The Post called the film 'another embarrassing dino retread' and bashed Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey's characters as 'some of the blandest' in the series.
This is the first foray into the prehistoric franchise for Johansson, who has been a fan since she laid eyes on its first installment, 1993's 'Jurassic Park.'

'I was really crazy about the film, and I slept in a 'Jurassic Park' pup tent in my bedroom I shared with my sister for a year,' she told Vanity Fair.
'Anytime the trades would report a new 'Jurassic' movie, I would forward to my agents like, 'Hey, I'm available.''
The action sci-fi flick — the fourth in the 'Jurassic World' series — was released on Wednesday, and projections for its five-day earnings through the weekend are topping $141 million.
'F1: The Movie' downshifted to second place, after spending its opener last Friday in first.

It is now the biggest opening weekend for the Oscar-winning actor in his 37-year acting career.

'Absolutely. It's such an audacious idea and I cant think of any other film that that's ever happened. To allow us to embed ourselves into the racing season. I had the time of my life,' Pitt gushed on the podcast.

When Will Jurassic World Rebirth Get Its Digital & Streaming Release Date?

Wondering when you can watch Jurassic World Rebirth at home or how long it'll stay in theaters? The latest chapter in the dinosaur saga brings a new cast, a standalone story, and a fresh setting—sparking questions about its digital and streaming timeline. With its summer release now underway, many are looking ahead to when it hits platforms like Peacock and digital storefronts. Here's what we know about Jurassic World Rebirth's expected digital release date and when it will begin streaming on Peacock. Universal Pictures typically releases its films for digital purchase or rental before they arrive on streaming platforms. Based on recent trends, the gap between a theatrical debut and digital release usually spans 18 to 39 days, averaging 28.5 days. Jurassic World Dominion, the previous installment, took 53 days to arrive on video-on-demand (VOD) platforms. If Jurassic World Rebirth follows a similar pattern, it may be available digitally by August 24, 2025. Universal tends to delay digital releases for its biggest films to maximize box office returns. Jurassic World Rebirth likely follows this extended window, given its reported $180 million budget and a cast that includes Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey. Jurassic World Rebirth's streaming home will be Peacock, NBCUniversal's platform. Universal has not officially announced a streaming release date for Jurassic World Rebirth. However, its recent release history shows a typical window of 49 to 120 days between theatrical and streaming debuts. Titles like Kung Fu Panda 4, Wicked, and Despicable Me 4 followed windows of 105 to 120 days. Jurassic World Dominion, the previous film in the franchise, came to streaming 102 days after its theatrical premiere. If Rebirth follows this pattern, it is projected to arrive on Peacock between October 12 and October 30, 2025. Peacock currently hosts all six previous Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies. It also includes recent Universal titles such as Wicked and Despicable Me 4, indicating its central role as the primary streaming destination for Universal's major theatrical releases.

Lewis Hamilton gets commentator a part in F1 movie

Racing commentator David Croft has credited racer Lewis Hamilton for getting him a part in the film F1. Speaking ahead of the British Grand Prix in Silverstone the broadcaster explained how Hamilton, who like him is from Stevenage, Hertfordshire, insisted he was part of the film. Filmmakers had wanted to use actors to deliver commentary during racing sequences, but Hamilton had pushed to use Croft and Martin Brundle instead. He said: "It was Lewis Hamilton who came up with the idea and I've said to him he could be my agent anytime he wants." At the premiere in New York in June, Croft introduced himself to Brad Pitt - the film's star - who recognised him and told him the two commentators "legitimise everything we do in this movie". At the London premiere on 23 June Croft said he scored "dad points" by introducing his son to the movie star, who did not believe the two knew one another. He laughed: "I said, 'James, this is Brad. Brad, this is James,' and [Pitt] went: "Ah, Crofty Junior, so good to see you, man." During the New York premiere Croft and Hamilton had a moment to discuss their shared hometown of Stevenage. Despite meeting many times, and the broadcaster commentating on Hamilton's races since he won his first F1 title in 2008, the two had never discussed that they were from the same place. He recalled: "Martin and Lewis and I were having a chat and I went... we are so far from Stevenage now. "He laughed and chuckled, I said 'did you ever think one day we'd be in Time Square having shut New York down to do a film premiere?' He went: 'No, it's just crazy.'" Steven Spielberg Required 4 Things From Jurassic World Rebirth

Jurassic Park director Steven Spielberg was heavily involved as an executive producer on Jurassic World Rebirth. When the new dinosaur adventure was in development, Spielberg shared feedback with Rebirth's screenwriter, David Koepp, about what he wanted to see in the movie. While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Koepp discussed Spielberg's involvement in Jurassic World Rebirth. Koepp, who penned the screenplays for Jurassic Park and The Lost World, revealed what was important for Spielberg in Rebirth. 'That it should be scary. We should see some things that we've never seen before,' Koepp said about Spielberg's feedback for Jurassic World Rebirth. 'Let's make the science as close to real as we can. And something that is important to him with everything — but in this movie in particular — he really wanted to avoid anything that was a self reference. He does not like to quote himself. He's allergic to it. If you put something in that rings too familiar, he'll say, 'Didn't I already do that? Don't do that.'' Spielberg is the one who recruited Koepp to pen another Jurassic Park screenplay. Koepp said Spielberg feels a 'responsibility' to keep the Jurassic franchise alive since he helped create it. 'He [Spielberg] the one who started this [franchise]. It's his,' Koepp said in the same interview. 'So I think he felt a certain care and responsibility to ask, 'How can this go on? What would make it really good?'' Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, Zora Bennett leads a paleontologist and a team of mercenaries on a mission to a remote island that dinosaurs inhabit. The plan is to extract DNA from the three largest dinosaurs across land, sea, and air. The DNA could then be turned into a drug to save countless lives. However, the dinosaurs have other ideas and battle the humans to protect their home. Jurassic World Rebirth stars Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, and Ed Skrein. Gareth Edwards directs Jurassic World Rebirth from a screenplay by Koepp. The movie is now in theaters everywhere. Originally reported by Dan Girolamo on SuperHeroHype.
