Summary
FUTURAis back withAnthony Galleryin Chicago for a solo exhibition calledFamily Affair. Though FUTURA is best known for his roots in New York City's graffiti scene, the presentation marks his first solo show in Chicago. He shares a personal connection to the city through his mother Billie who was born in Chicago and FUTURA spent summers there throughout his childhood, visiting his grandmother who suffered from chronic illness. The exhibition coincides with the 50th anniversary of his mother's passing, adding a deeply personal layer to the presentation.
In a statement, FUTURA reflects on those summers in Chicago, remembering peach cobbler on the porch, learning what a pantry was and the comfort of a home that felt far removed from his New York apartment. ''Family Affair' suggests my journey has come full circle,' he said in a press statement.
The exhibition features new large-scale paintings, collages, a six-panel work and pieces made on skateboards. Altogether, these works continue FUTURA's evolution as a multidisciplinary artist in all spheres of the art world while weaving in personal memories and cultural references.
The show opened June 17 and runs through July 26.

Astronomer Hired Gwyneth Paltrow To Answer Questions After The CEO Was Allegedly Caught Cheating At A Coldplay Concert

Today in "News You Didn't See Coming," Gwyneth Paltrow was hired at Astronomer — yes, the same company that recently went viral after two of its employees were caught "having an affair" at a Coldplay concert. Related: As seen in now-infamous video, Coldplay singer and (Gwyneth's ex) Chris Martin was highlighting fans on the jumbotron at a recent concert when the camera cut to two people getting cozy in the audience. Realizing they were on camera, the two immediately panicked and hid, leading Chris to joke that they were "having an affair." As it turned out, they seemingly were. The man in the video was later identified as Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, who is reported to be married with two kids, while the woman, later identified as CPO Kristin Cabot, reportedly got a divorce in 2022. After widespread jokes and commentary about the video, an internal investigation was launched. Andy ultimately resigned from his role last week, while Kristin's departure was announced on Thursday. @instaagraace / Via Related: Then, in the plot twist of all plot twists, Gwyneth was announced as a "temporary spokesperson" for the tech company. She shared the news herself yesterday in a video statement posted to Astronomer's X account. "Thank you for your interest in Astronomer," Gwyneth began. "Hi, I'm Gwyneth Paltrow. I've been hired on a very temporary basis to speak on behalf of the 300-plus employees at Astronomer." She said, "Astronomer has gotten a lot of questions over the last few days. And they wanted me to answer the most common ones." Related: Text then popped up on the screen, asking, "OMG what the actual f," which Gwyneth completely ignored to respond to a different question. "Yes, Astronomer is the best place to run Apace Airflow," she answered. "Unifying the experience of running data, ML, and AI pipelines at scale. We've been thrilled so many people have a newfound interest in data automation." She also said, "As for the other questions we've received — yes! There's still room available at our Beyond Analytics event in September. We will now be returning to what we do best, delivering game-changing results for our customers. Thank you for your interest in Astronomer." @astronomerio / Via Twitter: @astronomerio Viewers reacted to the video in the comments, with many calling it a "genius" and "brilliant" way to capitalize on all the publicity. "Turning an internet dragging of their CEO into a full-blown PR moment by bringing in Chris Martin's ex as a spokesperson? That's not marketing, that's wizardry," one tweet with over 4,000 likes read. "Guys this is a PR masterclass," another agreed, garnering over 12,000 likes. "You take the most viral moment of July 2025 and, instead of disaster control, make light of the situation and create the ultimate brand awareness. Bravo." Related: Someone else said it was "one of the best crisis responses" they've ever seen. "You hired the Coldplay singer's ex-wife. Extraordinary," said another. "Honestly, well done to the marketing team, this is incredible haha," one viewer wrote on Reddit, as others called it both a "brilliant" and "hilarious" move by the company. "This is so unserious, I love it," said one person, as another said it was "well-played." "Their social media and PR team all deserve a nice vacation far away from any upcoming Coldplay concerts," one more shared. Honestly, yes. Hopefully, Chris responds to this — I'm dying to know what he thinks! Until then, share your thoughts on all of this in the comments. Astronomer executives' Coldplay scandal: Why it went viral and the obsession with public shaming

If combining the words 'kiss cam', 'Coldplay', 'Astronomer' and 'affair' means nothing to you, you have managed to be blissfully unaware of the internet's weekend meltdown over a very public spectacle. Here's the TL;DR recap: A couple, who were in a tight embrace, created a buzz among concertgoers – and later, the world – when they pulled a duck/hide move after they were featured on the kiss cam at a Coldplay concert in Boston. Their reaction was so suspicious that the band's frontman Chris Martin quipped: 'Either they are having an affair or they're just very shy.' It turned out that Martin was right, and the cheating pair were colleagues at US tech firm Astronomer. Internet sleuths uncovered their names and job titles – he's Andy Byron the now-former chief executive at the company; she's Kristin Cabot, Astronomer's chief people officer – as well as information about their other relationships. People also found out who Mr Byron's wife was, with some even sending her messages about what they thought of her husband. Beyond the illicit affair being publicly exposed, the incident led to much introspection about what happens when private moments become public, and leadership credibility. Also, what is our obsession with public shaming? In this episode of The Usual Place podcast, I will speak with: Stephanie Phua, founder of marketing and branding collective Duo Studio and co-founder of The Trampoline Club, a platform which pushes for compassion, understanding and mutual respect in conversations; Pan Huiyan, a millennial leadership coach; and Dr Sunny Johar, managing director for South-east Asia at digital experience agency KRDS. HR Exec Who Was Seen Wrapped in CEO's Arms in Viral Coldplay Video Remains in Role as Company Moves Forward

Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot's reaction to being caught on camera led Chris Martin to joke that they were either "very shy" or were "having an affair" While Astronomer CEO Andy Byron resigned over the weekend after he was seen wrapping his arms around one of his female executives at a concert, she appears to still be with the company as new leadership is vowing to move forward. Kristin Cabot, Astronomer's chief people officer, was caught in the now-infamous clip with Byron in the audience at a Coldplay show in Massachusetts last week. Their unusual reaction — she quickly turned her back to the so-called "kiss cam" and he ducked out of sight — led Martin to joke that 'either they're having an affair or they're just very shy.' Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. Both Byron and Cabot are reportedly married; neither has spoken publicly about the nature of their relationship. As of Wednesday, July 23, Cabot is still listed on the company website in her role as chief people officer, though Byron has been removed. (Efforts to reach her for comment have been unsuccessful.) An Astronomer spokesman previously said that "no other employees were in the video." The entire imbroglio spawned countless memes and mockery and put a national spotlight, for a few days, on the former colleagues. Many online purported to dig up and share personal details about both of their families. The controversy was also the subject of much discussion about the nature of privacy in a digital age and what behavior should and shouldn't subject someone to public scrutiny. In a press release in November announcing Cabot's hiring at Astronomer, Byron was quoted as saying her 'exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and scaling people strategies will be critical as we continue our rapid trajectory. She is a proven leader.' In a statement after Byron stepped down titled "Moving Forward at Astronomer," his replacement, Pete DeJoy, acknowledged that 'the events of the past few days have received a level of media attention that few companies—let alone startups in our small corner of the data and AI world—ever encounter." All of the attention had been 'unusual and surreal for our team,' DeJoy said, 'and, while I would never have wished for it to happen like this, Astronomer is now a household name."
