Met Office: Sunny 27 degree temperature expected in Carlisle this week
Temperatures could reach up to 27 degrees in Carlisle on Saturday, July 12, with a whole week of sunshine forecasted by the Met Office.
One or two showers will feed southeastwards across the region tomorrow morning.
However, increasing amounts of sunshine are likely. It will be pleasantly warm in the sunshine, although breezy and maximum temperatures will reach 19 degrees.
Tuesday promises to be a dry day with warm sunshine, and winds will ease. Patchy cloud is likely, though staying mostly dry and turning very warm in the sunshine.
Wednesday and Thursday will both reach up to 22 degrees with sunny intervals throughout both days.
Friday and Saturday are set to be the hottest days during the week, reaching highs of 27 degrees.
June was the hottest on record across England, according to the Met Office. There were two heatwaves during the second half of the month.
