'It's important for us not to strengthen only on the field but off the field as well. A lot of the time we focus on what's happening on the pitch,' said Motaung as per SABC Sport .
'But certainly, for us to compete internationally and on the continent, we need good administrators.
'It's great to have Kabelo join us and be on board, and we will be bringing in a lot of other people to make sure that the support is not only on the pitch, but at the administration level as well, to make sure this club goes where it needs to go.'
'Well, his role is in football administration, sporting administration, but also with his great experience at CAF, his involvement in the marketing and event side is very valuable, a very unique and holistic role,' she concluded.

'What did Orlando Pirates see in this guy?': Khanye questions
Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Junior Khanye has questioned Orlando Pirates' decision to hire Abdeslam Ouaddou as their new head coach. The 46-year-old was announced as the club's new coach earlier this week. The Moroccan replaces Jose Riveiro, who left in May to join Egyptians giants Al Ahly. Since Ouaddou's announcement, Orlando Pirates have announced seven new signings. The team is set to camp in Spain for their pre-season training where they will play several teams. Speaking on iDiski TV , Khanye said the Morrocan coach will find it hard at Pirates given the club's succes. 'Pirates are a team full of surprises. The coach knows where he finds the team currently; he has to fit a size 7 while he is a size 3. Pirates have won five trophies, so it's not going to be filling Riveiro's shoes. He did well, I was a critic of him, but he proved me wrong,' he said. 'What did Pirates see in this guy? I saw his team (Marumo Gallants), maybe it's because he beat Orlando Pirates.' 'I saw him at Gallants, his team was playing with high intensity and they were the fittest team in the league. We know that our players will pull up their socks if they are coached by an international coach,' he said. Orlando Pirates finished second in the Betway Premiership behind Mamelodi Sundowns for the third successive season. Although they won the MTN8, the 2024/25 campaign was not considered a success given how the team promised so match. Orlando Pirates transfer news: 7 new players, Ouaddou, Tito
Orlando Pirates new coach Abdesalm Ouaddou will get a chance to assess his squad this coming week as the team starts their pre-season training. The Buccaneers had a disappointing 2024/25 season, finishing second and winning just the MTN8 trophy. Under Jose Riveiro, the Sea Robbers claimed five trophies in three seasons, making them the new 'cup kings of South African football'. With Riveiro gone and Ouaddou taking over, Orlando Pirates are looking for an improvement next season. Marumo Gallants defender Vusi Sibisi described the Moroccan coach as someone who doesn't show favouritism to his players. 'Coach Abdee is a good coach;. All I can say to Pirates is that he demands hard work from his players,' he told SNL24. 'As long as you put in the effort, you'll get a chance to play in his team. He doesn't show favouritism, and he selects players purely on merit. 'If you perform in training, you will play. It's as simple as that, regardless of your age.' 'Whether you're a youngster or an experienced player, performance is what earns you a spot. 'He's a man of principles who values a high work rate, and when it's time to work, there's no room for messing around. With that coach, if you're not giving your best, you're only hurting yourself, because you won't play,' he concluded. Earlier this week, Orlando Pirates announced the signing of seven new players. More players are Yanela Mbuthuma, Masindi Nemtajela, Tshepang Moremi, Nkosikhona Ndaba, Tsepo Mashiloane and Sihle Nduli. The likes of Patrick 'Tito' Maswanganyi will need to pull up their socks. Tito has had a very underwhelming season as compared to his debut campaign with the Buccaneers.
