Former Notre Dame wide receiver changes schools again
Former Notre Dame wide receiver Tobias Merriweather has left Cal and will sign with Utah.
Merriweather has 26 career catches for 450 yards and four touchdowns with Cal and Notre Dame. He spent two seasons with the Fighting Irish.
The junior from Camas, Washington, will now be a member of the Utes.
Merriweather's most productive season at Notre Dame was 2023, when he had 14 catches for 284 yards, two touchdowns, and a long of 75 yards. He had 20.3 yards per catch that year.

Colorado football's 2026 offer letters are out of this world
Deion Sanders is quite possibly college football's leader when it comes to swag, and he has brought every ounce of his bravado to the Colorado Buffaloes football team. He has brought in refreshed uniforms, new gear and a superior culture that was severely lacking before his arrival. That swag is, of course, a significant presence in recruiting, and it put the program's 2026 offer letters over the top. The official offers were sent out to Colorado's class of 2026 verbal commits, and as of Friday evening, there are ten. Colorado's top-rated commit, defensive back Preston Ashley, showed off the letter in a social media post. The offer letter includes trading cards of each coach on Colorado's staff, with each emphasizing the NFL experience that is so abundant. Each card features a picture of the coach with their former NFL team, along with a couple of seemingly exclusive cards of Deion Sanders himself. It truly is a unique and creative way to showcase the coaching talent currently in Boulder to recruits. Each letter also comes with a personalized trading card that resembles a one-of-one collectible card. Steelers inquired about potential Terry McLaurin trade, but one holdup remains, per report
The Terry McLaurin to Pittsburgh rumors are heating up — as a new report has indicated the Steelers have reached out to the Washington Commanders about a possible trade. According to DK Pittsburgh Sports' Chris Halicke, sources say Steelers GM Omar Khan reached out to the Washington Commanders to inquire about McLaurin's availability — but financial obligations may hold up a deal. "In reaching out to the Commanders, the Steelers learned that McLaurin not only wants to be paid like a true No. 1 receiver, which is expected, he wants to be a true No. 1 receiver on whatever team he plays on in 2025 and beyond," Halicke wrote. "With the Steelers having DK Metcalf signed to a five-year, $150 million contract, they've committed to him as their No. 1 receiver." ESPN's Adam Schefter previously echoed a similar sentiment — revealing on The Pat McAfee Show that McLaurin wants to surpass Metcalf's $33 million per season. Still, Khan's inquiry is an exciting development — one that should come as no surprise considering the blockbuster moves made by Pittsburgh this offseason.
