding celebrations with a kiss from bride

Amazon retail giant Jeff Bezos sent the world into a spin as the good and the great of Hollywood and the music industry attended his hugely anticipated wedding celebration Their wedding has been the talk of the town for months as fans eagerly awaited the lavish ceremony of Amazon mogul Jeff Bezos and his wife Lauren Sanchez. And the couple did not fail to disappoint. The couple took three days out of their busy schedule to celebrate their wedding, which is believed to have cost close to £40million. ‌ The last day of their wedding party, fans were greeted by Lauren, who now goes by the name of Mrs Bezos, in a flattering pink dress which was embellished with jewels. Both Lauren and Jeff were seen waving to the crowd that gathered outside their Aman Venice Hotel as they stepped into a boat to take them to a secret location to continue their party, surrounded by the elite of Hollywood. ‌ With her hair gently draped around her shoulders, Lauren looked the picture of happiness as she stood close to her new husband. Meanwhile, Jeff was seen dressed in all black. The businessman, 61, who is the third richest man in the world with an estimated worth of £177billion. was pictured in a black shirt teamed with a matching suit. He completed his look with a pair of sunglasses as they made their way along the Venice canal. The happy couple shared a kiss which sent fans wild, sealing their three day nuptials. And their guests also left fans in awe as the elite of Hollywood and the music industry gathered together for three days to witness the wedding of Lauren and Jeff. ‌ Guests included Oprah Winfrey, who looked stunning in a burnt orange outfit that came complete with feathered sleeves. With a fan in hand to stave off the Venice heat, the TV star who is also believed to be a billionaire, waved to fans as she jumped into the awaiting water taxi to take her to the party venue. Other guests included Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Kim and Khloe Kardashian and Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio, who were also pictured making their way to the old shipyard, the Arsenale. ‌ Kim was seen dressed to impress in a shimmering black fitted dress that showed off all her curves, while Khloe cut a more demure appearance in a flattering pink outfit. According to reports, the invited guests amounted to 200 people and Sir Elton John and Lady Gaga were among the performers of the night. ‌ And while the happy couple and their guests enjoyed the celebrations which went without a hitch, it seems not everybody was pleased that the retail giant had booked out the entire Italian city. An estimated 700 demonstrators gathered together at Santa Lucia train station armed with banners that read "If you can rent Venice for your wedding, you can pay more tax." The demonstration is believed to have been organised by the No Space For Bezos group. A few members of the group were seen laden with Amazon boxes that had the words "ordered, shipped, delivered, rejected" written on them. But this did not seem to change the happy course of the couple as they continued to enjoy their day despite the interruptions. This is reportedly the second marriage for both Jeff and Lauren and between them, they have seven children.

Mum slams 'nightmare' Corfu hotel with 'no English food' and '€1.50 water bill'

Susan Edwards said her holiday was 'horrendous' from the minute she arrived at the Greek island of Corfu with her daughter and three other family members A fuming mum has vowed never to book with TUI again following a "nightmare" all-inclusive trip to Corfu, where she claims there was "no English food" or hotel entertainment. Susan Edwards embarked on a seven-night holiday to the Greek island on 12 May. She stayed at the Lido Corfu Sun Hotel with her cousins, aged 77 and 78, her daughter, 30, and second cousin, 50. ‌ However, Susan, 69, from Westerhope, described the holiday as "horrendous from the minute [they] got there." ‌ The holidaymaker explained: "It was all-inclusive, £750 each we paid and there was no food we could eat and we couldn't have anything to drink. "I have to be careful because I have ulcerative colitis so there's certain things I can't eat. The all inclusive drinks were wine, lager, ouzo, or brandy. Yes, there were soft drinks, but we had to pay €1.50 for water." Susan and her party arrived at the hillside hotel around 2pm on 12 May, ready to enjoy some food and refreshments after their long journey. After climbing a large ramp to reach the hotel reception, Susan said she was told that pool-side food would be served at 5pm for guests, which she claims was a "one-inch square of baklava". Her dissatisfaction only got worse the next day when she discovered there was "no English food" available at the hotel. Describing the grub on offer, Susan said: "On a morning you could have toast, a hard boiled egg, or something in sauce," Chronicle Live reports. ‌ "There was no bacon. For breakfast there was mozzarella and sliced tomatoes. There was no hot bacon or sausage. "We got chips one day. One day out of the whole lot. There was fish, sardines and rice - I was sick to death of looking at rice. There was pasta and salads, none of this was marked (labelled). One night there was a Greek night and they had kebabs, I couldn't eat that. It's the worst holiday I've ever been on." The mum says she couldn't enjoy her preferred drink during her holiday because she doesn't fancy ouzo and doesn't drink brandy. She explained that she would normally have bottled lager or one Bacardi and Coke, which she said would have cost her €9 and would have been a different brand. ‌ "By the time we paid £750 for the holiday, €70 tourist tax for me and my daughter and an extra £450 for both of our meals, I could have been to the Caribbean on that", Susan fumed. TUI's website describes holidays at the Lido Corfu Sun Hotel as being "all about the laidback life" where "ping pong and pool are the liveliest activities on the agenda", aside from the occasional live music and Greek night. It also says the four-star hotel has its own private patch of beach "just steps away". ‌ However, Susan claimed there was no entertainment at the hotel which is "stuck there in the middle of nowhere". She added: "There was a private beach but it was so steep we couldn't get down to it and it was 150 yards from the hotel." "There's a ramp at the side of the hotel that you have to try and pull your case up when you arrive. My daughter was up and down, up and down, trying to pull everyone's case up for them." She also expressed her frustration over not being able to get a second key for the room she shared with her daughter. Susan explained: "I asked for a second key for my daughter because sometimes I get tired in the afternoon and rather than lying in the sun and getting burned. ‌ "But if I went up to have a sleep, my daughter wouldn't be able to get into the room. She would have to wake me up to get in. I asked for a second key but I was told 'no, too expensive'." Susan said she usually holidays in Spain with her cousins and would always fly with TUI as she felt comfortable knowing "there's a big company behind you if anything goes wrong." ‌ However, this time, her confidence in TUI has been shaken due to what she perceives as an inadequate response from the travel firm. She has been offered £100 in holiday vouchers by TUI, but she claims that other guests she met at the hotel have been offered more after complaining. Susan has declined TUI's final £100 voucher offer. "In the past I've paid more to get on a TUI flight because if anything happened I've always thought you've got a big company behind you if anything goes wrong. Not anymore. This holiday was a nightmare," Susan said. A spokesperson for TUI UK said: "Our priority is to ensure customers have the best possible holiday experience, so we are sorry to hear that Mrs Edwards felt dissatisfied with her holiday. We have been in touch directly with Mrs Edwards to come to a resolution."

Meghan Markle's 'commitment failure' left key royal furious after huge sacrifice

When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle dramtically announced they were quitting their royal roles - one key royal was apparently disappointed with Meghan's 'commitment' It's no secret that marrying into the royal family comes with a huge level of responsibility and sacrifice, with no modern royal understanding this burden more than the late Prince Philip. Before he became the Duke of Edinburgh when he married Queen Elizabeth in 1947, Philip gave up his birth citizenship, his naval career and even his surname. As he was happy to live on the sidelines next to the late Queen Elizabeth while he still attended royal events and focused on his own philanthropic efforts, it's no wonder he expected the same level of dedication from others marrying into the royal family. But according to royal biographer Ingrid Seward, Philip took particular umbrage with Meghan Markle and her unwillingness to fully devote every aspect of her life to the Firm when she married Prince Harry in 2018. ‌ ‌ Speaking to Sky News in 2020, Ingrid said: 'I think he's very, very disappointed because I think he feels he gave up his naval career in order to stand by the Queen and help the monarchy. 'And why can't Meghan just give up her acting career, support her husband and support the monarchy? He just cannot understand why she couldn't support Harry and help him rather than wanting to have her voice.' According to Ingrid, after Harry and Meghan announced they wanted to step down as working royals in January 2020 and the late Queen had called a summit in Sandringham to try to resolve the family crisis, Philip opted not to be a part of the talks about the Sussexes' future outside of the monarchy. The meeting was attended by the late Queen Elizabeth, Prince Harry, Prince William and the then Prince Charles, while Princess Kate, Camilla and Prince Philip did not attend. Meghan was reportedly outraged that she was unable to go to the meeting as she was in Canada with baby Archie. Seward claims that the late Duke just wanted to wash his hands of the whole affair, as she said: 'Of course, it irritates him hugely. And when they had the Sandringham Summit, Prince Philip was seen leaving the house very swiftly before they all arrived. He simply doesn't want to get involved any more.' ‌ Philip's quiet fury over Meghan and Harry's lack of dedication to the royal family stems from his decades of sacrifices in the name of the Firm. Before marrying Queen Elizabeth, Philip had to renounce his Greek and Danish citizenship to become a fully fledged Brit. He also changed his full name from Philippos Andreou of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderberg-Glücksburg to Philip Mountbatten, and earned the title Duke of Edinburgh after his wedding to the late Queen. The Duke also had to leave behind his successful career in the Royal Navy to take up new royal duties as the consort to the late Queen.
