There's a new sports power couple, and this one actually brings non-metaphorical "power" to the table. San Francisco 49ers lineman Drew Moss is dating former Colorado State track and field star Mya Lesnar, daughter of WWE wrestler Brock Lesnar.
Moss, who joined the 49ers as an undrafted free agent in April, announced the relationship on Instagram, posting a picture with Lesnar with the caption, "Forever wedding date."
Lesnar responded to the post by saying, "My handsome man."

Moss joined the 49ers after spending the last two seasons with Colorado State. He earned second-team All-MWC honors after starting all 13 games with the team as a senior.
Lesnar was a standout track and field athlete at Colorado State before her graduation. She excelled at the school, becoming the 2024 NCAA Indoor Shot Put National Champion. She was also named the 2024 Mountain West Female Athlete of the Year.
Following her graduation, Lesnar joined Diamond League, where she participates in track and field events. She competed at the 2025 Prefontaine Classic in July, where she finished 10th in shot put.

Denis Bouanga, Hugo Lloris lead LAFC over Minnesota United 1-0 for third straight shutout victory

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Denis Bouanga scored on a first-half penalty kick and Hugo Lloris made it stand up for his third straight clean sheet as Los Angeles FC edged Minnesota United 1-0 on Wednesday night. Bouanga scored his 11th goal when he sent a right-footed shot past Dayne St. Clair in the 42nd minute. The PK was awarded after Jeremy Ebobisse was fouled by defender Nicolás Romero, who received a yellow card. Lloris finished with three saves for his league-high-tying ninth clean sheet of the season for LAFC (10-5-5). St. Clair entered with nine shutouts and totaled five saves for Minnesota United (11-5-7), which falls to 6-3-3 at home. Minnesota United has just one home win over LAFC, which joined the league in 2018. That came in March of last season in the debut of Minnesota manager Eric Ramsay. LAFC posted a 1-0 victory over Minnesota United at home in the season opener. LAFC improves to 2-3-4 on the road. The club was coming off shutout wins at home over the Colorado Rapids and FC Dallas by a combined 5-0 score. LAFC will host the Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday. Minnesota United travels to play the Portland Timbers on Saturday. ___ AP soccer: ,

Sam Surridge scores MLS-leading 17th goal, adds assist as Nashville beats Crew 3-0

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Sam Surridge had a goal and an assists, Hany Mukhtar also scored a goal and Nashville SC beat Columbus 3-0 on Wednesday night to snap the Crew's five-game unbeaten streak, which included four wins. Joe Willis had four saves and his eighth shutouts this season — tied for third most in MLS — for Nashville (13-5-5). Nashville took a 1-0 lead in the second minute on an own goal by Sean Zawadzki. Edvard Tagseth, on the counter-attack, tapped a first-touch pass from the top of the area to the left side, where Alex Muyl played a chest-high entry that was redirected into the net by Zawdzki. Mukhtar scored in the 30th make it 2-0. Surridge, on the counter-attack, played a low cross from the left side of the area to a charging Mukhtar for a sliding finish the deflected off the hands of goalkeeper Patrick Schulte into the net. Surridge made it 3-0 with MLS-leading 17th goal of the season in the 82nd. Andy Nájar played a low ball-ahead that led Ahmed Qasem toward the right end line and, as Schulte darted to the near post, Qasem tapped a back-pass to Surridge for a first-touch finish into a wide-open net. Schulte finished with two saves. Columbus (11-4-8) had 58% possession and outshot Nashville 23-10, though each team had just four on target. Nashville lost 2-1 to Lionel Messi — who scored two goals for his MLS-record fifth consecutive game — Miami last time out to snap a four-game win streak and a club-record 12-match unbeaten streak. The teams played to a 2-2 tie on May 28. ___ AP soccer:

Von Miller signing 1-year deal with the Washington Commanders, AP source says

Von Miller is signing with the Washington Commanders, with the NFL's active sacks leader joining the team roughly a week before training camp opens. Miller and the team have agreed on a one-year contract, according to a person familiar with the deal. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Wednesday night because the contract had not been announced. 'DC... What's good?' Miller posted on social media with an automated image of himself in a No. 24 Commanders unform. The 36-year-old edge rusher felt like he still had more to give after getting released by Buffalo in a salary cap-saving move in March. Injuries derailed his time with the Bills, limiting him to 11, 12 and 13 games each of the past three seasons. Miller had six sacks last year to reach 129 1/2 in his professional career, which began with nearly a decade with Denver when he was a three-time Pro Bowl selection. He helped the Broncos win the Super Bowl and was MVP of that game, then won it again in the 2021 season with the Los Angeles Rams. Pass rush was the one apparent need Washington had, coming off a 12-win season with Offensive Rookie of the Year quarterback Jayden Daniels, who led the team on an improbable trip to the NFC championship game. General manager Adam Peters acquired receiver Deebo Samuel and standout left tackle Laremy Tunsil in trades and used free agency to fill other voids on either side of the ball. ___ AP NFL: Stephen Whyno, The Associated Press
