Liam Neeson jokes sex scenes with Pamela Anderson were his favourite part of The Naked Gun

Liam Neeson has joked his favourite part of The Naked Gun was filming "the sex scenes" with Pamela Anderson.
The 73-year-old actor stars as Frank Drebin Jr. opposite Anderson as nightclub singer Beth in the upcoming comedy reboot, and Neeson has now teased he particularly enjoyed shooting their love scenes, which were made with the help of an intimacy coordinator.
The Sun newspaper reports Liam joked the best bit of the shoot was "the sex scenes", and he added of the intimacy coordinator: "I'd never had one before.
"But she was in the background. There was no kind of: 'Ok! Excuse me!'"
The publication goes on to report Liam claimed the intimacy coordinator threw her hands in the air and exclaimed: "I can't take this! This is too hot for me. I'm going for coffee."
In The Naked Gun - which is a new take on the original Leslie Nielsen 1988 comedy movie - Detective Frank Drebin Jr. (Neeson) takes on his first big case, determined to solve a high-profile murder and save the police department from closure.
Following in his father's hilariously clumsy footsteps, he stumbles through outrageous situations while trying to solve the mystery.
Neeson recently said he didn't want to 'emulate' Nielsen in the new film, which was directed by Akiva Schaffer and hits screens on 1 August.
He told Empire magazine: 'I wouldn't say nerve-wracking, but every day I would go up to Akiva after we wrapped and say, 'How was it?' Because I just didn't know.
'I did not want to emulate the wonderful Leslie Nielsen, but the only thing I grabbed from him, was, 'Be serious. Don't try to be funny. Just stick to being a serious cop who is a bit of a doofus.''
The Taken actor also admitted he wasn't sure if he was funny enough for The Naked Gun - which also stars Paul Walter Hauser and Danny Huston.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Neeson said: 'During the whole shoot - I'm being very honest - I still did not know, when we wrapped at the end of each working day, whether it was working for me.
'Pamela, Paul, Danny, everybody else, I thought, were very funny. I just couldn't put a verdict on myself, on my own performance.
'I'd always ask Akiva, 'Are you sure it's working?' That continued from day one till we finished.''

'This is a full-scale takeover': Why the $10 million wedding of Apple heiress Eve Jobs and British Olympian Harry Charles has sparked a full village lockdown in rural Oxfordshire

A picturesque English village has gone into virtual lockdown as preparations ramp up for one of the year's most extravagant weddings between billionaire heiress Eve Jobs and British Olympic showjumper Harry Charles. The bride, 27, is none other than the youngest daughter of late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs and American philanthropist Laurene Powell Jobs. She and Charles, 26, are celebrating their nuptials with a jaw-dropping four-day affair in the heart of the Cotswolds, reportedly costing more than £5 million (A$10.3 million). Locals say the entire area around the exclusive Estelle Manor country hotel, formerly Eynsham Hall, has been effectively shut down as security teams, helicopters, and convoys of blacked-out SUVs descend on the usually quiet Oxfordshire village. "This is a full-scale takeover of the high-end venues in the Cotswolds for a huge event… there are going to be a lot of VIPs here this weekend," one resident told MailOnline. Another source described the occasion to The Sun as being "planned like a military operation," adding, "It's a society wedding like no other and it's turning rural Oxfordshire upside down. "The sleepy village feels like it's turning into a no-go zone, with secret service operatives and blokes who look like they work for the FBI." The star-studded guest list includes politicians, royals, celebrities and elite athletes from both the UK and the US. Former US Vice President Kamala Harris, who shares a close friendship with Powell Jobs, is expected to attend, along with her daughter Phoebe. Bill Gates' daughter Jennifer Gates is also reportedly on the list. Sir Elton John is set to headline the entertainment, with a performance fee believed to be in the ballpark of $2 million for a one-hour set. Guests are reportedly arriving by private jet to Oxford Airport, before being whisked to the venue by helicopter. Also tipped to attend are Princess Beatrice, Apple design guru Jony Ive, equestrian Jessica Springsteen, daughter of Bruce Springsteen, Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders, and Sofia Abramovich, the daughter of former Chelsea Football Club owner Roman Abramovich. Behind the scenes, the Jobs family has enlisted top-tier event planner Stanlee Gatti, known for his work on Christy Turlington's 2003 wedding and Ivy Getty's extravagant 2021 nuptials—to ensure every detail is perfect. Powell Jobs, also shares son Reed, 33, and daughter Erin, 29, with the late Steve Jobs, who died in 2011 from pancreatic cancer at age 56. It's not known whether Eve's half-sister Lisa Brennan-Jobs, 47, will attend. Eve and Harry began dating in 2022 and made their relationship public at the Paris Olympics last year, where Eve was spotted cheering him on at Versailles. Harry, the son of 2012 team jumping gold medallist Peter Charles, followed in his father's footsteps and made his Team GB debut at the Tokyo Games in 2020 before securing gold in Paris. The couple reportedly bonded over their shared love of horses. Eve, a champion equestrian in her own right, has competed internationally and took home a bronze medal at the 2019 Pan American Games in Peru. That same year, she was ranked fifth among the world's top under-25 riders. After graduating from Stanford with a degree in science, technology and society, Eve turned her attention to modelling. She made her runway debut for Coperni at Paris Fashion Week in 2021 and has since graced the pages of Vogue, Vanity Fair, and fronted campaigns for Louis Vuitton. She was also named one of Tatler's "new generation of It Girls" in 2022.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle held 'peace talks' with King Charles aide for 'handouts' after dead Netflix deal

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle held "peace talks" with King Charles' aide because the couple are seeking "handouts', a source has claimed. Harry's chief communications officer, Meredith Maines, and UK-based PR representative Liam Maguire were photographed earlier this month with the King's top aide, Communications Secretary Tobyn Andreae, at the Royal Over-Seas League, just around the corner from Clarence House. The Duke of Sussex, 40, gave his "blessing" for the summit between aides, marking a major development in the royal family estrangement. Journalist and author Robert Jobson spoke to The Sun's latest Royal Exclusive show on Wednesday after Netflix scrapped the Sussexes' $100 million deal, saying the cancelled contract spurred the meeting to occur. 'Well, the deal was always set about $100 million, wasn't it?" he said. 'And the talk of that figure sort of blew a lot of people's minds, but I think that was for productions and things that they're supposed to have done. 'Where does it leave them? Probably with a bit of a bowl out, looking for some handouts.' Mr Jobson said he thought "maybe that's why" Harry and Meghan's aides were over in the UK having discussions with the King's representatives. He said in reality, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex received support from the King and the late Queen Elizabeth II before leaving the firm in 2020. However, going their own way ultimately led to them losing their multi-million-dollar Spotify contract in 2023, and now their income with Netflix. 'They can't rely on the Spare money forever, can they?' Mr Jobson said in apparent reference to proceeds from Harry's 2023 memoir. Netflix decided not to renew the Sussexes' lucrative deal when it expires in September following a series of flops, The Sun reported on Tuesday. According to the publication, the streamer's executives quietly agreed to part ways with the renegade royals. An official announcement from Netflix and the Sussexes about the details of the partnership demise was reportedly canned. It comes after new figures released by Netflix found the Duchess's new cooking show With Love Meghan failed to break into the top 300 shows. Meanwhile, just 500,000 people watched Harry's Polo project, which one reviewer described as an "unintentionally hilarious profile of the world's stupidest sport". It's understood Netflix bosses were meanwhile irritated Meghan prioritised her As Ever brand, which she launched in February. Then the streaming giant last month signed the dotted line with King Charles and English actor Idris Elba for a documentary exploring the impact of the King's Trust, in celebration of the charity's 50th anniversary. Retaining any deal with the Sussex could have reportedly hindered the currently untitled project, set to launch on Netflix in Autumn 2026. Nevertheless, a source told The Sun rival streamer Paramount+ was open to working with the couple, who could be on board for the right project.

Mortifying moment Lady Gaga falls to the ground in front of fans in awkward concert blunder

Lady Gaga fell to the ground just inches away from fans during an awkward slip-up at her Las Vegas concert over the weekend. Pop superstar Gaga, 39, was performing Vanish Into You during Saturday night's Mayhem Ball show at the T-Mobile Arena when the mishap unfolded, reports The Sun. It began when one of her cameramen lost his balance after departing the stage and had to be steadied by a nearby security guard. Gaga calmly adjusted the crew member's equipment and continued walking – only to trip herself moments later. She managed to catch her footing and carried on singing, but stumbled again just before the word 'fly' and fell sideways near the edge of the stage. The moment, caught on fan cameras, showed the singer landing close to the front row, where audience members were watching from just feet away. One shared the clip to TikTok, writing: 'MY POOR MOTHER MONSTER FALLING DURING VANISH INTO YOU [crying emoji] AND THE CAMERAMAN JUST BEFORE.' Despite the tumble, Gaga was helped up and immediately resumed the song without missing a beat. The incident took place during the first week of Gaga's global tour, which launched on 16 July and will continue through to January with a final run of shows in Japan. It follows a series of stage mishaps involving other major stars. Beyoncé was recently left suspended mid-air during a Texas show when a red car she was performing in got stuck. During her performance of 16 Carriages, the superstar hopped into a red car which was then lifted high into the air using cables. She pulled on a silver cowboy hat and waved an American flag for her in-air adventures, yet was forced to halt the song as the vehicle leaned dangerously to one side. The crowd paused when she stopped singing and signalled for help, before erupting into cheers as the vehicle was lowered to solid ground. Like a pro, Beyonce continued the song then told her adoring fans: 'I wanna thank y'all, for loving me. 'If ever I fall, I know y'all will catch me.' Katy Perry, meanwhile, nearly fell from a giant sphere on her Lifetimes tour in Australia and later appeared to slip on a butterfly-shaped prop during Roar. She had climbed into the huge metal structure when it began tilting dramatically at a strange angle. An army of quick-thinking backstage crew members raced onto the set in Australia to steady the massive prop so Katy – who was clinging on to the sides – could climb down safely. With the backing music stopped, the crowd could be heard applauding the star and shouting 'go, Katy!' as she made her way out and onto the floor.
