Strictly Come Dancing has reportedly ruled out Paul Burrell for a spot on the upcoming series, amid concerns about ruffling feathers at Buckingham Palace.
Sources suggest the former Royal butler had been considered as a potential star in past series.
However, show bosses are said to be anxious about how his participation might be received by the Palace and have consequently shelved the idea.
A source told The Mirror: "They know how much Queen Camilla loves the show and would love for her to appear in the audience.....but they fear that Paul's involvement would scupper that relationship."
Burrell has previously been accused of profiting from his association with the late Princess Diana, but has refuted these allegations. Nonetheless, the BBC programme does enjoy a close connection with Royal circles.
Queen Camilla, an attendee of Silver Swans ballet classes offered by the Royal Academy of Dance, has proclaimed herself as one of Strictly's "greatest fans".

She even once remarked to Strictly pro Johannes Radebe "we all watch it".
Host Tess Daly's husband Vernon Kay has also spoken about the "real friendship" blossoming between his wife and the Queen, who is apparently eager for insider details, reports the Mirror.
Vernon commented: "Camilla and Tess have a real friendship through it now. They don't text, but we have mutual friends and messages come through.
"When they see each other, the Queen is always asking: 'Who is your favourite?' She wants to know the backstage gossip.

"It's crazy to think of the King and Queen sat on the sofa with a brew watching your wife present Strictly."
Queen Camilla also threw a palace tea party for Strictly, where she twirled around with ex-pro Brendan Cole and even recorded a video message for the 2020 final, won by Bill Bailey and Oti Mabuse.
Observers have noted that Strictly hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess were recently honoured in the King's Birthday Honours. They've been at the helm of the show together since 2014.
Reach Screen Time contacted the BBC, who declined to comment.
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One and iPlayer later this year.

Gregg Wallace: Timeline of misconduct review amid reports of MasterChef sacking

TV presenter Gregg Wallace has been sacked from his presenting role on MasterChef ahead of a review into allegations about historical misconduct, BBC News has said. The 60-year-old, who stepped away from hosting the BBC show last year amid the allegations, has been hit by a new wave of claims published by the news site on Tuesday. In an Instagram post he claimed that the investigation, the outcome of which is yet to be published, 'exonerates me of all the serious allegations which made headlines last year'. Here we take a look at the allegations made against the TV star: – November 28 2024 Wallace faces allegations of inappropriate sexual comments from 13 people across a range of shows over a 17-year period, as reported by BBC News. The TV star steps away from presenting MasterChef while Banijay, the show's production company, announces it is conducting an external review to 'fully and impartially investigate' the claims against him. BBC News says allegations include the presenter 'talking openly about his sex life, taking his top off in front of a female worker saying he wanted to 'give her a fashion show', and telling a junior female colleague he was not wearing any boxer shorts under his jeans'. Broadcaster Kirsty Wark, who was a Celebrity MasterChef contestant in 2011, says he told 'sexualised' jokes during filming. Model Ulrika Jonsson tells The Telegraph that when she competed on Celebrity MasterChef in 2017, Wallace allegedly had to apologise after making a 'rape joke', which caused another female contestant to become 'really distressed'. Sir Rod Stewart takes to Instagram following the accusations, accusing Wallace of 'humiliating' his wife Penny Lancaster on Celebrity MasterChef in 2021. The TV star's lawyers say 'it is entirely false that he engages in behaviour of a sexually harassing nature', BBC News reports. Wallace thanks his Instagram followers for 'showing their support'. – November 29 2024 Wallace faces a string of new allegations with one woman, who worked on a travel show with him, accusing him of making 'lesbian jokes constantly', as reported by BBC News. The charity Ambitious About Autism says it had dropped Wallace as an ambassador, citing the 'recent allegations'. – November 30 2024 Producer and director Dawn Elrick posts a letter on Instagram which includes a number of anonymous accounts from people who allege they 'have experienced sexism and sexual harassment within the TV industry'. She claims the letter, which accuses Wallace of making lewd comments, was sent to the BBC in 2022. The Sunday Telegraph reports producer Georgia Harding, who worked on MasterChef between 2014 and 2015 and later Eat Well For Less, claimed she raised concerns about 'inappropriate' behaviour from him while working on the show. Banijay UK confirms it has appointed law firm Lewis Silkin to lead the investigation into Wallace's alleged behaviour. – December 1 2024 Wallace says in a video posted to Instagram that accusations about him making sexual comments towards staff and guests have come from 'middle-class women of a certain age'. TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp tells BBC Radio 4's The World This Weekend that she was 'so embarrassed' she thought she 'might cry' after Wallace allegedly made a comment to her about his sex life. Celebrity MasterChef 2012 champion Emma Kennedy tells Times Radio the former greengrocer 'just doesn't understand that some behaviour is completely inappropriate'. – December 2 2024 Downing Street says Wallace's response to the accusations being made against him was 'inappropriate and misogynistic'. A spokesperson also says that Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy has held talks with BBC bosses in the wake of the Wallace row. Following the backlash, Wallace apologises for any 'offence' or 'upset' he caused with his remarks and said he will now 'take some time out' while the investigation is under way. – December 3 2024 Two MasterChef celebrity Christmas specials are pulled from the BBC's schedule. Wallace faces fresh allegations with one woman claiming he touched her bottom after an event and another alleging he pressed his crotch against her while filming on a different show, according to BBC News. – December 4 2024 Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer says politicians should be ready to put in place 'mechanisms' that would instil 'confidence' that women will be taken seriously in reports of inappropriate behaviour after a Labour MP asked him about 'women of a certain age', reflecting comments Wallace apologised for. MasterChef presenter John Torode says he 'loves being part of' the programme and 'will continue to be a part of it' after Wallace stepped back from the show. A ghostwriter claims Wallace sexually harassed her while she was working on his 2012 autobiography. – December 10 2024 Ms Nandy says she is 'prepared to take further action' if the creative industries cannot address 'cultures of silence and issues being swept under the rug' in relation to claims of misconduct while appearing before the Culture, Media and Sport (CMS) Committee. – April 25 2025 Wallace tells the Daily Mail he 'thought about suicide all the time' after allegations of misconduct were made against him. – July 8 2025 Wallace is sacked as MasterChef presenter following the inquiry into his alleged misconduct by production company Banijay, BBC News reports. Fresh claims about the TV presenter are made from 50 more people to the corporation including allegations he groped one MasterChef worker and pulled his trousers down in front of another, BBC News says. BBC News says it has not seen the final review from Banijay, but it is understood the presenter has been sacked. In an Instagram post the former greengrocer claims he had been cleared of the 'most serious and sensational accusations' against him, ahead of the published review.

Kate dazzles in dark red silk at state banquet return

The future queen joined the King, Queen Camilla and the Prince of Wales and some 160 guests including Sir Mick Jagger and Sir Elton John in Windsor Castle's impressive St George's Hall. Ready for what promises to be a wonderful State Banquet this evening in Windsor 🇫🇷🇬🇧 — The Prince and Princess of Wales (@KensingtonRoyal) July 8, 2025 Kate, who was diagnosed with cancer in 2024 and confirmed she was free from the disease at the start of this year, last made an appearance at a grand royal dinner 20 months ago in November 2023 in honour of the South Korean president. Her gathered evening gown featured caped back detailing. The princess, with her hair down, was also wearing her favourite Lover's Knot tiara – a piece much loved by Diana, Princess of Wales. Kate and her husband William were pictured smiling and gazing at each other as they arrived together, walking side by side before the banquet at the castle. She carried a lily of the valley embroidered evening clutch and wore the Rosette of Grand Officier l'ordre nationale du merite, the Royal Family Orders of Charles III and Elizabeth II, the Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order and GCVO sash and star. Queen Camilla and the King with France's President Emmanuel Macron and wife Brigitte at the state banquet (Chris Jackson/PA) Kate was earlier shown smiling in the gardens of Windsor with William before the event, with Kensington Palace's social media declaring: 'Ready for what promises to be a wonderful State Banquet this evening in Windsor.' The prince was dressed in white tie, with the Most Noble Order of the Garter Sash with the Lesser George, miniature medals and a series of chest orders. Last week, the princess opened up about her 'rollercoaster' cancer recovery, its life-changing impact and putting on a 'brave face' during a visit to Colchester Hospital. She was seated next to President Macron and the pair chatted ahead of the start of the King's toast, while on her other side was art historian Christophe Leribault, chairman of the Musee D'Orsay. ✨ Final preparations are taking place ahead of this evening's State Banquet in St George's Hall, Windsor Castle. — The Royal Family (@RoyalFamily) July 8, 2025 Kate studied history of art at university. Camilla, meanwhile, was dressed in an ivory silk and crepe embroidered evening gown by Fiona Clare, and a sapphire and diamond tiara, necklace, earrings and bracelet, all part of Queen Elizabeth II's sapphire suite. The Queen was also wearing the Legion d'Honneur French sash, Garter Star and the King's family order. Mrs Macron wore a vivid blue caped evening gown with gold epaulettes-style detail on the shoulder. The glittering event took place at Windsor Castle (Yui Mok/PA) It was both William and Kate's first time at a Windsor Castle banquet, with the last one being staged there 11 years ago for the Irish President Michael D Higgins in 2014. Earlier, Kate carried out royal duties as the first French state visit to the UK for 17 years began, accompanying the Macrons to Windsor with William, taking part in the carriage ride, the ceremonial welcome, the royal luncheon and Royal Collection exhibition. The princess had already embraced French fashion, choosing Christian Dior for her daytime engagements. Her blush pink Dior jacket was the 30 Montaigne Rose Des Vents Bar Jacket and a piece from the 2024 collection, and Kate paired it with a tulle skirt. L'Entente Cordiale in the Kitchens!🇬🇧🇫🇷 Chef @Raymond_Blanc OBE, an ambassador for the @KingsFdn, was invited to join the chefs at Windsor Castle to create the First Course and Dessert for this evening's State Banquet menu. — The Royal Family (@RoyalFamily) July 8, 2025 It was reimagined by Maria Grazia Chiuri, who was inspired by the original first created in 1947 by Dior himself. Kate's sleek hat was by Jess Collett. The princess was charmed with a kiss to the hand by Mr Macron as she and William met the French leader as he disembarked from his plane at RAF Northolt. Mr Macron took the princess's hand and leaned forward to deliver an air kiss towards it.

Gregg Wallace sacked as MasterChef presenter, says BBC News

The 60-year-old had stepped away from hosting the BBC cooking competition last year after a number of historical complaints came to light. There have been fresh claims about the TV presenter from 50 more people to the corporation including allegations he groped one MasterChef worker and pulled his trousers down in front of another, BBC News said. A university student has claimed he reached under her skirt and pinched her bottom in a nightclub, and a junior worker alleged he dropped his trousers in front of her while he was not wearing any underwear. Gregg Wallace co-presented MasterChef until last year (Ian West/PA) Production firm Banijay previously said Wallace is 'committed to fully co-operating' with the external review while his lawyers have previously strongly denied 'he engages in behaviour of a sexually harassing nature', according to BBC News. Some of the more recent claims include a MasterChef worker who said she tried to complain about comments she alleged he made about her body in 2022, and a former policeman who said he tried to raise concerns after he allegedly witnessed Wallace making inappropriate sexual comments at a charity event in 2023. BBC News reported the majority of the 50 people had said he made inappropriate sexual comments, with 11 women accusing him of inappropriate sexual behaviour, such as groping and touching. BBC News also said it has not seen the final Banijay report but it is understood the presenter has been sacked. Earlier on Tuesday, the former greengrocer claimed he had been cleared of the 'most serious and sensational accusations' against him ahead of the report examining his alleged misconduct. In a statement posted on his Instagram account, he said: 'I will not go quietly. I will not be cancelled for convenience. I was tried by media and hung out to dry well before the facts were established. 'The full story of this incredible injustice must be told and it is very much a matter of public interest.' He also said he recognises that some of his humour and language was inappropriate 'at times' and apologised for this. Wallace started out as a greengrocer before he shot to fame fronting BBC shows including Inside The Factory, Supermarket Secrets, as well as MasterChef, Celebrity MasterChef and MasterChef: The Professionals. The most recent series of MasterChef: The Professionals continued to air last year amid allegations against Wallace, but two MasterChef celebrity Christmas specials were pulled from the BBC's schedule in December 2024. At the time, Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy said she would look to impose new standards in the creative industry amid the allegations. A BBC spokesperson said: 'Banijay UK instructed the law firm Lewis Silkin to run an investigation into allegations against Gregg Wallace. 'We are not going to comment until the investigation is complete and the findings are published.' Banijay UK declined to comment on Wallace's comments.
