The Weeknd will bring 'After Hours Til Dawn' stadium tour to Minneapolis
The Weeknd released his new album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, on Jan. 31 and accompanied the release with a slate of summer tour dates that includes a stop in Minneapolis on June 14.
It'll be his first show in Minnesota since performing at Xcel Energy Center in 2017 alongside Gucci Mane. He had a scheduled show at the Wild arena in 2022, but it was canceled as he transitioned from arenas to stadiums in the middle of the tour.
The "After Hours Til Dawn" tour promises a "never-before-seen production," which is probably expected given the artist's reputation for putting care into the details. The setlist for his 2024 tour will focus on songs from the trilogy but also include hits from his full catalog.
Hurry Up Tomorrow is the final piece of a trilogy of albums that began with 2020's After Hours and includes 2022's Dawn FM. The R&B hitmaker and often meme-able artist performed a song from the new album, "Open Hearts," last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The Weeknd will be joined by Playboi Carter and Mike Dean during the tour, which starts on May 9 in Phoenix. The Minneapolis date is the only tour date in the Upper Midwest outside of a night in Chicago.
An artist presale — sign up here — will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 10 a.m. The general on-sale will take place on Friday, Feb. 7 at 10 a.m. VIP tickets are also available, because that seems to come standard with stadium tours now.
The VIP package will come with a ticket to see the Hurry Up Tomorrow film in theaters during its opening week. That movie, a psychological thriller directed by Trey Edward Schults and starring Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan with The Weeknd, will be released on May 16.

Peyton Manning Fan Goes Viral For Perfect Imitation of Ex-Colt, Bronco's Throwing Motion
Peyton Manning Fan Goes Viral For Perfect Imitation of Ex-Colt, Bronco's Throwing Motion originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The 2000s and 2010s brought with them some of the best quarterback play in the history of the NFL, and few if any players revolutionized the position more than former Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning Advertisement Manning was known as a five-star general on the field, directing traffic, calling audibles at the line of scrimmage and generally confusing opposing defenses en route to one of the most productive careers in NFL history. On Sunday, a Peyton Manning superfan went viral for his performance during an impersonation video as he perfectly nailed the NFL legend's unforgettable mannerisms. "Perfect imitation." Manning appeared in four Super Bowls over the course of his career, winning one with the Colts and one with the Broncos. Advertisement He was a Heisman Trophy finalist with the Tennessee Volunteers in 1997, losing to two-way defensive back/receiver Charles Woodson of Michigan. He was chosen number one overall in the 1998 NFL draft by the Colts, overcoming early struggles with interceptions to rattle off one of the most impressive careers for a quarterback in NFL history with 71,940 passing yards, 539 touchdowns, and 251 interceptions. Manning's final season with the Broncos was a less-than-impressive one as he played in 10 games, compiling 2,249 yards while throwing for nine touchdowns against 17 interceptions. Manning is known for his field general style and vocal leadership skills at the line of scrimmage, as well as his sideline dust-ups with players including former Colts center Jeff Saturday, a symbol of his take-charge leadership style. Terry Crews used art to make money during NFL career with Washington
Terry Crews was talented and in the NFL. Crews was a strong, fast linebacker for the Washington Redskins, and then suddenly he was not. Crews' journey to the NFL had not come easily. He didn't get to play at a big-time Big Ten or SEC university; instead, he played at Western Michigan. However, Crews exhibited enough speed, strength and athleticism that he was drafted by the LA Rams in the 11th round (281 overall) during the 1991 NFL Draft. Advertisement But life in the NFL is quite different than playing for one of the 365 Division 1 NCAA football teams. The NFL was 28 teams when Crews played his first season with the Rams in 1991. It's tough enough to make a 53-man roster as Crews did with the Rams. He was cut by multiple NFL teams but he did play one season each for three NFL teams: Rams (1991), Chargers (1993) and Redskins (1995). The NFL is brutal, and for all of his hard work, he was able to only contribute one solo tackle and on assist for the Redskins that least NFL season of his career. The linebacker's career in the NFL came to an abrupt end when the Redskins released him. Crews would later make it to Hollywood, being fortunate enough to earn roles in several television shows and several movies as well. But he didn't simply have Hollywood recruiting him when his NFL career ended. He had to rely on other talents. The surprising route for Crews was the he was very artistic and developed those talents as a kid growing up in Flint Michigan. He was given a flute and took lessons for eight years. He loved to draw and paint and did it well enough that he received an art scholarship to Western Michigan and then, later joined the football team. He even once drew courtroom sketches during the trial of a horrible murder case in Flint. Advertisement Telling his story once on a Jimmy Kimmel Show appearance, Crews told of how he was able to play for three NFL teams but was actually on six different teams in seven seasons trying to make a roster. So, he would ask players if they would like him to paint a portrait for them. He would do so and they would pay him. It's how he made money some of those years before he went to Hollywood. Here is one such portrait, of Crews' Washington Redskins teammate Brian Mitchell. Crews was 27 when he produced this wonderful portrait of Mitchell. His talents in music, art, acting are talents he can (and does) still use today, 30 years after his football career concluded. Crews appeared on Old Spice commercials for a time and has had several featured acting roles over the years. These days, Crews is best known as the host of "America's Got Talent."
